Disasters and Battles|
| Current Season: Spring Breeding: Yes Foals born: None The days are warm and breezy on the coast, with cool, restful nights. Sunny with a few clouds, and there are very few, if any, rains or storms. Farther inland, the days are cooler, with the nights becoming almost chilly. Spring rains come every few days and last for a day or so before moving on, giving the ground a good soaking. Trees are beginning to bud out and there are new, tender shoots of grass on the rise in many of the territories.

Barren Plains The terrain here is dry and unwelcoming. A lonely traveller might skirt around the centre of the plains, lest they begin to hallucinate and seek mirages that do not exist. Or do they? |

Aphrodisiac Hills Grassy, rolling hills that bring sweat to the hide of anyone who attempts to climb to the top in one go. Willow trees and granite rocks scar the sides of the hills, providing a number of hiding places for stallions to leap upon unsuspecting mares. Beware, the threat of forcebreeding and capture runs rampant over these hills. |

Equidae Ravine One of the first places where Equines were recorded to have lived. With high walls and easy escape routes, it provides the most simplistic terrain for a horse to live. Many newcomers to the island make this their first port of call, and often remain until they have made a new friend to explore with. The grasses here are satisfying, and there is enough for a whole herd to survive on, if they had to. |

Clearwater River A sweet, sapphire coloured river wends its way around the far side of the Barren Plains, and around the bases of the hills. Many creatures make their homes around the Clearwater River, and it seems to refresh even the deepest thirst. |

Moon Lake A seemingly magical lake that reflects only the full moon, at the stroke of midnight. Horses tend to visit this lake in times of hardship and worry, however travellers might find reassurance, and guidance from unknown spirits that lurk among the shadowy trees. |

Firetail Cove A reclusive and peaceful place for pensive horses to spend some time away from their herd. Concerned mothers, troubled fathers, and confused young might find their woes ebbing away in the serenity of this place. Calm water laps at the shore of the cove, and a luscious, tasty grass grows all over the flats. |

Maian Jungle A jungle filled with different trees. Much wildlife is found here. Sometimes the horse can be the prey of a tiger, who knows. The ground is a soft sand, and seagrass grows there. It's not the best grass as turtles prefer it, but it's one of the only edible grasses for a horse there. The ocean surrounds the edges of the jungle as it's the end of the island. |

Remonia Forest A forest which is filled with many singing birds and deer, without the stress of predators. The ground is solid dirt, making it a little uncomfortable for horses to lay down. An excellent meeting place; a small lake is located in the middle of the forest, surrounded by luxurious grasses and wild flowers. |

Tuskan Meadows A meadow filled with thick, albeit slightly dry grass - the perfect bed for a soon-to-be mother - with a liberal coating of flowers breaking the monotonous green. Trees are scattered through out the meadow, as well as some large boulders, which help for a good game of hide and seek. Many families come here for a recreational day out, enjoying the freedom and chance to connect with nature, and families. |

Twilight Strait The narrow connecting land between two luscious fields of healthy, rampant grass. Lined on either side by a swamp (with stench most foul), the Strait makes for a secretive place where a couple can walked side by side, if careful. With nose, mouth, and eyes closed, the swamp could be entered without fear. |

Devil Canyon A canyon which has a base of sand. Few battles have taken place here, yet many bones and skulls are seen, half buried into the sand. The scorchingly hot summer sand burns the hooves of the unwary, and is the terra of pure evil horses alone. Vegetation is scarce, and dry, barely providing enough nutrition for survival. A small, stagnant stream crosses the canyon, covered in a thin layer of dried scum; bitter and diseased. |

Bloodstained Meadows A meadow which appears to be red, as the grass is dusted with the reddish dirt which lays on the ground. Not much vegetation is found here due to the lack of sun and rain. A river rushes through. Though it's satisfying, dirt picks itself up from the current and never seems to settle, giving the river a bloody look. |

Skull Lake A large lake which is said to have the skulls of dead horses beneath it. Rarely is one granted the chance to see these skulls, as the lake could easily take ones' life before the muddy floor was reached. A low tide might show ivory glints through the water, hinting at stories untold. Vegetation is scarce, but present, coupled with large, irregular boulders. |

Echoing Hills Hills raw with the echoing of wounds and deaths of old. Shrill shrieks and whinnies greet the scorching sun, and farewell it to the land of the damned. Bestowed with the best grasses of the Margra lands, the hills boast tasteless, stalky grass, satisfying to the stomach, but not the tongue. Vultures can be seen crumpled haphazardly on bare branches, hunch-backed and watching. A small river runs through, with somewhat clean water. |

Twin Lake The largest lake in Margra, thus named by the phenomenon of double reflections. Upon glancing into the depths of the damned, your own face will greet you, and that of a deceased warrior of the Margra herd. The reflections are often an indicator of the prowess of the individual, a source of great personal pride or loathing. Despite the ancient reflections, the water is safe to drink, and spawns tasty grass around its' edges. |

Demonic Plains This wide, flat, barren land is on the verge of infertile, with only the stalky remains of dried shrubs breaking the dry, dust laden breeze. With no water to speak of, the stalky remains of life are not fit to eat, only marginally more nutritious than the scattered bones of horses and creatures also once isolated and lost in the Demonic Plains. |

Cactus Creek A creek surrounded by prickly cacti does not seem like paradise but this is the most fertile terra in these lands. The creek is hard to reach and many have been speared trying to get to the water. Only the bravest, stubbornest souls make it through. |

Vulture Peak Vulture Peak is a tall mountain where vultures rule supreme. Those who die here do not receive a proper burial, instead, they are ripped to pieces and help satisfy the endless hunger of the vultures. Scavengers only, as long as one is alive, there is nothing to fear from the hundreds of silent vultures looming ominously over the peak. |

Moonlit Forest Oddly named, the dense vegetation allows no light to reach the lower levels of the canopy, casting the sodden earth into constant, surreal darkness. Dappled light may be seen only in the brightest part of the day, at noon, enabling movement as fast as a slow, careful canter. Movement at other times is hindered by the dark, and jutting roots of seemingly moving trees. The glowing orbs of owls eyes seem to follow your every move, challenging the depth of your reasoning. |

Shifting Sands Eventually, the forest soil becomes sandy and thin, and the trees become fewer and farther between. The heat increases drastically, until finally nothing remains but scorching sun and huge reddish gold sand dunes that seem to reach toward the sky forever. What is on the other side of the Sands, no one knows, for no horse has ever survived any journey through the merciless desert. This place earns its name from the relentless wind that is constantly blowing the sand about, making the dunes seem to move all on their own. |

Island of Gramere A part of the island stretching out into the Celestial territory, coated liberally in different grasses and wildflowers. The vegetation is lush, and healthy, sporting near-constant fresh bud all year. A small stream runs through the area, clean, fresh from the mountains, and a perfect size to jump over. |

Talon Valley An extended valley, with treacherous edges for the unwary, or very young. Although they are not steep, a misplaced hoof could incur a small rock slide - a long drop and a short stop. This is often the area where races are held, between friends, allies, or enemies. The ground is solid dirt but there are many patches of green healthy grass. A small stream runs through the center of the valley, slightly gritty, but satisfying. |

Battlefield Grounds This area is mainly a long field, quite flat with a few boulders here and there. Many battles had taken place here, some battles won and some lost. Meetings are often held here, in honour for the ones who had risked their souls for the present. The ground is dirt, and sometimes a little muddy. Vegetation is scarce. |

Poppy Hill A meadow filled with the most beautiful poppies; an enchanting spot for an expecting mare. The grass is soft and comfortable, for even the most awkward of pregnant mothers, and there is a serene feeling of peace. The sounds of the rushing river nearby accentuate the serenity, often merged with the sounds of playful banter as young and old alike splash through. |

Tetra Fields A field filled with many flowers, varing from many different shades of pink, purple, yellow, and orange; few red flowers are seen. There is a large lake in the center of the field, which is suitable for any to swim in. Often the temperature is warm, but colder on cold days. Lots of vegetation is found here, as well as some wildlife. |

Dreamy Lake A lake which appears like a dream; torn between it's wild aspect and peaceful demeanour. The lake makes a charming meeting place, as the quiet and calm can be enjoyed, yet louder discussions do not seem out of place. The water is chilled, but refreshing, revitalising the mind and body. Luxurious tender grass surrounds the lake, a perpetual source of unbridled delight. |

Long Island As its name suggests, Long Island is a lengthy part of the terrain, the perfect length for a midnight stroll, or fiery race between young foes. The grass is long, and thick, but can be a little salty to those not used to its ocean tang. The ocean meets this terra on one side, encouraging fun and play on the most gloomy of days. Crabs sometime crawl onto the beach, so watch your muzzle and tail! |

Romanci Meadows A magical, romantic meadow where sweethearts are often found. Although the grass is not as thick and sweet here as other places, it is satisfying, and the scenery more than makes up for it. The night sky is enchanting, twinkling stars looking down merrily upon the canoodling sweethearts. A lake is situated in the middle of the meadow, full of clear, sparkling, pure water. |

Happy Hills A happy place for the whole family, these hills are simply brimming with luscious green grass, apples, shade, and perfect hide-and-seek boulders. A river boasting the purest water in the area meandles gently around the base of the hills. The perfect place for family or herd games and fun. |

Teke Cliff A tall cliff which stands about 300 meters above the ground, treacherous footing for the unaccustomed. At the very top of the cliffs there is a flat area, large enough to hold 10 horses comfortably, without fear of tipping over the edge. Although vegetation is plentiful here, free-flowing water is not. |
