I wrote this like a year ago... and.. it's not very good...

It had been one hundred years since the last victory over the Abyss. The creatures of Hell were slowly becoming desperate. Bel had taken control of the armies for the past seventy-five years and since then everything had gotten slowly better. Then, however, the abyss created a new army; one of creatures never before seen by any in Hell. This gave Bel an idea. Bel, Lord of the First Layer of Hell and General to the Blood Wars gathered his 3 best minions to convert all of them into a brand new species. The best of the best, from the best. He gathered all but about 50 hell hounds, (his personal favorite), all the Yaun-ti that were willing to go, and an entire dudgeon full of diabolic torturers, the Kocrachon.

Bel gathered them all into a large dungeon at the very bottom of Avernus. To ensure that none of them would try to run once he had started the ritual, Bel locked all of them into three cells with hands, feet, pinchers, paws, and tails all chained to a wall. In the middle of the dungeon there was a deep pit, a pit so deep not even the light from the bright red lantern that swung over the pit reached the bottom. Bel knelt on a small rug at the very edge of the pit and opened his wings as wide as they would go, nearly touching the ceiling. He remained there, whispering an incantation for 5 hours. When the spell was done, he stood and stepped back from the rug. Then another Bel stepped off of the rug, then another, then another, until there were 25 of them crowded into the dungeon. The last one picked up the rug and tossed it into the pit. The now multiplied Archedevils stood around the pit and all of them cut off some part of their body, some threw in a hand, some a wing and one threw in his head, then fell into the pit following it. As they stood, watching the pit, it started to glow an eerie yellow color. In turn, all of the Archedevils grew their appendages back. As the light from the pit over-powered the red light from the lantern, the chain holding it up was released and the magic within it filled the pit and changed the light to a neon green.

The bars from the Hellhounds cell were opened and some of the Bels stalked through them, having to bend to go through the door. The first Bel that entered, the original Bel, grabbed the collar that was strapping one of the largest hellhounds to the wall. The hound simply closed his eyes and waited to be let go after this 5 hour wait to become better than he was. He was gravely disappointed. Bel grabbed the collar and then the hounds head, and ripped it off. The tearing sound of its flesh separating from its spine, breaking, made the other hounds insane, franticly trying to escape from the chains that bound them. No matter how strong any of them were they could not break the chains that were strapping paw and neck. All of the Bels, one by one, entered the cell and tore the heads from the defenseless hounds. As they returned to their spots around the pit each one cast a severed head into the depths. They continued to rip and tear and toss into the pit until all of the hounds were nothing more than headless twitching corpses.

Bel and his copies stood around the pit, arms spread wide and still not touching each other. Twenty-five spells and incantations could simultaneously be heard as the pit grew brighter and brighter. As soon as any of the Archedevils were done with their magic he would walk to the second cell, the Kocrachon. Knowing what was going to happen the insect-like devils went berserk. Flailing and gnawing at the chains as the first lord of this hell strided up to an elder one looking as if he actually could bite through the chains with the pinchers on either side of his mouth. Bell grabbed the creature by the neck and turned him slowly around. With his other hand he squeezed its wings at their base and shattered the connection to the ugly beast. The kocrachon screamed a horrible squealing noise that would make anything but the devils’ ears bleed. As he took his place among his clones he tossed the wings in as if he were simply throwing them away. Noise from the Kocrachon filled the ears of everything within a radius of about 100 yards outside the walls of the dungeon.

As the last Kocrachon was de-winged Bel turned and walked to the cell with the Yaun-ti, most of them were bleeding from the Kocrachon’s sonic screaming. They were terrified desperately trying to bite the chains to free themselves. Several had already broken their teeth and jaws from the effort. One thought of biting off his own appendages to free himself then bled to death as he split an artery. Bel grabbed the first Yaun-ti, a small female. “Pleassse,” she hissed urgently, “You never sssaid we would be ssslaughtered.”

Bel simply laughed and leaned closer to her head to whisper in her ear, “I like surprises.” He stood back to his full height and smiled as he unshackled her tail. Gripping it tightly in his right hand, with his left he grabbed her arms that were manacled together and tore them from her body, she instantly passed out from the pain and was limp while he twisted her head off of her scaly torso. At this the rest of the Yaun-ti in the cell started screaming insults and profanities at Bel in their native tongue. Five of the Snake abominations near the back of the cell actually thought that they could send spells to hurt Bel. His deep chuckle filled the dungeon as he witnessed their attempt to smite an Archedevil. By merely holding up his hand the lightening, acid, and magic missiles went flying back to the Yaun-ti that sent them, each one powerful enough to kill all five of the spell casters. Slowly the remaining creatures were quietly accepting the fate that was about to claim them.

Once every Yaun-ti had been torn from the walls and flung into the pit with arms and heads still in the cell some actually hanging by just the wrists. The Bels gathered around the pit once more and started chanting the same incantation this time, it was a rather short one however if Bel hadn’t made the copies he would have had to stayed there for a bout of 7 days doing nothing but chanting. The twenty-five Bels however were done in about an hour.

The light within the pit grew dimmer and dimmer as the creatures formed together from the body parts and the potion that had once filled the lantern with its red light. As soon as the dungeon was completely black the Devil stop its chanting. He slowly walked to one of the walls and lit a torch, as it lit all the other torches sprang to life burning as bright as if they had been burning for hours. When Bel’s eyes adjusted to the now lighted dungeon he was alone. As the spell succeeded the other Bel’s had vanished.

Bel, glowing with pride stood next to the pit and could hear his creations slithering around at the bottom. He slowly raised the pit floor. As it got closer to the surface Bel’s smile slowly faded. He’s a devil and these things were the ugliest things that he had ever laid eyes on. Like he planned they had the body of the Yaun-ti, except it was covered in scales, and from in between the scales there was thick black hairs popping out. They had the head of a hellhound, also planned, also with a major exception, it had the horrid hairy scales also the wings that were suppose to enable the new creatures to fly were in the place of the ears. In the pit there were hundreds of things that should never had existed and Bel wished that he had never thought to combine his favorites into one.

Bel decided that he should stop raising the pit and never tell anyone that he had ever tried to create something. While trying to think of what he was going to do with these things he remembered that he had heard that something had created a new realm. This would be perfect, if it’s just been created, then if I dump these there the creature and anyone that goes there will think that they were the creatures fault, instead of mine. Bel once again started smiling.

As Bel returned to the dungeon about an hour later with the books he needed to transport something to another realm, he could still hear the disgraces slithering and barking in the depths. He read the book aloud and a dimension door opened in front of Bel. So that he wouldn’t have to see the ugly things again he flatted the door and stretched it over the pit, then raised it, shoving the furry, scaly, partially winged creatures into the realm far, far away from Bel. He sighed in relief as he closed the dimension door and walked back to his throne towards the top of Avernus.

The top of a plateau near the sea, glowed a shimmering purple for a second and when the light cleared there was a huge pack of dogs, some snakes and a small group of winged snakes that immediately flew off toward the forest on the opposite side of the plateau. The dogs sat confused and scared. While the snakes slithered down the side of the plateau and scattered in all directions.
