Pinned me she said, and he smirked. He backed a way a little bit as she pushed at his chest, but did remain close in case he wanted to pounce again. Yokushin kept his golden eyes trained on her, awaiting her attack whenever it was due. Surely she would be preparing a retaliation for all he had done and he wanted to be fairly ready for it when he came, if it came that is. When she did come at him however, he yipped a odd sort of play bark and tried to backpedal away from it but all the water made it too awkward. So much for all of his previous mental preparation it seemed, but no matter. It wasn't like this was an awful, life or death situation here, just good nature play. As she tried to jump up onto him, he wiggled around and splashed a little, laughing as he did so. Eventually though, he let himself tumble under her "mighty force" and created an epic splash as he did so. He sucked a little too much water into his nose so snorted wetly as he flopped like an awkward fish-Yokushin thing with Rina now towering over him in their soggy mess of play. "I think you win this round." he snickered, ears shifting around on his head. She might have won this one, but he wasn't done. Jumping up from his previous spot, he sprung up to stand upright and jumped a few big paces away to plant all of his paws on dry land. He brought a good amount of wetness with him up onto the grass and was forced to pause to shake it off a little because he had been just so bogged down. Glancing back, he waited to see if she would follow..

Rina giggled as he sprang up and pushed her away. The water churned around her paws as he stepped out and she followed with a kind smile. Her paws reached up onto the grass and she stood by the wet brown blob of Yokushin.

She gave him a good-natured friendly nuzzle and then stepped back as though the water-wrestling match had been declared over. She chuckled under her breath and blinked the water out of her eyes before ringing out her wet hairs in a big shake, most of the water landing on Yokushin. Rina liked Yokushin, he was nice, he had proved that to this wolfess. "Good game." She said in a tired tone, a slight pant rising to her mouth. "Woo, I'm tired now." Rina said in a sort of exasperated gasp.

The fem lowered her body to the ground in a laying position and looked up at Yokushin as though she was inviting him to lay with her. The day was slowly getting cooler and it was almost sun-down but not quite. The sun was threatening to drop yet it hung in there, shining over the landscape from its view in space.

I think her and Yoku will be good friends. ;3

Rina followed him, which he of course liked a fair bit. But once up on the shore, he wasn't sure where to go from there. Yokushin didn't know a boatload of other games to play but judging by her panting, she was okay without romping for a minute or two. "Yeah, me too." he answered with a sigh, remembering his hurts and aches but only a little. They had been effectively shoved aside for a while now which was a huge weight off his shoulders. As she relaxed a bit in the grass, Yokushin took a quick moment to consider the time of the day then realized something. "Hey Rina, do you have a den yet?" he asked gently after remembering that she said she was new and all. Maybe she didn't really have a concrete place to stay just yet, but then again, the weather wasn't exactly adverse so it wasn't like she would be super harmed if she slept outside for whatever reason. Maybe if she didn't yet..he could...help her find one maybe? Oh he didn't really know why he had even asked because he didn't think he would be much help on the whole situation, but wore a sheepish smile to cover up his inner complaints as he awaited her answer.

Rina perked her thin ears at his voice. "No I don't, what do you have in mind?" She asked in reply to his question. A fair bit of curiosity in her tone. She was thinking he would maybe help her find one or lend her his den while she didn't have one. Hm. This was a question her own mind couldn't answer so she waited, stumped, for his reply while getting more and more annoyed at the long stalks of grass tickling her chin.

What do you mean 'he liked fair bit' LOL and this is short turd post cuz I'm in a hurry.

*sweeps* I don't even know, was probably a half-composed thought because I was RUSHIN'. XD This post is le lame because Riocat is bothering me and I need to bathe animals. D:

Yokushin was no master realtor. He didn't know of a bunch of wonderful, vacant dens that he could show off to Rina. He did at least know where the denning area was so he supposed that was better than nothing, right? Oh hell he had no freaking idea. His own den wasn't nothing special, an old hole that had once actually belonged to Mother because he was too big of a wuss to find or create his own. Worst part of all, it wasn't even one of her good dens, just one of the ones she stayed in during the time of war to keep the spies off her tail. "Wellll, I could go help you look for one. I don't know of any open ones right away that are nice but we could...look?" he offered, sounding awkward as always. Yokushin was such a failboat when it came to almost intimate social situations. "Mine isn't anything special, y'know, but it's at least a place to stay. Dens get really useful around here when the winter gets closer because...winter isn't so nice here." he said, figuring that this knowledge would be useful to Rina considering that she was brand new to this place.

OOC: BHAFGJAYG NEW TABLE ISN'T IT SPECTACULAR? --- The wolfess giggled quietly, covering her maw with a paw to stop the noise from reaching Yokushin's ears. "I've noticed." She chuckled out. Suddenly a very strange sound erupted from the fem's stomach and this would probably reach the male's ears. "Oops.. I guess I'm hungry." Rina stuttered, rising up onto her feet slowly. "Wanna find some stuff to eat? And then find me a den?" She questioned, looking at Yoku with a wandering gaze that led to the fields in front of her. Rina's mind floated to the thought if she would find a den before Fall or even Winter. She certainly didn't want to die in an over-night blizzard. But would Yokushin let her sleep in his den if she didn't find one in time for Winter? Or another friend she made, if she did? Rina of coarse wanted a nice cozy one that wasn't as open and large, just a nice tunnel in the ground, yes a nice cozy, comfy tunnel in the ground...

If Rina, or anyone else in this packlands for that matter, ever did come to him needing use of his den, he probably would just give it up without question. He would just sit out in the snow, probably huddled against the roots of a big tree in hopes of not freezing too much. He was just that damn giving, probably to a fault, and had exhibited this time and time again. Not only had he wholly devoted himself to Mother during her time amongst the living, he had also aimed to take in others along the way, like Freya's puppies seasons ago. That, of course, wasn't the most positives of events in his life but at least he had tried. The members of that litter were all a little...peculiar now but hey, at least most of them were alive to his knowledge. Anyway, his "parenting" shortcomings and failures aside, Rina mentioned she was hungry. "Okay, we can head over to those fields and look for something." he said, gesturing with his snout in the direction of the hunting fields. A sting of recollection burned in his head when he thought about that place and how it had been where he had awoken a few weeks ago after his bout of insanity, but he did his best to shove it aside. Something to eat didn't sound half bad, he thought, and it wasn't all that often he even had anyone to hunt with so this was a great opportunity. With that, Yokushin rose to stand, noticing a bit of wetness still dampening parts of his coat. "Let's go." he said and turned himself in the direction of his destination.

Short, kinda with short paras and reusing of the word 'sometimes' way to much oh joy!

Rina followed him reluctantly, like a duckling and mother. He lead her through the long stalks of yellowish-green grass and she sneezed every once and a while to get the tickilish things out of her nose, not in. Still she followed until she stopped in a small clearing near Chiisai Kasui, which smelled of rabbits and deer. Oh how she loved the meat of rabbits and dear, sometimes stringy, sometimes chewy and sometimes tough, sometimes soft. Hell, Rina didn't know which kind of prey she wanted the most she just wanted some freaking food.

Soon, the scent of prey items drifted gently to his nose. He quickened his pace just a hair so that they could get to them quicker. He glanced back to Rina for a second then kept heading forward. "How 'bout a rabbit? I'm not too shabby at catching them." he said with a small smile. Of course, what he had said was truth. The tawny male had been catching rabbits for others for quite a long time and had even learned to catch them in bulk back when he had been taking care of Freya. Yokushin could smell a bit of rabbit not far and if his memory served correct, there were some rabbit holes not far from here that they could flush out and get at. To him, it sounded like quite a good plan but he awaited Rina's quick input before he barged into anything.

Rina nodded her colorful head and looked ahead of her, ears perked and scenting. A rabbit very nearby reached her nose and a dart of white and tan skipped through the grasses. The fem crouched very low and stalked the white and tan delicacy with very slow movements that were full of experienced hunting and stalking. The rabbit's black beady eyes reached Rina's view... leg muscles tensed... Get ready, her mind thought... and just when the prey's head turned in her direction... she sprang right onto its body and ended its terrifying life with a nice snap! of the neck. She confidently picked up the tasty morsel and marched over to Yokushin with a laughing gleam in her eyes and a bragging smile on her maw. Her chest was puffed out like a quail and she lifted her mouth open and spoke with a simple sing-songy tone. "Now lets see you try."

Yokushin hung back for a moment as Rina entered hunting mode. He didn't want to disrupt anything or risk scaring away her prey, but thankfully that didn't happen and she pounced on one and ended its life. The male gave a few wags of his tail and she pranced back with the limp body of a rabbit swinging from her jaws. Now, it was his turn. He didn't say anything back to her, but grinned before he began to scout out his rabbit of choice. Yokushin selected a hole a little ways away from where Rina had found hers since he figured those rabbits were all skittish and alert. He activated stalk mode when he could see a fluffy rabbit ass poking around in the grass and stayed like that for a moment before leaping into his version of an epic pounce. The rabbit saw him and began to sprint but he was ready for it and gave chase for a short while before seizing it in his teeth, effectively ending its life. It squealed for a second but that was it, so he picked it up and ambled on back to Rina. "Pretty good, huh?" he asked just after dropping his mangled up rabbit in a sloppy flop at his feet.
