Coria emerged from the weyr, adorned in full riding gear and grinning with an air of unrepentant glee, as if she'd just gotten away with something... When in fact she was just about to get started.

Hasleth... She stopped mid-stride however, running a hand over her face at her own forgetfulness.

I tried to tell you this was a bad idea. I cannot leave my clutch, and E'van will not like it. Her dragon's voice didn't sound too much like it was scolding, but Coria frowned none the less.

Hasleth, could you send Fowa here? Coria aske silently, her mental voice dripping with sweetness. She could feel the dislike for that idea coming through their bond. It was so much the blatant ignoring of rules, or the manipulation of the young rider's nature that annoyed Hasleth... It was that her rider would be on a green. But she called Peganth reguardless, willing to let her Rider deal with the consequences of her actions when E'van inevitably found out.

Fowa was sliding to the ground before Peganth had even come to a full stop. She skidded, her boots squelching a bit, and waved to the Weyrwoman, quickly crossing the distance between them.

"Hasleth said you wanted to see us?" she asked, a trifle breathlessly. She quickly took in the Weyrwoman's attire and bit her lip, but said nothing.

Coria smiled, for once happy to see green rider. The girl was different enough from Coria's own mother that she could fogive her status as a green. "Yes, I was wondering. Do you have any duties to do this afternoon...?" She only paused a bit to give an explanation. They were in a bit of a rush if she wanted get back before E'van. "I was hoping to go on search, but with Hasleth in her condition..."

Fowa blinked at the Weyrwoman's statement. She would never refuse Coria...but she knew quite well what the rest of the Weyr would think of her taking the Weyrwoman off on Search. E'van would look at her, she knew too. That was worse than any discipline she'd ever had from Rysse or even K'owan's tongue-lashings. The disappointed look of his was just...awful.

"Um...well, no. Other than my normal chores, but I'm done my chores. I was going to see if Rysse had anything else for me to do," Fowa said honestly. "But, um. She stepped closer to Coria and whispered, "We're not really supposed to do that, are we?"

Coria gave the girl a quick look. She had asked for Fowa not merely because she was most likely to agree to the escapade, but E'van was likely not going to blame her if he found out. Of course she didn't intend on letting him find out, but... that could be worried about later.

"Technically no, but I was hoping to meet some of the holders. And this will be Hasleth's first cluth..." There was a rumbling laugh from the back of her mind and she sent a half-hearted scold back to her Dragon.

"Oh," Fowa nodded. "Well, that sounds...different..."

Wasn't E'van always saying how important it was for the Weyr to have good relations with the holders? Why else did he always go out of his way to be so nice to them, even the ones he knew didn't like or trust Dragonriders

-It sounds fishy- said Peganth with a sigh.

-C'mon, Peganth...what am I supposed to say?- Fowa pleaded.

-No?-

-To the Weyrwoman?- Fowa asked in surprise.

-Coria is being difficult- pronounced Peganth.

-Well, at least we'll be there to keep her out of trouble,- offered Fowa as she led Coria back toward the green.

-This is not a good idea- grumbled Peganth, but resigned herself ot her rider's wishes.

-Would you say no to Hasleth?- Fowa asked pointedly.

-Haselth is queen- replied Peganth. And she will not like her rider on my back.

Coria followed after Fowa onto Peganth's back, reassuring Hasleth that everything would be alright.

A green...

I know, but you can't take me.

E'van will be angry

E'van won't find out.

I will bet you an hours worth of eye-scratching he will.

Not if you don't tell him. Which you ever want your eyeridges scratched again you won't.

Fowa patted Peganth's neck affectionately as the green took off, and she turned inquiringly to the Weyrwoman. "Where to?" she asked.

-If Hasleth is jealous it's only because you're quicker...and you can flame- she added with a touch of mischief. As far as she was concerned, there was no better dragon in all of Kresh than her Peganth, the great golds included.

"Wren Hold." Coria said with conviction, keeping down any nervousness or anticipation that dred to creep up on her. She couldn't go to the main hold and face that menace of a Lady Holder, who no doubt would eventually mention it to E'van, nor Revir where the weryleader himself was on search. That left one place, where if she remembered correctly...

Fowa nodded and bit her lip in concentration. She closed her eyes, carefully picturing their destination for Peganth. She wanted no accidents, or even the possibility of an accident, or even the chance of emerging the slightest bit off the well-known coordinates. Not with Coria along--not with anyone really--but especially the Weyrwoman.

Then she took a breath, her eyes squeezing shut tight now as the powerful cold of between enveloped them.

The three emerged above the bowl, Kaith gliding in smoothly and backwinging as his wings pumped dust into the air. Coria slid off first, once more smiling brightly at Kaith before turning to Rhea. "You alright?" She asked, knowing many were often very shaken their first trip between. Hers had been better than most, as she'd ridden with someone she knew well.

-Oh, Kaith...?- E'van called, his tone bordering on exasperation.

Calmly ignoring his rider, Kaith waited for Rhea to dismount and turned toward Coria. Tilting his head in aknowledgement of her smile, he said a trifle plaintively to Hasleth, -I don't think E'van will be giving many eye scratches after this...

Kaith tilted his head at Coria, and sure enough the reason wasn't far behind. Hasleth's amused tone informed: -He wishes you to take pity upon him as he will soon face the wrath of his rider and may not recieve any eye-scratching for some time...- Coria smiled and nodded, reaching up a hand to the bronze's head. She didn't have a harper's nimble fingers, but she could do her best.

Kaith rumbled contentedly, his inner lid sliding closed under Coria's ministrations. -There was a moment he feared for her- he remarked idly to Hasleth, wondering if their riders would ever make sense to him.
