Hey guys, I started painting Orion last night. Here is my progress thus far:



I'll try to post WIP pictures as I go along on this model.

I did some more work yesterday, I hope to finish this by (or before) November 1.

I like the scenic base, and it looks like the model is coming along well, but it's always difficult to tell with a WIP on such a detailed model.

Yah, the pictures just don't do the model justice. It is hard to get it to focus and the model has such small details that it mostly just looks like a jumble. Once I get it all finished I'll try to get some good quality pictures.

Yep, the pics aren't giving much away. From what i can see, the shading on the thigh is pretty dark, so i would put in some transitions to make it go from dark to light smoother. What kind of texturing are you going to do on the greenstuff on the base mate?

I'm all done now, I'll post pictures when I'm able. For the base I glued sand, then drybrushed it with a few coats of green to make it look like grass or moss. The rocks got painted grey and I also glued down some autumn flocking to make it match with the rest of the army.
