[Silly Dragon Elf the Third]

I am now playing World of Warcraft thanks to a friend's unwanted PC.

I got a Night Elf Druid at the moment lv6 with a few solo quests completed. I was wondering if anyone else here is on it so we can team up. My character's name is Aeorna...sound familiar? Only thing is i don't have an instruction manuel so i don't how to do a few things like general talking and inviting and getting out of groups.

Ok i see no joke markings like a lol or anything...

So whats wrong with it? I find it to be a great community and encourages teamwork etc.

Also i didn't like that character so i got a new one which is Harquin a Human Paladin. (surprised i got that name too)

It was a half joke. At first wow is a great game, granted it kinda takes over your life making you a mindless drone but at least its fun. Later on however when you reach higher levels its just a matter of waiting around in a city for auctions or groups to to instances all for 'epic' gear why makes everybody end up looking the same. The cartoonyness too it is also fun to begin with when you don't take the game too seriously anyway but I know far too many people that take the game more serious than their real lives which looking at the game is ridiculous.

I'm speaking from experience here unfortunately. Not only do I think it was a huge waste of my life and money but I'm rather disgusted by the whole thing.

Now if you can manage to play the game socially(as in actually do things with real people in real life) between quests and can quite when ever you want then more power on you and have fun, hell even keep me updated on how your doing on it. I just hate to never see you again coz the game takes your life.


Epic rant over now (think I just needed to vent abit) have fun. Also no1 will be able to find your character unless you say which server your on I'm sure there's a few on here that play.

Take over my life? I don't think so. Its a good game i grant it that but i play it as much as i play any video game. To me i like the idea of social gaming but not in the idea of huge epic batles. All i want it for is some quests and raids though i want to be a more or less hunter (skinning things and making clothes to sell at really cheap prices) while leveling up slowly. Basically i want to be a kind of helping hand to new beginers and such.

I don't really like the cartoon graphics like orange boars and WAAAAAY too long ears on the Elves (and i would have to play a female with them as the males are again WAAAAy too big muscle wise etc). But then if it had better graphics its gameplay would go down as everyone would need better computers to play.

More power to you then mate, I could only ever play it constantly. Then the fun would were off and i'd quit. I too like the hunter aspect in fact my char was a tauren hunter with master skinning etc. but like i said at the end i was just sat around waiting for auctions coz the only q's left were raid ones so i bought and sold stuff which was gash. The PvP in the battlegrounds is fun I'll give it that but everything else wears thin fast.

Well at the moment i can't seem to get a good internet connection to it. It was fast to begin with but now its taking the pee. I can't really do anything. I doubt it is server trouble as everyone else is still playing. I am in the middle of upgrading from 10 day free trial to standard monthly payment but that should not be why its so slow. The computer i use is 5 years old sure but it was being used by a friend for the same reason (wow). Also surfing the net normally is fine but goes slow when i go on wow site for account management.

I have found that even though they say 'loads of different ways to play with different races, classes etc' but truely all classes have either spells or abilities or some other stuf which IS spells really. I am not that impresed by the game so far i think everyone has hyped it too much for me.

Edit: I admit a dancing female elf is a fantasy of mine

There website has always been slow to load account management (all those drones trying to pay for their next fix ) It could be server maintenance. The one thing the game has going for it is that blizzard really care. They're constantly updating and fixing things even if its just a minor issue. Other players will still go on as they're used to these lag spikes. Either that or your comps about to take a dump hehe

I played through a 14 day free trial, got about as far as you can get by yourself (not being able to trade on a free account cuts down on the social aspect) and got bored with it. Not my kind of game, but I can see why some people love it.

As long as you are able to step back and be realistic about the amount of time you are spending in the game vs. real life then enjoy!

So nobody here plays it then? And there was me hoping for a little guild started for us. Well if anyone does play it my main character is a Night Elf Druid (female for dancing) called Nightdawn. Oh and of course Harquin the Human Paladin.

Oh right. Then its Khagar.

I sorta didn't know what i was doing and have chosen two very useless professions in enchanting and tailoring for my paladin Harquin . So he's gonna be deleted soon. I like the paladin but i found him very one trick pony sorta thing. Attack heal attack heal attack heal...yeah bored now. So i might go for a mage but they are very fragile and basically have to work with others to get anywhere (and most people ignore you i have found).

I used to play WoW, back when it was released. None of this Burning Crusade and Wrath crap. It was still shit though. I stopped like 2 months in due to repetativeness. Then I once again picked it back up after BC. I played it for a day, switched from Alliance to Horde due to half nekkid Nelfs coming up and dancing for gold but then stopped after the day due to Belfs doing the same thing.

Now I play WAR. Awsome game that one is. WoW is too cartoony, WAR is epic fun. Well, ok, I lie, I used to play WAR. I barely have a sufficient amount of time to get a 1 month time card for it to be effective. Blah QQ
