The pristine waterfall before her seemed to shimmer in the early afternoon sun. The light danced across its surface gaily, but it held back a quality of the water that could easily be forgotten, but one that must always be kept in the back of one’s mind, power. The water was powerful and dangerous. A killing beauty, and before her stood the power and legend of the best. This ground was sacred. Ava bowed her head slightly, in reverence to the Water God’s dwelling and she continued along, she was here for a reason. She had a purpose to travel this far into the depths of her nation’s area, she was seeking someone. Someone that she had never met but on that she was sure existed. One that she had a great connection with, but knew very little about.

The someone was her sibling. When her father had disappeared he had taken up a mistress and had a child by her, Avariella’s sister. Stepping forward slightly, she came more upon a clearing, yet she couldn’t see anyone around her nor could she hear anything in the surrounding foliage. Puzzled she stepped forward more confidently, feeling the pull in her abdomen, she was close to her sister. It was like a simple thread, a connection held with her sister because of their father. The closer she got, the stronger the vibe became, yet she still could not see anyone. No buildings were around, and she furrowed her brow, puzzled and unsure why she felt as if her sister was so close, yet there were no signs of life other than the pulsing waterfall.

As the old Mansion stood there off in the distance of the waterfall, it hides its great size by the fog and mists the falling of the large water created. It was built from stones from the water's edge and its roof was black shingles. The glass of the windows glistened in the suns reflection, once in view of a bystander. Inside the rooms were huge and furnished with extravagant furniture, and up in one of the rooms was where a young girl lived where she had lived since she was 15. The women inside the old mansion who looked after Kaelin.

IT wasn’t that she wasn’t happy there or that she had no reason to be, but she was all alone. All the family she had ever known was gone now. Her father leaving and never coming back and her mother dying when Kaelin was so young. And the priestess that had taken care of her where now gone too. She couldn’t just go and live in the city either. No her powers were trained enough for that yet.

She sat by the edge of the yard weaving a flowered crown together. She had such innocence about her yet … something seemed that at any time she could be just a deadly . What else would she do? What surprises would this day hold for her?

Avariella continued on through the holy ground slowly, when something caught her eye, causing her to stop in her place. She shifted her weight back, allowing her trained eyes to caught the glimmer of a shining light from near the waterfall. ‘Odd,’ she thought as she stepped forward with a purpose, noticing the same spot shine again as it caught the light of the sun on her back.

It warmed her slightly, as she stepped fully into it, striding ahead, looking around for a sign of life, anything that may be able to point her in a direction, even if it was the wrong one, she was desperate.

There, that was it. Ava stopped and could see a rather large house, possibly a mansion, there had to be someone there and if there wasn’t, they perhaps some supplies of some sort, or something that could allow them to buy supplies. Ava grinned and picked her pace up from her stride to a run, dancing through the warm grass, now knowing that there was going to be some sort of good news by the day’s end.

Her fingers stopped twisting the flowers together making her garland. She glanced around her crystal blue eyes taking in everything. There was someone there, but who. She dropped the flowers and quickly stood up, then she ran in her bare feet so as not to make a sound to the edge by the waterfall hiding up in a tree. She blinked a little..who was this stranger .. and how had they gtten in..?

Looking up, as Ava slowed her run to a jog and then to a stride she beamed into the early afternoon sun, swinging her arms gaily as she walked a bit closer. Though the sun was beating harshly on her back, and there were only a few sparse clouds lining the sky, she couldn't help but get an uneasy feeling in her stomach. When she turned around to observe if anyone was following her, she was happy to see that no one was. Yet when she turned back to look at the mansion that had stood beyond the great waterfall of Dax, it had disappeared, vanished behind a wall of fog and mist.

Ava stopped abruptly, and frowned, looking upward towards were the building should have been. Placing her hands on her hips, she furrowed her brow in concentration and contemplated what she should do next.

She blinked quickly watching the women. Whoi was she .... she thought in her mind...She moved quickly behind another tree that was closer to Averiella. She couldn't help but giggle a bit before she disappeared again. She needed to figure out who this women was but first she figured she would play a few games with her first. Sometimes humans were so easy.

She heard a faint giggle, and Ava whirled around in her spot, trying to find where it was coming from. This place seemed to make an echo of everything, and then it stopped. Not in the mood to be tricked with, she continued towards the waterfall, knowing that whatever she was looking for lay beyond it, and she was bound and determined to find it, regardless of whatever was standing in her way.
