Title: Best Space Marine Chapter?

Altithir - April 2, 2006 07:04 PM (GMT)
Simple, vote and post reasons why...

Darkblade - April 2, 2006 07:39 PM (GMT)
Well the answer is really non. But if you think fluff wise: Black templars are the largest space marine chapter as they infact is more like a legion then a chapter, only devided into crusades. Paint wise: because the black and white sceme is just lovely and so striking. Also it is easy to paint and give much time for details. Rule wise: they are an exselent close combat army, but still have loads of firepower and a healthy portion of brain.

They just rock (lol)

Seems as though the sons of Dorn have it, as its blatently the crimson fists chapter, nice and cool colour scheme, one of the best characters ever (Only the model is pap). and theyve been blown up (admittdely by themselves)

Im not biast in anyway seeing as though i am a Crimson Fist player  lol
and besides they were chosen to represent the marines on the previous editions codex, so how cool can ya get tbh

Space Wolves. Hands down. Their fluff is really rivetting stuff, the models are nicley designed and they play well. That gives them the best in my books.

Spirit Of The Forest - April 3, 2006 08:03 PM (GMT)
Iron Hands. They used to be rock hard in the old rules. Their fluff is very nice and the models are just great!

WinterGuardian - April 3, 2006 11:55 PM (GMT)
i went other becuase i created my own chapter
and i had a whole army to go along with it, and believe it or not i actually made up my own unit too
and i played with them against my friends becuase then we would use house rules
that was a lot of fun

Altithir - April 4, 2006 01:40 PM (GMT)
well i voted for the blood angels, as i started collecting them as my first army back when i was 7 years old (wow, that was nearly 11 years ago). Back then i chose them because they were the chapter printed on the box and i liked the colour scheme. Then when the next edition of 40K came out and they had a great fluff for them, so i stuck by them even though i preferred the Dark Angels colour scheme. Plus, their special rules are the best of any SM Chapter

Spirit Of The Forest - April 4, 2006 03:11 PM (GMT)
I have jsut created my own chapter and fluff for them I will try and get it up soon!

Aerandir_Tinuviel - April 5, 2006 04:31 AM (GMT)
Me, I created my own Chapter. So I choosed "other"
Because my chapter RoXxOrS everybodies SoXxOr'S!

The Knights Templar - and yes I am aware its named after the Knights Templar in our history.

I did generally generate them based off them in history. A crusading army much like the Black Templars, but with far much more Zeal. A continuous Crusade in which it'll never end. Its a Fleet based legion/chapter. No homeworld to call their own. The Battle Barge is the main base of operations, incluing their sister Battle Barge which is currently MIA. Accompied by 17 strike cruisers and countless escorts.

Xeoszale, is the Librarian and Head Master of the chapter. Even though I call him the "Father Chaplin". And yet he is not a chaplin? but whatever! he mutli-task's every position.

But yea... ill compile the information in which we can all understand without all of the fluff and stuff. Ill try to compress information on traits and what their based off of. So it'll be easier on the eyes. :D

Well, I have voted Black Templers because I like the modells and the fluff...
But I had a hard time with choosing which I shut vote on.. I dont play Black templers, but the fluff and the new models is so cool.. but normaly I play with "my own" chapter...

sae-thal - April 7, 2006 10:37 PM (GMT)
Has to be space wolves for me the fluff and the models are brilliant and their primarch is one of my favourites.
Even though i have a ultramarine force (i was young and naive) the wolves have always captured my interest.

UnicornPower - April 9, 2006 03:26 AM (GMT)
Hah... black templars were so much better to look at when the players used to raid the space wolf boxes to make their models.

I voted Space Wolves because I play them and use their entire kits with giddy delight, instead of throwing out the fuzzy parts like countless early BT players. tsk tsk tsk

Besides, I look at the new BT models, and despite how cool their rules might seem... what's up with their Servos? One has wiffle balls for hands, and the other is just a ripoff of Passion of the Christ. pfft

Havent seen or read anything so wich one to vote :p

Thrask - April 15, 2006 11:51 PM (GMT)
Do Death Guard Nurgle Chaos Marines count? (lol) But seriously I hate all marine chapters so I voted other. B)

Nymraif - April 20, 2006 04:01 PM (GMT)
Blood Angles for me, first ever 40k army i collected. The only thing they are bad at is holding objectives etc. because of the rage.

Shadow Dancer Finrod - April 22, 2006 07:57 AM (GMT)
Blood Angels! My only 40k army :). I realy like them, good fluff and great to play with. Indeed not very reliable when holding objectives.

For Sanguinius!

Altithir - April 24, 2006 08:08 AM (GMT)
hahahaha, don't forget how useless their devastator squads are. They are the only squad in the game that you can guarantee consistently rolling 1's with in the movement phase

Shadow Dancer Finrod - April 24, 2006 08:11 PM (GMT)
who needs devestators anyway! :p, w use melta bombs and twin-linked assault cannons :D

Gil Galed - May 3, 2006 08:03 PM (GMT)
