Welcome Back to The Lost Glade!

Well the new year has started and with it a rejuvenation of the kindred cup. All kindreds have been reset so if your not in one tell an admin what you want. The competitions will be happening each month starting with the Vaul's Anvil Challenge which will continue all year in order to motivate players to paint their miniatures so be sure to pop on into Vauls anvil for that!

A few other changes will be made very soon so if anybody is having any problems with anything tell an admin and we will get it sorted.

And lastly, don't forget to click the Warvault affiliate banner to the right over there! Vote for us and make us the #1 Wood Elf forum.

VAC Month 6, Finally lol

Citizen of the Glade Group: Ancient Posts: 2,393 Member No.: 63 Joined: 4-January 06	Very nice Guido Le Gross He is the guy from the current White Dwarf, entered into the Citadel Hall of Fame. I like your neat but 'dirty' painting, appropriate for a peasant, and the colour choice is a good one. I hate the Bowmen of Bergourac though... Three special characters (Guido Le Gross, Hugo Le Petit and... the actual robin hood guy) could be attached to any unit of Brettonian archers. The unit instantly gained Skirmish, BS 4, Immune to Psychology and a heap of other abilties for no extra points. My usual Brettonian opponents used to take a huge Bowmen unit with these guys and then out-shoot my wood elves with his very cheap guys.

Spear of Orion Group: Wild rider Posts: 886 Member No.: 32 Joined: 28-December 05	I just assembled Orion last night, hopefully I'll be able to get the starting coats of paint on him tonight. I'm aiming for a completion date of November 1st so I can use him in a mega-battle for my local league. I'm going to paint him in Autumn colors to match the rest of my army. I'm also thinking about leaving off his cloak and bow, I like the look of the model better without them. It will mean some greenstuffing with which I have very little skill but I think I can pull it off. I'll hopefully be posting WIP pictures as I go.

The yellow and black are very smooth and I especially like the red on the seat, it breaks up the yellow and gives the model a very finished look. I'm not going to post pictures of Orion here too, but if you want to see them you can find them in this thread: Link Next up is a branchwraith and possibly glade and/or wild riders so I can make a legal Orion-led army and then back to dwarfs!
