Episode 8: "ookami Jubaku"

[Krrurr]

((OOC: I'm pushing the rp ahead to the next mission to try and get it up to full steam again and make it exciting.))

:: Caitian Restaurant, Deck 12::
:: Day 1, 1600hrs::

Four days had pasted since they got their assignment and the ship was buzzing with crew running back and forth between departments preparing for the away mission after the ship dropped out of warp outside of the system where the weapon was located. Though the air on the ship was uneasy most if not all the crew didn’t trust Section 31 and Krrurr knew it but what was he suppose to do they were there now and there was no turning back. He tried to put it in the back of his mind and have a nice quiet afternoon with his mate Rruul in the Caitian mess before they got in deep.

“What’s wrong my mate?” Rruul asked in a worried tone as she saw Krrurr blankly stare out the window. She gentle put her pawed hand on his shoulder and called him by his birth name; a name that she and his parents knew of, “Kirruak…?”

Krrurr tufted ears laid flat as he looked up at her, “Huh?” He seemed to be in a daze and light years away from where they were. He shook his head, before smiling softly at her, “What is it love?”

She let out a soft chuckle and purred softly, “I asked you first my mate.”

“It’s just,” Krrurr murmured softly, “I told Ravage about the traitor Anxin and now I’m afraid she might try and dig up information about him and what he had done to embarrass the Clan….” He knew that if other Caits on the ship found out that the traitor named Anxin was his twin brother it could put suspicion on to him and Rruul.

“You worry too much my Kirruak that is in the past.” She said reassuringly as she whispered, “What is done, is done and plus you know that trait has been dealt with, you dealt with him yourself. And you know Ravage she wouldn’t tell anyone”

He nodded and sighed knowing that she was indeed was right about everything, the trait was dealt with and exiled from Cait, and Ravage was a good trusted friend. They continued to talk about various things mostly surrounding their cubs. Both wanted more cubs but they both knew that it wasn’t the best time with the upcoming possible war with the Romulans. Their second litter of cubs only a year old are more rambunctious then their first litter, so both Krrurr and Rruul had their hands full.

:: Deck 3, Corridor::

Seh walked through the corridor with Rarabora at a fast pace as they headed toward Ravage Quarter with a PADD in hand. He tapped his combadge with his clawed hand, “Seh to Kestra, Raiu, Arimus ,and Mike Can you please meet me in the Marine Briefing room? I’m going to deliver the final mission outline to Ravage and we should be there shortly for the mission walkthrough.” They reached the outside of the Colonel and pressed the chime hoping that Ravage was awake from her ordered rest by the Captain.

“Geeze look at you Mr. In charge,” Rarabora grinned showing her Draconian teeth. “Is this what gets you to take charge a mission like this my Scaly friend?” She loved to joke with him because other than her he was the only Lizard like humanoid on board the ship and she was oddly attracted to him even though he wasn’t her species.

Seh smiled slightly back at her, “Well I do have to help out my fellow marines when they are ordered to rest.” He continued to smile but spoke it a serious tone, “I do enjoy when you joke with me but please just do it when we are alone my friend.”

:: Ravage's Quarters, Deck 3::
:: Day 1, 1600hrs::

Ravage had more than enough sleep over the last few days, ever since the Captain ordered her to get some rest. Yet that didn't stop her from falling asleep on her arms behind her desk in her quarters. She was so fast asleep that she didn't even notice the chime, all she did was flick her ear.

She had spend most of the morning trying to dig up a few medical records about Krrurr and the Anxin the captain told her about. The respect she had for Krrurr held her back from digging further, if he wanted her to know more he would have told her. All she was doing was make sure she knew every single physical difference between the two, being twins had her rather rattled. Exact look a likes were rare among Caits and she wasn't comfortable with the fact that the twin was a traitor. What he did, she didn't know, Krrurr didn't go into such detail.

It was while staring at the medical records, that she fell asleep. And was oblivious as to what went on outside her door. The door was unlocked for that matter, she found it useless to lock it during the day because there were always someone that came to check that she was resting.

[Raiu Kasumi]

:: Day 1, 1600hrs::

Raiu was leaning over the shoulder of one of the operation officers, making sure that everything was in order. The entire morning was hectic for them. Not only was most of them on their nerves for working under section 31's orders for the mission but also not sure if the Romulans were lurking about. They have been pushing the sensors to the max to make sure they could pick up on any trace of them or rather they hoped.

"Adjust the port sensors a bit and run the test again." Raiu said with a bit of a sigh. Her nerves were also bugging her and for the most part she had a bad feeling about this mission.

Seh walked through the corridor with Rarabora at a fast pace as they headed toward Ravage Quarter with a PADD in hand. Raiu sighed softly before tabbing her com badge, "I'm on my way." She said shortly and turned back to the officer next to her. "Keep an eye out for anything strange." With that she turned and walked off towards the Marine Briefing room.

:: Day 1, 1600hrs::

Mike hadnt had long to settel in, infact he had to jump right into the mess. He had to work twice as hard to double check every thing that GORN traitor had touched, and he had to devote all power to the sensors. He felt like he was trying to keep an old warp five ship togehter with duck tape and bailing wire at this point, and he had just come aboard.

~Good going~ he thought to him self, ~what else could possibly go wrong?~

No sooner did he let the thought slip through his mind did his combdage rign out.

~GREAT, I dont even get to fix what the lizard broke~ Mike thought as he tapped his combadge.

"Aye sir, Im on my way."

He quickly rushed out of engineering, barking some orders as he did, and made his way to the turbo lift. He ordered the lift to the Marine Bireifing room and quickly made his way there.

Having programed the holodeck to simulate one of her last trips as a smuggler, She was working through the 'escape' from the local authorities when she heard the comm call for her. Tapping her comm, she replies.. /:\ There in five, Kestra out/:\

Turning off the simulation, she heads out the door and off to Marine briefing room. Dressed in a simple jumper and boots, her hair was pulled up in a ponytail, bouncing slightly with each step as she wipes the sweat from her forehead with the back of her hand.

Upon entering the briefing room, she finds a chair and lowers to sit hoping to cool down soon.

Arimus had run as fast as he could down the corridor toward the briefing room after finishing up in Ops. He ran past a terran that was walking toward a small mess and was stopped by them because they thought he looked like his brother Krrurr. After explaining to them who he was he made his way inside the briefing room and waited for the others to arrive.

Rarabora and Seh walked into Ravage's quarters and paused next to the Colonels desk; seeing that the colonel had fallen asleep at her desk. He coughed abruptly to wake her up, "Colonel if I could bend your ear for a moment." He looked back to Rarabora and sighed as then waited for Ravage to wake up, before turning back "Colonel I need to show you the final outline for the mission, its important...."

Ravage turned her ear sideways at the sound of Seh's cough and opened one eye to peer at him. If she wasn't still tired or in a deeper sleep she would probably have jumped through the roof at the sound of the cough next to her. With a deep sigh, she lifted her head off her arms to look Seh more directly in the eyes. "You have my attention captain, so please continue." She was in no particular mood to hear anything about the mission, her mind was still scattered between hearing about Krrurr's twin and the fact that section 31 was behind this mission.
