Getting away from everyone was getting a bit easier as the days went on by. Mother and Father didn't really seem to care much any way that he was gone, so why not take off by yourself? What could happen? The fireball of a puppy went out on his own on this fine day, hoping to come across someone a bit more appealing and interesting than that one female he met. Morrigan was such a mess. She was really mean and irritating for the most part. Why didn't she like company? Father said that not all wolves were nice around here, but why shouldn't they be? Rafael couldn't understand it at all. Girls were such weird things to him; just weird and very foreign. Green eyes looked around until he caught the sight of something flickering nearby. It was white and kind of speckled looking. Curious as a puppy should be, he took off after it. Prowling low to the ground, he pounced on to his prey. Well what he thought was his prey, actually turned out to be just a bird's feather. It was soft and fluffy to the touch. And he just so happened to like this new toy very much. The red mottled wolf took it apon himself to carry the feather with great pride, as if he had found the greatest treasure on earth. No way was he sharing this prize with Carmin. If she wanted something to play with, she would have to find something else on her own or possibly even fight him for this toy. It was his for the taking. Rafael ran until he got to the very huge sycamore tree not too far from him. It was a pale white looking color probably due to age, with many different claw markings on its hide. That was probably from some other wolf around here, or from the cougar that Father used to talk about. He didn't quite understand what those things were, but only knew that they could be dangerous to him if he didn't know them like family; sort of like how Toorima was friends with the cougar Ratha. Mother had taught him that a while ago. Speaking of Mommy, he was really starting to become a lot more attached to her then he was to Dad. Carmin was really more so his pup any way. Carmin was more like Dad then he was in all aspects. And Rafael was kind of ok with that. Beginning to get a little bored with his feather, Rafael let it go from his small jaws and then watched it float into the sky above him. After he was done releasing what he considered to be his only friend, he hopped down into the pit or hallow spot in the sycamore tree. He poked his head out from its hole hoping to catch the sight of someone coming on by. Rafael was indeed in need of some friendly buddies to mess with. It was hard being one of the only puppies here in the pack. If only someone would come by and give him something to do.

Rina lie under a great sycamore tree. Many leaves were trickling down on her pelt and face, as well as around her. Golden eyes watched almost lifeless into the undergrowth. Wind rushed along her fur and her black nose was getting dry. She would flit her tongue out every few minutes to moisten it. Everything was peaceful with the young wolfess until a great scuffling thrashed into her ears and a white birds feather floated into the sky. She thought it was only a bird but was proven wrong as a wolf's scent reached her nostrils. Puppy, male, restless. He obviously didn't smell that Rina was already here. She stood up with a grunt and padded over to the other side of the tree. There lay a ginger brown with tan highlights and green eyes, pup. Oh, how cute! Rina thought. After admiring how stupid he was for not noticing her paws scuffling quietly in the leaves, she spoke. "You have a lot to learn young pup."

Rafael didn't hear the other wolf come up from the sycamore tree. He was too busy looking around for something new to play with. His bright green eyes looked around after he let his feathery friend go from his jaws. And that was when he heard a light and sweet voice. But at the same time, she sounded a bit annoyed. "H-Hello...I'm sorry to have bothered you."Rafe said in a smallish, kind of nervous tone. He hadn't really had that much experience with other wolves before, especially older ones like Mother and Father. Morrigan was the last wolf he had met, and that didn't turn out too well for him. "My name is Rafael by the way, I'm the son of Fuego Ramirez and Keiryo Lingua."Well he didn't have to enter in the whole thing when introducing himself. But the young red pup had this idea stuck in his head that if someone knew who his parents were, they wouldn't be mean or mess with him in any way. It was just something that he truly believed in, and for a while now he didn't have any reason to think otherwise. "So who are you? And I have lots to learn? Teach me! Teach me then!"Rafael called to her in kind of a more excited tone. This woman seemed friendly enough, and she was very pretty. She kind of reminded him of Mother, except that the eyes were different and the coat was a tad bit off. Rafael looked down at his own black dipped paws, a trait that he had recieved from his Mother dearest. His trait for being a shy fellow really shining through now more clearly. Fuego would often make him feel a bit awkward about this, often talking about it and telling him that he shouldn't be this way. What was he supposed to do? Going out there and making a show of himself wasn't something that he really prided himself in doing. So he just decided to stay away from that kind of attention. Hopefully this nice lady here would really understand that. Rafael certainly hoped so. The new wolfess seemed ok enough. Perhaps Mother and Father would approve of her? Rafael didn't see any reason why they shouldn't. She seemed ok to him after all.

She listened to the child and she listened close. So he was Fuego, the beta and Keiryo's son. She couldn't resist lying down very slowly to get a closer look at him. He didn't have very thick fur and his eyes were emerald green, oh beautiful emerald green. That was one of her favorite colors. Rina wagged her tail at his words, he wanted her to teach him. "Well young one, I'm not much a teacher, but I'll do what I can. Nevermind that so far. Why are you so far away from your Mother?" She questioned, calm, understanding golden eyes staring into his bright, cheerful green ones. She licked her nose again and twitched her ears, waiting for a reply. She then thought back to what the pup would have to learn. Hunting, stalking, scenting, awareness, fighting, swimming, leadership skills and more. She could teach him everything. Rina then added onto her thoughts that when she did have pups that if she did teach him much, it would help her later. Rina did seem like a teacher. Although she was a playful young woman, she had her wisdom, her strength, her smartness, her hope, faith and love. And she would use these things if the time came that she acted as the teacher that the mother usually was for this pup. Rafael.

OOC: I'm sorry for the crappy post and that you had to wait so long. I just haven't been feeling really good lately. I have a really bad cold and such. Bleh. <_> Again I'm very sorry for the long wait and such. My next post will be better hopefully. ^_^

Rafael thought about her question for only a moment since it really wasn't all that difficult to answer. His bright green eyes looked at the woman with a cheerful expression despite the fact that he was away from Mom and Dad. "I'm away from my Mother only because I want some time for myself. And my sister is too busy with Father to even play around with me. I was looking for company." He told her with clear distaste for his sister momentarily. Rafael did indeed love Carmin. But she could be a pain sometimes. "So what is your name? And what am I going to learn today? Please tell me." Rafael said in kind of a pleading yet soft toned voice for a male pup. He wasn't used to being the one who had to be all macho and such, if that was what you wanted to call it. And so he never really got away from his puppy voice or his puppy habits quite yet. Oh well. Any way, the red mottled pup layed there in the hole of the old sycamore tree, wondering in his head just what this nice woman just might say to him. He surely wished that Mother was around to teach him. But at the same time, he supposed that this wolfess here would just have to do for now. Later though, he would indeed go looking for Mom.

Short cuz I'm tired and already posted on 2 other topics pretty long posts.

Rina hesitated for a while, thinking and then spoke, voice full of pride to be teaching a young pup. "Well I suppose you young ones are learning hunting eh?" She questioned, raising her bum in the air and stretching, showing long, sharp pitch black claws. Rina's eyes wandered back to the pup before her. Yes they should be able to hunt small prey now and Rina could buildup from that, yes teaching him hunting moves to make him better. This would be easy! Only of they both, teacher and student worked together... and if they both put their mind to any task ahead of them.

Rafael watched her as she dug in her nails. The slick blackness of them split the earth into crumbs as she walked along. He kept close to her with great wariness. He didn't dare go to far from his teacher. Even though Mother and Father should have been the ones to teach him this, another female wolf wouldn't be too much of a danger for him. And she seemed to be pretty nice. Rafael really liked this pretty lady, this wolfess called Rina. "Hunting? Ok, I'll try what ever it is that you can show me. Maybe I could show my family this when ever I see them next." Rafael said with a cheery tone to his voice. He was still a young pup, but his mind and vocabulary was ever-growing. He loved to learn new things, and was learning to be a bit more out-going and loving each day. Even though that one other pup just got on his nerves. Morrigan was an odd wolf. She didn't like being around others. She wasn't very friendly at all. But Rina here wasn't at all anything like that. No she was fun and care free. Rafe liked her a lot. Perhaps Daddy and Mom would like her too?

I got bored and decided to reply here, so sorry if her explanation is pretty rushed. Oh, and when she says 'only do that on a rabbit' she means only take chase after a rabbit.

Rina thought, scenting the taste of a rabbit. Its sweet scent making her stomach rumble quietly. Pulling her claws into the ground she spoke. "To hunt small prey, first you should crouch as low as you can without completely crouching, you should still be standing up a bit but still hidden. Then you need to be as quiet as you possibly can, they have big ears. Keep your bum to the ground and tail low as you stalk, then leap and take chase if it tries to run, only do that on a rabbit though." Rina did this all on a rabbit she had spotted, propelling herself forward as she finished and taking chase after the tan tasty morsel. The fem pounced again and this time landing on the prey, snapping its neck quick and easy. The multi-colored wolfess trotted over to her student and set it down near Rafe's paws. "A gift from me." She chortled, lying down. "And once your done with that you can try for yourself. Any questions?"

OOC: Sorry for the long wait. Lots of stuff has been going on. Been kind of busy.

Rafael watched her intently from afar as she took the rabbit's life. It seemed simple enough, but knew well that not everything was as easy as he would have liked it to be. Crouching down low, he stalked after another tawny colored rabbit that was not too far off from where they spotted the first one. He dared not touch his gift from Rina yet. He wanted to prove to her that he could do this too. After a moment of quiet focus, the red mottled pup took off into the brush and into the small part of the forest. His much longer legs guided him faster and closer to his quarry. With one giant leap, he pounced his prey with great ease, snapping its neck and killing it instantly. Knowing well enough that it was dead, he carried it back to his teacher with great pride. Rafael was a perfectionist, and wanted to do things right the first time. Such was the ways of Fuego's son. When he got back to Rina, he dropped the rabbit at her paws. "Did I do well enough for you, Lady Rina?" He asked her with quiet content. His emerald green eyes looked up to her with great pride and satisfaction. As he waited for her reply, he went back to the snack she had killed off for him. He carefully grasped it into his teeth and pulled off the fur, leaving behind the fresh muscles and tendons beneath. The meat tasted so warm and fresh in his mouth that he began to salivate a lot. He ate most of the kill, stashing the rest of it away in a hole he made underneath the great sycamore tree. This would be one of his many hiding places in the pack lands. Later he would come here in case he couldn't hunt for himself. Rafe just hoped that no one else would come here and claim his prize before he had the chance to take it back. Once it was burried quite nicely, he turned back to face Rina with a bright and happy expression on his face. He really liked Rina. She was a good teacher, and someone that he could talk to fairly easily. If only that was the same case for another wolf he knew...
