It's Autumn! We were lazy so, you're stuck with the same skin.

Asuka padded into some shallow water, bending her neck to take a drink. She lapped at the cool water as it soothed her throat. Akki had accepted her a few days ago. Now part of a pack, Asuka was happy she wasn't alone. She let the water swirl around her paws. She pricked her ears, but she only heard distant birds. It's so lonely here, She thought.
She shook off the feeling. Perhaps, she should find some one to talk to? But who would that be? She didn't think anyone would enjoy being seen with a new subordinate wolf. She licked her glossy, black fur. The trickling sound of the slow river soothed her. She lifted her head gracefully and let out a low, long howl. She sat on her haunches and peered around. What tranquility, She thought.

The howl was not a summon, but Akki was lacking in the socializing area. She was so bummed up busy that often she was wandering for extended periods of time with little interaction. Her family usually didn't want much to do with her, and Tatsu had started to actively avoid her while Misora, strangely, warmed up to her. She figured it was probably because of Gekirin, or something. Misora had surprised her not long ago by trying to speak the name 'mother', but other than that Akki still was convinced that the girl was actually mentally slow in some way. What other reason could explain her lack of speech? It obviously wasn't a physical issue.
"Bored?" She asked casually, lowering her old bag of bones to drink. Asuka was a new member to the pack, essentially fresh. Akki didn't know much about her at all, but she looked like just another weak, stupid female like the rest of them. What ever happened to the strong, warrior pack of the ancient lines? Yamamori had clearly fallen into decay, for Akki and Fuego were the last of the remaining great warriors. Toorima's line was broken now, as her only remaining children were all idiots and had obviously taken more Sangra into them. Surprisingly, Gekirin was probably the better of them, despite being raised by Dhrejon himself. Bah.
Woman, you live in the past too much. She thought to herself, eying the ebony girl with a vague lack of interest.

(November)
We are now nearing the end of what has been a chill Autumn season. Things continue to cool down considerably and we are now starting to see the first signs of snow, ice, wind, and bitter cold in the northern areas. Many days are cast with grey skies, but occasionally we still have some sunshine. This sun is not like to last for long, and it is still terribly cold even when it is shining brightly. So far the human issues to the West have calmed down somewhat but probably only because of the colder weather. Meanwhile, life in Yamamori continues, though perhaps something sinister is in the works.
Temperatures for the month will remain from 30-50 degrees with a 70% chance of rain, snow in the northern areas. Storms are likely and will include violent wind, heavy downpours, sleet, and possibly snow.
The litter of puppies is now seven months old. They have a good hold on language even though they're still learning somewhat. They have lost all of their baby teeth and can now practice hunting skills, but they will have to wait until they are eight months old to participate in pack hunts. They can only capture smaller animals for now and need to be taught to improve.
