Title: Greetings from Elros Amandil

Elros Amandil - September 8, 2008 01:40 PM (GMT)
Salutations all, my name is Elros Amandil. I seek to give my council to those that gather in the Lost Glade (What little of it I have) and also to gain strength and knowledge that were perhaps beyond me in the wilderness of my troubles and loathing for the Druchii.

I am not too soon from the training ranks of my home but I have seen much battle and have learned quickly the ways of the Asrai for it has been needed. Our camp was attacked by a raiding party of Druchii lead by a foul sorceress and knight. We were unable to mount a defense as most of the forces had at the time joined the Wild Hunt and many of the strong men had left to hunt their next meals. They struck us hard and they had timed their attack just right. The camp was burned as to was the forest area surrounding until we were supported by strongmen and awoken Dryads. The Druchii fled from our land but in their stay they had left ash and soot and the butchered bodies of our kin, my sister and great veteran soldiers too frail now to fight. They showed no mercy.

And so I have dedicated these latter years of my life to exacting my revenge on that Knight. The Battle against the Witch King is one to be fought by those on Ulthuan, we have our own home to defend and our own blood to protect. There is only one way in which their minds may take rest and that is the beheading of the sorceress and her knight, I have a few loyal followers of my cause from my home camp in the forest, those that survived also share my grief and anger and wish the smiting of the murderous dogs that infiltrated our beautiful forest home.

We are a small warband but I hope to gain more followers, I know there are others who have scores to settle with the Dark ones and if I can in anyways be of assistance to you then I shall lend what aid and knowledge I can. I am afraid that I generally keep to myself, spending many hours in meditation, take this in no offence, I am merely trying to find peace; maybe then when my act is completed, when the arrow from my bow pierces the skull of the Knight and my sword cleaves the sorceress in two, then maybe you shall see the lighter side of what once was a well respected muse.

‘Neither magic nor metal shall halt me
Not a force in the Old World break me
I am set in my ways of anger and thunder
Till I cleave the sorceress asunder
The Knight shan’t escape, not this time
Heed these words and fear this rhyme
When I let go of the deadliest arrow
Don’t beg for mercy, don’t ask for sorrow
Your time will have come
Your debts erased
Those that you slaughtered freed now
Will finally rest in peace’

My only regret is that I cannot bring you a happier verse but I wish for you to understand my anger and realize my hatred and desire and forgive me also the long introduction.

But now I must take my leave and meditate, I go on the hunt tomorrow for Orcs- They make good practice. And the Wardancers in my kin need a lot of practice.

(OOC) Just in case you hadn’t worked it out…I would like to join the Vengeance Kindred. Good day to you all.

OOC: Check out the Council Of Bards section for role-playing/stories/Army Fluff etc. Also be sure to check out the painting competition going on at Vaul's Anvil! Hopefully one of the admins will sign you up to your kindred soon! The Glade has been a bit quiet due to summer holidays etc. but it is starting to come alive again as autumn arrives. Welcome again to the best Wood Elf forum around!

OOC: <- not that I have a character to be out of... Welcome Elros Amandil. I'm sure your apparent love of stories and roleplaying will earn you a fair few friends around here.

((OOC))- I hope so to. It's a shame to hear the forums on a bit of a decline because I've been reading it for a while and only now just signed up and it'd be a shame for it to collapse. I've learn't more from this site in 2 weeks than I have playing on my own with friends for over a year.

Welcome friend. Glad to hear we are still some help to some people  I'll make it known that you are a bit moody (I'll put you into the vengeance kindred)

As fluff is the only thing keeping me interested in Warhammer its nice to have the likes of you here :)

The Lone Warrior - September 9, 2008 06:49 PM (GMT)

Welcome friend! A warrior after my own heart ... but no dout more noble.

May Kurnous guide your blade and Isha weep for your lost kin.

It saddens me greatly to hear of your plight for I, too, have been on the wrong side of the Druchii from time to time.

May I offer you my service. I am some what known to our dark brethren and welcome in several of their great cities and may hve even met this sorceress you speak of ... but then they are usually quite anti-social and I've met very few.

But still, if I can help I shall.

You may frown at this but I remind you of the greatest of sayings:

"Keep your friends close, your enemies closer."

Think on it my friend ...

[O.O.C] Hello Elros and welcome to the greatest of Wood Elf forums. It is brilliant to beable to greet another new member and especially one who likes theatrics (lol)!

Any help you need will definately be sorted as the people on this forum are very helpful. I'll of course help, too, if I can but I'm not as experienced as others on the site.

Anyway, glad to meet you and I hope you stay or a long time (lol).

The elf watched the scene with interest, his sharp ears tweaked to listen to the newcomer's tale. Interesting, this one has suffered much hardship from the vile Dark Elves. The figure walked from behind the cover of the trees, casting his form into the light. fairly tall, thin, like most elves, with a bow slung over his back. He nodded graciously to the newcomer "Greetings brother, I do grieve to learn of your tale of hardship, we must talk of that later. For now, I welcome you to the glade, and wish you well on your quest"

OOC: Short, rushed, and terrible writing, but oh well :p

I'm also a writer at heart, and though I'm feeling slightly guilty about sending you this link, I believe it best.

A site made for fluff and run by fluff writers, this site REALLY helps young writers and the like further hone their skills.

Other than that, welcome to the lost glade :)
