The Lost Glade News

Thanks for sticking with us through that time. Clan Venerable has now been banned and blacklisted from The Lost Glade. The official reasoning behind their banishment is as follows:
- multiple accounts (17 under the same IP)
- sending threatening emails and PMs to the staff
- trolling
- openly discussing hacking
- (according to them) advertising us as a forum for hackers

Due to their use of multiple accounts, we felt it was necessary to ban their IP address. If anyone in the future claims to be a member of Clan Venerable, you are encouraged to PM the staff about it, and not respond to their trolling.

If you wish to ban their IP from your own forums, PM me and I will share it with you. As is, we will be going through the next few days removing everything from Clan Venerable or our members that was trolling, flaming, or otherwise not very beneficial to the forum as a whole.

Among those who were banned from the same IP were:

- Lord Vincent

- Dr Christopher

Now that's really interesting. Some of these accounts were received quite well by the general community. I guess that's the problem with the Internet these days; you can be anyone.

Here I was thinking the Doc was a pretty alright guy, too. Well, at least it's over now.

I can only think of one thing to say........

At last we are rid of them/him/her/IT!

Though i logged in today and i can see Dr christopher on and his name is red...what does that mean? Does that mean he is banned and cannot post?

It was a dark time for loren and now that winter is starting to pass we can start bringing in the new life of the new saplings of our glade. Let the trees grow in abundance! (man i sound like a hippy).

I too thought the doc was a ok guy. Total defense too was a good chap. Though if under teh same IP probably just (whoever) making it look like they are all different people.

EDIT: SDETT beat me to it. I've got the same question as him in mind. On Total_Defence, I do recall a demeaning remark regarding TLG over at WarVault, but it may have been deleted.

The red name means they got banned. They can see the forums and topics, but not post or reply. If you guys want to change the banned settings so they can't see a thing, just let us know.

Think that there is a high chance it was all the same guy/girl so banning the IP adress is the only good thing to do. If the were all seperate individuals, I think that if they log on some of them deserve a second chance.

Btw, the name is red because below it is says "group: banned"

But overall good riddance. Some of them we're really not alright.

Some of them were decent people, and it's unfortunate they had to go too, but it was for the 'greater good'...

What do people seriously expect if they come into a website and openly declare they want to destroy it????

Never noticed Nag was part of Warvault

I didn't know for quite a while; he's not as prominent as Angron is (on warvault anyway). It's great that the warhammer community as a whole can and does stick up for each other when there are people around just trying to cause trouble.

Is it possible to stop them reading topics? Are you able to ban the IP or just the members? If the latter, they could just look at things from a non-member perspective.

If it is possible, it may well be worth stopping them from viewing things. It will stop them from getting any more ammunition and using to hurt not only us but other sites (such as warvault).
