This is the perfect place to ambush something, like an enemy packmember and boost your own combat skills or just look for a good challenge. There is a large tree that shields and towers over the area and make grand hiding place or lookout point and sometimes a hazy mist coats the area, making visiblity all that much more difficult. This area is right on the borders of the lands so there might be non Yamamori wolves around here as well as who knows what else, possibly cougars or even bears. It is advised that only the experienced warriors come here for all the dangers that are presented here.

A small series of streams and creeks that weave and worm through the trees. Sometimes in the warmer, dry months, they vanish or shrink, but for the most part, they just wiggle through the trees, providing water for various creatures passing through the forests. Fish are few and far between here but frogs and other amphibians are more common and are usually more interesting than an average fish. Lately there are a lot of tiny tributaries branching from the main river caused from flooding.

A bit towards the fields of Yamamori, there is an area many wolves refer to as the "bliss hills". This is because, in the spring and summer seasons, the grass on the hills become exceptionally green and beautiful. No shrubs or flowers cover the hills, but the soft feather-like grass is more than enough to make this a perfect area to play. The many rolling hills cover a large amount of space, so most of what you can see is bright green grass. In winter, huge amounts of snow cover the land, and in fall, many of the trees' leaves drift here and settle on the grass.

Off near the eastern border of Yamamori, there is an area of forest that is composed of nothing but conifer trees. This area is littered with pine, hemlock, and juniper trees and has a strong amount of that 'cedar' aroma. The ground is often littered with needles and pinecones from the trees, sometimes making it a slightly painful surface to tread. In the winter months, the trees maintain their green hue, making it quite a beautiful sight when they're dusted in sparkling snow. The trees also provide a pretty good shelter if you need it while adventuring on the eastern terrain.

Yamamap
Weather
(November)
We are now nearing the end of what has been a chill Autumn season. Things continue to cool down considerably and we are now starting to see the first signs of snow, ice, wind, and bitter cold in the northern areas. Many days are cast with grey skies, but occasionally we still have some sunshine. This sun is not like to last for long, and it is still terribly cold even when it is shining brightly. So far the human issues to the West have calmed down somewhat but probably only because of the colder weather. Meanwhile, life in Yamamori continues, though perhaps something sinister is in the works.

Temperatures for the month will remain from 30-50 degrees with a 70% chance of rain, snow in the northern areas. Storms are likely and will include violent wind, heavy downpours, sleet, and possibly snow.

The litter of puppies is now seven months old. They have a good hold on language even though they're still learning somewhat. They have lost all of their baby teeth and can now practice hunting skills, but they will have to wait until they are eight months old to participate in pack hunts. They can only capture smaller animals for now and need to be taught to improve.
