It had been a very long journey from the plains of Loff'ta. It was lucky though that he had obtained this horse which had made his travels faster and thus he was only a short distances from his home. The problem with the path he had taken though was it winds through the land avoiding all major cities and actually all the territories of the nations as well leaving you only in the barren lands that the elements had not reached. Rosko's entire journey at lasted longer then he had expected and was running low of food and water and his horse desperatly needed them both as Rosko had to lead it through the lush lands of the water nation. It wasn't long after entering their nation though that the massive ocean took for in the distance stretching completely across the horizon. It was a very imposing sight to one such as Rosko who has only seen the ocean a few times in his life and those times had been during great wars against Niar. As Rosko came closer he could see sails lined up across the seas moving in many directions with some still anchored where they sat. Just in front of all these massive sails stood the city of Moss. He knew that he would not exactly be welcome in this city but the people of this nation were much more use to people from the death nation compaired to Akamu or Loff'ta he figured making this visit a little easier then those he had previously entered but yet he would still be watched closely. It didn't matter though he never planned on being here for very long anyway just getting supplies and continueing his way home. Home, it had been so long since he stepped foot on the dead lands of his home but he would be back soon and didn't expect to be leaving it again anytime soon.

The great wooden gates of the city were left wide open letting any who wish to come in free access to the city as guards watched the walls scanning each person that came through it. Rosko was very surprised that as he came through the gate no one said anything to him but this surprise would soon be lost for just as he stepped onto the other side of the gate he saw a the quick glare of a sword being held out in front of him as an obviously higher ranking soldier used as a way to stop him. Four other soldiers hurried to his side as the five of them led Rosko off the path slightly just behind the wall. The four men hurried pulling his two daggers out of their sheaths and then beginning to look him over for any other kind of weapons. The commander looking soldier eyed over Rosko the whole time they searched him. A few minutes later one of the soldiers walked over to the commander with six daggers in his hands meaning that they had found all his hidden daggers. The commander opened a chest that was sitting right next to him against the wall of a building. Rosko hadn't even noticed that it was sitting there but he had no reason to though. The soldier threw all the daggers in there and then without hesitation the chest was locked close. "You will be given those upon leaving our city but for now they will remain with us." The commander said pausing for a second afterwards. "Now what is the meaning of your visit it our city?"

"My horse and I have had a long journey and we are short on supplies. I have just come to buy some so that I may continue on my way." For the first time the soldiers looked voer to the horse that was standing there. The commander nodded at one of the men who hurried over to the horse and began to lead it off further into the city. He commander said something to him but he was not paying attention at that point but he knew that he was saying the horse would be kept in the stables for the most likely didn't want them moving around the city crowding the streets. With another nod the men who had surrounded Rosko all took a step back getting out of his way showing now that he was free to roam the city. Rosko began looking for a tavern figuring he could get a quick meal at one of those before he set out looking for more supplies. One wasn't hard to find though for the very building that the chest sat against was a tavern after all and Rosko hesitantly made his way in. The second the door opened every person in the tavern glared him with an eye of disgust but Rosko ignored making his way towards a table where he took a quick seat waiting for a waitress to come over which he figured would take a little while seeing as the waitress didn't seem so fond to have to serve one such as him. The eyes that still remained on him slowly moved back to what they were doing one by one turning back to their tables. He hadn't payed much mind to them when they had been looking at him so this really did nothing to change how he felt. A few minutes later a waitress came up to his table and looked at him like the question had already been asked, though it hadn't, and she was now waiting for an answer. There was a hint of fear in her eyes as she scanned where his face should be. "Surprise me," he said suddenly after she had waited a short while for the answer. Her heart seemed to drop with those words as she now had to guess what an Elghinn soldier would like figuring if she got it wrong she would be killed. She quickly made her way off into the kitchen leaving Rosko alone in a room full of life.

Faye's eyes quickly looked out the window of the tavern. Just outside a man all in black armor was being searched by five guards. She was slightly relieved to see this thinking that they were stopping this death nation soldier from entering this peaceful town but she would find herself to be very wrong. They were just disarming him which as the man walked away from the guards made her heart drop. She had always feared the people of the death nation and especially their soldiers. She had been told many times about their ruthless acts of violence and she figured no soldier was clean of such accusations. This man means nothing but trouble she figured within the city and she could only wonder how they would let him in knowing that he could only mean arm to the nation and it's people. Now this was not her nation after all but she was here now and feared for her life knowing that this man could easily just start killing people and the guards would take some time to get to him to stop him leaving plenty dead before they do. Faye figured that she would stay as far away from him as possible figuring he was heading for the ports anyway. She knew that if he was to go on a rampage, which she was convinced he was going to now without any proof, she would be best far away from the killings. As the man could no longer be seen in the windoe she turned back to what she was doing as she had forgotten for a second. In front of her on the table sat three of her cards spread out face down. On the other side of the table sat a slightly older man who was waiting patiently for her to continue with what she was doing. She took her hand palm up in the air and brought it down and across quickly as if she was putting her hand underneath something. A quick gust of wind followed her hand that pulled the three cards a few inches off the ground levitating there. She then quickly flipped her hand over so that her palm was facing down and the three cards followed just as her hand did.

Faye often came to Niar finding it to have alot of people that would be willing to pay to have their fortunes told. Makan was unlike this for most people there didn't beleive in such magic leaving very few that are willing to pay to have their fortune told and with so few meant less money for her to survive on. After going to one of Makan's towns and coming up with almost no money she decided it would be better to make the trip to Niar and so far it has proved to be very profitable with all the sailors who, like this man, have come in wondering about how their voyage would turn out or many other sorts of questions that she was more then happy to answer and thus the profits kept coming in and still are now. She planned to take a room in this tavern for the night with all she made and then she what she can get from another tavern tommorrow. This was pretty much her entire life going from tavern to tavern in search of anyone who is willing to pay for her insight. Eventually she knew she would have to find another way to get by knowing that she could not live like this forever but she was young still and this would work for now at least and the future was blurry for her she knew as her cards were unable to give her a definate answer of herself but someday she would find something.

Faye looked over the cards that lay on the table in front of her. She identified each of the three cards in her head quickly and thought about their meanings and concentrated on the question he had asked as well so that she may put the two of them together. Suddenly the door swung open and Faye didn't feel the need to look thinking that it was just another person hoping that it was someone who would be willing to have their fortune told. She glared at the man who was no longer awaiting her words but staring at something in the taver. She turned quickly in hopes to follow his eyes and instantly her heart dropped as the soldier now sat in the very tavern with her. She wanted to leave now and get far away from this man as she could. She would go to anther tavern on the other side of the city but she could not leave this man's fortune untold and slowly turned her attention back to the cards on the table. "This tells me that the route to Chailyn is very dangerous right now whether it be from great storms or from pirates I am unsure but it would not be worth your risk to go there. The way to Naiya is clear though with perfect seas and the fleet of Niar guarding from pirates. It would also seem that Naiya has floated very close to here now and is only a short distance away. Though your plans for your journey are to go to Chailyn it would be wise to change that and head for Naiya." She said with a quick smile to the man across the table from her who now was obviously weighing his new options in his head. Faye quickly pulled her three cards in with a quick gust of wind placing them in her hand. The man suddenly realized that he had forgotten something and threw a few coins onto the table that never would land upon it for she would grab them as well with a gust of wind pulling them to her. "Thank you sir. Now if you don't mind I must be off." Her voice was soft for she did not want to draw any attention tor her from the soldier. The man only nodded for he was still thinking of what he was going to do. Faye quickly turned around and made her way towards the door trying to avoid eye contact with the man figuring she didn't want to do anything to offend him and set him off.

The silence of the room that had ensued upon his arrival didn't last long for soon again everyone was going about their buisness which was a great relief to Rosko so that he could now just sit there in peace and not have the eyes of the entire tavern upon him though he knew that a few looked over to him often. These people acted like they had never seen anyone from his nation before which figuring most of them being sailors may just be true for the only time they would come across someone of his nation of the waters would be pirates looking for a quick payoff. That may have something to do with their mistrust of him as they all have to be very watchful on the waters of pirates and associate them with the death nation thus they beleive Rosko would have another motive upon this land other then what he has expressed. He didn't plan on being here long ayways so what did it really matter to him if they did not trust him for he hoped to get back on his way as soon as possible for he had been away from his home for far too long already and he missed his lands as much as someone created for life could miss a place filled with such death as his home. He had spent so much of his life there that the death that seemed to linger over the lands had become a force that he strived off of. Just by living and adapting in such a place made one much stronger then they would ever need to be in any of the other nations. This was the exact reason the death nation had the best soldiers for everyone of their citizens knew death all too well all having a great deal of skill with fighting just they could survive to the next day. Remorse became a foreign word for him as he learned from them for if anyone crossed you in any way there you were expected to bring a swift end to them for to show remorse and let even the smallest offense against you slide would ruin your reputation which was something that Rosko had found was hard to rebuild in such a place.

On the other side of the tavern an interesting sight had caught Rosko's eyes. A women who obviously had superb control over the wind and the air giving away quickly that this was not her homeland either. She was no outcast from them though for Makan was never considered in the same sense as Elghinn was. None of the countries were thought of the same way as Elghinn except on special occasions Chath would be noted for it's great destruction but as citizens of both nations would tell you that there was a great difference between death and destruction though if you ask one of another nation they would most likely disagree. The women seemed to be using three cards for something that he couldn't quite understand. He tryed to get a good look at the cards on the table and the obviously weren't any type of playing cards for they had some kind fo weird script upon them that Rosko couldn't even hope to make out what they say but nor could he get a very good look at them. Rosko leaned forward as the women began to speak hoping to catch some of what she is saying so that he may be able to understand what she is doing. He could only make out bits and peices of what she was saying and none of it really made any sense to him until he saw the few coins float across the table. She had been doing him a favor but what was it? He rethought what she had said to him and instantly the thought came to his head. She was some kind of fortune teller he figured. Rosko was never one to really beleive in such things as fortune telling though he had never had one done for him. There was not many of the such that lived in Elghinn for death really had little guide over the future but yet it still defined it but that was not enough for someone to manipulate it to see what lies ahead but there have been a few who have found a way but with their death so quieted their secrets.

The women had quickly turned around and was heading towards the door with a hastened pace. He didn't know what she was rushing for figuring that she most likely had to be somewhere but as he thought of it a little more where would a fortune teller really have to be. He couldn't imagine that she made enough to own a house or have a family so unless she had some other type of job she most likely had nowhere important to be but he could easily be wrong about that. He watched her closely as she came nearer to him as he was sitting pretty close to the door. He did notice one thing though was that her eyes stayed focus on one point and did not move to look anywhere else. She was scared of something he could only assume for she was overcome with some thoughts but her eyes did not wander thus showing something in this room scared her. He could only imagine that he was what scared her for it was not until his entry that she left but anyone really in this tavern could be who she was afraid of. Just as she was passing his table he kicked the chair that was across from him out in her path. "Take a seat," he said harshly staring her the whole time. He could only wonder the thoughts that ran through her head at this moment but was unsure if she would take a seat or not. He figured from her reaction whether she sat or not and the manner in which she carried out her action he would be able to verify if it was him that she was afraid of or someone else. He had tryed to make his voice as powerful and demanding as possible as to strike some spark of fear in her and if there was already just feul the fire of it so that he was able to get a more true reaction from her. He could only sit now and await her responce though.

Her heart droped as the chair came out from under the table in front of her. She heard the voice of the soldier though the actually words he said escaped her she knew what the main idea was. 'Sit or I'll kill you,' was what she knew the man meant by whatever he had said. She did not turn to face the man though only staring at the chair in front of her. If she sat she would be forced into a conversation with this man which would make her have to be even more careful of what she did or said cause she could never be sure what might anger him. He already seemed angered enough and to ignore him would only cause his anger to grow and that was the last thing she wanted. If she said she had somewhere to be would he beleive her? The moment seemed to last forever as the man awaited her response the whole time she did not take a single breath of air. Her entire body slowly went numb as the fear reached every part of her. There was nothing she could do now for she was thrust into the very path of death and danger and any option she took could and most likely would cause some kind of ill ending for herself. Finnally she was able to pull a breath of air into her lungs though she did not notice she had breathed deep as if she had been holding her breath for several minutes which she wasn't sure that she hadn't. As the air entered her body the numbness that had consumed her slowly faded as she tryed to think while taking several more deep breaths, these not being as noticeable as the first. She felt as beads of sweat flowed down her face though she was not hot actually it was a little chilly in the tavern this particular day but that didn't matter at this time though she wanted her mind to drift to such simple thoughts for she did not want to think of what was happening right here and now. She was terrified for what she had feared for a life time had come in a very threatening way. She could not bare to face someone of such a place.

She made up her mind though. There was a great deal of danger she figured in whatever way she chose so she felt it best to get as far away from this man as fast as she could. Thus without even the slightest glance towards the man she reached her left hand out and with a gust of wind pushed the chair back under the table and continued on walking towards the door as if nothing had happened. She knew the man would not so easily be ignored as this so the second she got to the door and was out of veiw she increased her pace. She was surprised the man hadn't come straight after her. Had she misunderstood him? No, he was from the death nation, a soldier none the less and he would not take kindly to such an act of disgrace. It was the best option she tryed to reassure herself for the man couldn't hurt her if he couldn't find her. She glanced over her shoulder as she was finally out of the door and again on the street. She did not think he would be that close behind but she wanted to be sure. He would come soon she could only figure but she really didn't know anything about their nation or their people. She only had heard stories about them and the place in which they live so she was left to assume about how they act and treat people from the stories she had heard. They say that walking down the streets of the city, it isn't uncommom to cross over several dead bodies which none of the people pay any mind to. That just shows a disrespect for the dead Faye figured. For a nation that worshiped the dead one would think they at least had some sort of respect for them. If they do not respect the dead what would make them respect the living which was another reason why Faye was glad she got far from the man for he would certainly show no respect towards her and thus may have some sort of motive behind inviting her to his table. With every thought that crossed her mind she became more sure that her decision to leave the way she did was the right one but in time she would find out how smart of an idea that truly was.

Faye quickly pushed her way through the crowd trying to put as many people between her and the man as possible. She was still quite unsure if he was following her but she didn't dare to look back again to find out. She figured if she could lose him in the crowd for the second he lost visual sight of her she could make her way away from him so that he would never see her again and thus she would be safe once again to find her way into another tavern where she could continue her buisness. Her heart was racing the whole entire time since the man had spoken to her. His voice was so dark. She couldn't get it out of her head and the dark armor that he was shrouded in as if the very darkness of the lan spewed out from him with every instance of his existance. Faye quickly turned down another street still moving through the crowd twisting around them in what would be viewed as a rude manner within this nation but at this point she didn't care. These people could view her as rude as they wanted but she refused to let that soldier catch up to her so this was needed to keep her safe. As she continued on for a little longer a small smile crept across her face for the first time in a short while as the sight of two guards come into view. The soldier would not attack her in front of town guards for there would be no way out for him in such a case if he was even able to kill her at all. It wasn't that she couldn't fight cause she could though she wasn't a very strong fighter, nothing to match a soldier of the dark nation. Her skills were only enough to save her from a few drunks or an attempted mugging which she often came across sleeping in the most run down taverns in the cities ussually. She was pretty sure that he would not dare attack her in front of guards but again she knew nothing of the nation or their soldiers and from what she has heard is they do not fear death and live only for honor thus making it possible that if he viewed what she did as a dishonor towards him she may come after her and attack her without hesitation as to redeem his honor even though it may mean death towards him. The very thought of this made her quicken her pace even faster as she only wondered where the man was behind her figuring that he was surely following her. Maybe walking away wasn't the brightest idea after all for she could have endured a conversation with him but instead she felt it necessary to ignore him which may now be the one thing leading her to her death. She looked down at her side where her cards still sat which may soon get their second use other then fortune telling but as he weapons. It had been about a month since she had to use them in such a way but it seemed like she is being thrust into yet another fight. She would not die here. She wouldn't let herself die here no matter what she had to do to save herself.
