The show opens with the WEW Champion Ted DiBiase coming out to a big pop from the crowd. He is really beaten and slowly gets into the ring. DiBiase grabs a mic and says that at Survivor the cards were staked against his favor, but he still came out of the elimination chamber as the champion. DiBiase says that tonight a number one contender will be determined and at Broken Borders he will take on the competition head on. Kevin Nash's theme plays and Nash comes out onto the stage. Nash says that DiBiase was lucky to enter the match as the last entrant, that is why he is still the WEW Champion. Nash says that right now he is going to kick DiBiase's ass and show he deserves to be the WEW Champion.

Kevin Nash vs. WEW Champion Ted DiBiase
Ted DiBiase wins by disqualification after an individual dressed in black and in a black mask comes through the crowd and attacks the WEW Champion. The masked man then picks up DiBiase and hands him to Nash and Nash delivers the jacknife powerbomb. The masked man leaves the ring and heads back through the crowd.

We get a recap of the masked man. Heyman is backstage and is with Nash and Triple H. Heyman tells both men that he wants to know who this man is. Triple H and Nash look at him and say they have no idea who it is. Heyman says that he better find out by the end of the night or both Nash and Triple H are fired.

#1 Contender Match for US Championship
Gregory Helms vs Christopher Daniels vs. Cody Rhodes vs. Hernandez
The match ends in a no contest when The Miz comes out and takes out the referee during the match. Heyman comes out and announces that at Broken Borders the Miz will defend the United States Championship in a first-ever championship scramble! And the opponents will be every individual standing in that ring right now!

Intercontinental Championship
CM Punk vs. AJ Styles
CM Punk wins by count-out after getting back into the ring just barely in time. Punk grabs a mic and says that they need a final encounter and it will be at Broken Borders with the match being a ladder match!

#1 Contender Match for WEW Championship
John Cena vs. Triple H
Match ends in a no contest when the masked man comes back in through the crowd and attacks John Cena. Triple H goes to tackle the masked indvidual and then Nash comes running out to the ring and both men go to unmask him and it is.....SCOTT HALL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! All of a sudden, all three men are smiling and laughing then hug and taunt in the ring. The WEW Champion then comes running out and tries to stop The Kliq from dismantling John Cena but they still outnumber him. Paul Heyman comes out onto the stage and says that at Broken Borders it will be a 6-man tag team match; with the Kliq taking on John Cena, the WEW Champion Ted DiBiase, and their partner set to be unveiled on the next Raw!
