I dunno if this has been asked before,if it has, then i'm refreshing the old thread. If not, then good!
Yes i cried while watching Taiyou no Uta,when Kaoru's dad cried in the hospital, when Fujishiro Kouji cried when Kaoru told him that she would still sing even though her hands can no longer play the guitar, and when the full Good-bye Days played at the end of the movie when Kouji, that friend of Kaoru's(can't remember her name) and her parents were listening to the song and Kaoru singing her heart out in the recording studio.
I cried while watching the movie.I'm a guy.I'm not ashamed to admit it,though i did bite my lip and tried to stop crying.I know YUI herself cried after watching the movie.
So,how about the rest of you guys?Did you all cry too?

So whenever i think that doing chores is a real drag i tell myself that YUI came up with songs while drying her laundry.

I cried when Goodbye Days started to play, at the very end. It was really unusual for me, since I don't cry at most films. But Taiyou no Uta was just too sad! :please

When we're humming the same song, I wish to be beside you. I'm glad I found that clumsy tenderness

i was just starting out as a YUI fan when i saw the movie
and i gotta say, i ALMOST cried; i mean i wanted to cry just because
idk, it feels kinda good after u cry but my stupid a$$ friend was in the
back trying to have a converstion with me so i really
didn't get into the mood. :(
gotta watch it again...
btw, yeah the kiss scene made my heart sank just because if YUI WAS in a relationship, I'd feel weird; 'sides, i think she can do way better than him :/

Hmm,seems like everyone almost cried but didn't cry in the end,be it friends or family were present or you were holding back the tears.Actually after i watched the movie there was this overwhelming wave of sadness for Kaoru,y'know? Now even watching the PV of Good-bye Days makes my eyes water, because i was reminded of the movie.

Actually, I really didn't. :/ I guess I was expecting a little bit more? But then, I remember I watched this after I watched One Litre of Tears. And after that J-Drama, it's definitely... harder? To cry for something less spectacular? I'm not sure. Anyways, I'm a girl, and I'm easily moved to tears (unfortunately) but I didn't cry.

I didn't cry... I blame my watching the Goodbye days PV.
I already knew what was going to happen... .-.
One Liter of Tears is like an extreme version of Taiyou No Uta... I felt like crying, but I didn't. I was holding back though. It isn't YUI in that movie... Only YUI is worth my tears! :sry

well honestly this is the first movie that made me cry... especially on the scene that Kaoros Father and Kaoros Doctor is talking about kaoros situation by that time. i didnt noticed that my tear suddenly fall... and been shocked when suddenly see Kaoru in her sun flowered coffin...
though there is a sad part in the story, coz kaoro died.. but in overall, that movie make happy... though Kaoro had left her family and Friend... Her greatest gift with her loveones still remains, and thats her music and the love thats within it...

Shiok can mean a lot of things, like 'awesome' 'cool' 'groovy'.
Example - 'That shop is selling a Telecaster e-guitar for 」50 less than everywhere else! Shiok!'
'Shiok man, Terminator Salvation has got A-10 Warthogs!'
No way a tired old man like me could have that kind of reaction to a movie! Think the end was meant to be both sad and happy.... a bit contradictory but really!
