The Lost Glade News

Hey, I propose that we have a house rules forum, what do you guys think? This would cover things such as:

* Custom special characters ideas
* Custom units ideas
* Ideas for new units that could be implemented
* Any custom house rules. If you use a rule you or your friends made up, and think that people might be worth sharing with people, post it in this forum.

I think that covers all things, post if you can think of anything else. When posting in the house rules forum, you would post the name of the custom character/unit/rule, followed by the stats of the model, or an outline of the house rule. People would then discuss your character/unit/rule, and maybe test it out in thier own matches.

Feel free to discuss whether you like this suggestion or not.

maybe could be an offshoot of beyond the forest? or maybe the war room?

I'd say beyond the forest cause the "house rules" may not be just for wood elves, people might make rules for different army's so beyond the forest is probably better then the war room

I'm ALL for it!!! I love making custom characters and when a stiuation occurs where me and a friend cannot decide on a rule (loophole something not quite explained etc) then i'm the one that makes the 'common sense' suggestion.

I would love this forum to be put into practice!

It really isn't a bad idea. This can certainly gain more discussion in the admin/mod forum.

when marcus brought it up orginally i was all for it. we just need a dedicated mod to run the forum

sounds like fun to me.

I'd prefer it to have its own forum, instead of just being a sub forum. It's easier for new members to find that way.

And I would be happy to run this forum as a dedicated moderator.

It sounds like a good idea. I'd probably reply to topics there.

Compared to some other forums, we probably don't have that many forums. I don't think it would clutter us too much, as long as you don't put it in the Kings Glade (I reccomend putting it in the Lost Glade area).

It sounds like a good idea to me. I would say a full forum is better than a sub-forum; sub-forums are often hard to find. And I agree the 'Lost Glade' forum section is the most appropriate - with rules discussion, and not in an already overcrowded one like the kings glade.

Now all we need is a name for it...

On the point of moderation, few of the other forums have specifically designated moderators. Why would this one need one more than those?

Alternatively, it may be a good idea to give positions as forum-specific moderators to members, since our admins don't often have the time to do all the small jobs that crop up (like stickying and unstickying topics...). However I'm sure that's something that the admins themselves would want to discuss in their own forum rather than here, so I shall not stay on the topic any longer.
