Welcome Back to The Lost Glade!

Well the new year has started and with it a rejuvenation of the kindred cup. All kindreds have been reset so if your not in one tell an admin what you want. The competitions will be happening each month starting with the Vaul's Anvil Challenge which will continue all year in order to motivate players to paint their miniatures so be sure to pop on into Vauls anvil for that!

A few other changes will be made very soon so if anybody is having any problems with anything tell an admin and we will get it sorted.

In the back of the new rulebook there is a stat list for Chaos Dwarfs, does anyone know if or when they'll be released?

If you heard ANY rumour please post it.

Think the concept is interesting

It was for a time thought they may have been removed from the game entirely, like the Warhammer 40,000 Squats: however, recent announcements confirm that a new army will be released within the next two years.

Seems as if they'll get a new army

Woah, this is going to be interesting. Chaos Dwarf players have been waiting longer than Wood Elves for their models.

there are a few people on warseer (go there for all rumours) that say at the summer Games Day events Gav Thorpe said that Chaos Dwarves were "getting more focus than before" but the design team is having a hard time getting a concept for them, and the earliest release would be 2008
so, they're working on it, but their definitly not going to rush it

Cool, in just one word, Cool.

If I've completed my Woodies I think I'll buy some of those Chaos Dwarfs.

Only I can't seem to find the right article, is it on the US or on the UK site?

Here's the current chaos dwarf list:

Chaos Dwarves

It would be good; I think the models for them that were used for the hellcannon (or whatever it was called) looked really good, and it would be interesting to see them come back.

It's cool that they will get a new book, I however love the old models and I hope they don't get rid of them.

their not getting a new book for a while, most likely be another two years.

btw, dont trust any of the stats in the back of the rulebook, they were put there so newer players could play the game right away without buying the armie books and worry about learnign army specific rules, and as such they have been altered.

So I've read the chaos Dwarves list and I must say I'm impressed. It Doesn't seem to me that the developing should have any problems coming up with a new list and some fluff.
Especially the Magic item list makes you go WOW

After reading the article Servant of Isha gave us it seems that the Chaos Dwarves are the exact opposite of Wood elves. Like the magic item that if you give one wound to a flammable opponent he is slayed instantly. Also they can only not use Lore of life and beasts.

I'll have to keep painting if I want to buy them in a few years.

I'm a Chaos Dwarf player, and I can say that they're a really fun army to play. We've been waiting a long time for an army list, but we haven't given up hopes. We've been getting mentions in other army books, as well as the 7th edition rulebook. I don't need to point out the hellcannon, and it's also rumoured that we're getting a new hero model for the summer's campaign.

And now, as a shameless plug in my first post, I'm going to advertise my Chaos Dwarf forum (link in signature).

Oh wow cool that their are mentions in the other rulebooks. Only thing I don't like are the Bull Centaurs, they seem a tad out of place, it would be cool if they're replaced by some Chaos Trolls.
That would complement the army I feel.

I can say that I whole-heartedly disagree with that. Bull centaurs are the favoured children of Hashut! Who needs some wussy chaos trolls when you can have m8 s6 a2 for 21 points?

Oke that is impressive. Maybe I got turned off by the old models I've seen.

Guess we'll just have to wait and see.

Oh great not more over powered chaos armies... can't wait (sarcasm). I guess 3 W and WS5? with along with T9? Also a 3+ ward? Core? Sorry i don't like chaos much...not the players just the army.

I am interested in the army though i mean dwarfs are hard enough put the chaos in their too and ouch what an army! blink.gif

Can't wait to play them myself. Do you think they will get offensive magic? Wizards and the such?
