Welcome Back to The Lost Glade!

Well the new year has started and with it a rejuvenation of the kindred cup. All kindreds have been reset so if your not in one tell an admin what you want. The competitions will be happening each month starting with the Vaul's Anvil Challenge which will continue all year in order to motivate players to paint their miniatures so be sure to pop on into Vauls anvil for that!

A few other changes will be made very soon so if anybody is having any problems with anything tell an admin and we will get it sorted.

And lastly, don't forget to click the Warvault affiliate banner to the right over there! Vote for us and make us the #1 Wood Elf forum.

Treeman Ancient and the ongoing campaign, an update

Citizen of the Glade Group: Spellsinger Posts: 11 Member No.: 407 Joined: 3-December 06	Well our campaign has entered a new era. I recieved a Treeman model for my birthday and he/she/it has had it's first outing in a massive 8000 point battle. The alliance I am in consists of woodelves(me) empire(Liz) brettonians(varies) and dogs of war( whoever needs them). We are up against darkelves (Tara) chaos (richard) O&G (another richard) and the dogs of war (army pool). This recent battle will be remembered for the treeman and treekin caving in the all chaos flank. The treeman tore a shaggoth lord apart in close combat and then overran into the Khornate chaos lord and his bodyguard of chosen. A timely flank charge by wardancers and glade guard which had a 5+ ward save saw the lord and his chosen defeated and slaughtered as they tried to run. The eternal guard did their job admirably refusing to break or run in the end the large block of chosen they faced had to kill every last one of them and by that point the battle was well and truely over. result a well deserved but bloody victory.

Eternal Artist Group: Ancient Posts: 1,556 Member No.: 227 Joined: 12-April 06	Awesome, bet it took a while for that game to finish even if it only lasted a few turns lol. I had a 3000pt game and that took most of a day to do lol. great stuff all round.

Citizen of the Glade Group: Spellsinger Posts: 11 Member No.: 407 Joined: 3-December 06	My army is based around 2 principles defence and offence. The defence part is built around a large block of 20 eternal guard, 14 glade guard and 2 units of ten glade guard. The offensive block includes 16 dryads, 3 treekin, wardancers full troop,6wild riders and glade riders. Character wise I use a branchwraith, spellweaver, spellsinger and an alter noble. I have since added the treeman and a wildrider noble on greatstag. The army works fairly well however there are still a few wrinkles to iron out. Favourite quote from one of my last battles " OMG the eternal guard are actually moving!" followed shortly by a large block of chosen getting a serious makeover. I wish I could update more often but it's really hard to find the time sometimes. Hope everyones keeping well.
