So I played my friends who is always saying he will beat me, he's managed it once by cheating in 6th edition...
He had
Vamp lord lvl 2?
vamp bsb lvl 1
necromancer lvl 1
40 ghouls
40 grave guard
3 varghiests
vargulf
I believe that was his list
Mine was
lvl 4 mage moonstone, WoWE
bsb Luminecents, ruby ring
17 glade guard, musician, banner of eternal flame
3x 5 glade riders, musician
5 wild riders full command
eagle, treeman
Not gonna do a turn by turn because its all too hard to remember.
he set up big block in mid, varguld on my left and varghiests on my right.
I had my treeman in woods on the left, glade guard in some woods in mid and my fast cav on my middle right.
Fast cav vanguarded onto the far right then moved first up the right onto his flank.
I fired 35 shots into his grave guard and killed one. no important magic.
He turned everything to face my fast cav and backed up, this is basicly the story of the game. he fell for the oldest trick in the book, turning to face my cav when they threatened his flank whist I peppered him with arrows. The only things that came for my glade guard were the var's and i happily shot them both to death. Turn 6 he was finally in a position to charge my glade guard but my having first turn and a moonstone meant he was left ranting about the game being his most boring ever. Not an elf was lost and to be fair I only killed off 4 multiwound models.
Still a win is a win and without a single casualty its a pretty amazing win for the Welves :) And I had the most fun I have ever had in a game

Probably won't use that army vs. him again though. To be fair he had a perfact chance to get into combat at one point when I marched my treeman within an inch of his vargulf but he ran off to get shot by the glade guard after running from my eagle too.
If he had marched straight forward with the dance macabre thing too I would have lost no doubt just from him catching my treeman. Ah well who says undead are immune to fear.
