Hey, i would like to play in a RP, i am not sure how to do so, i have never do it before, but i need one GM, and a couple of party members.

I would really like to play one involving wood elves, around 50 years after the fall of Hienrich Kemmlers at the Battle of The carins, these wood elves have been hand picked by the everquee herself, to hunt him down and defeat him once and for all, to prevent another assult on the Carins

If you want to play, ask, and post a paragraph or 2 about your character..

I am Zraal Darksong, a member of an alter kindered, after being exiled from my wardancer kindered for resons unknowen to you. I always carrys around my scythe, we are unseperable, I have has cut down many a foe who stood in my way with it.
I stole the scthye off one of Hienrich Kemmlers minor leaders in the final major battle of the Carins, the scythe was enchanted be Kemmler himself. I have no idea of the power behind this weapon.
I also carrys magical arrows, said to be made by Daith himself, which allow no foe to defend himself against their wrath.


In a group Zraal is the quiet one, the one with dark secerets, and a dark past to match.
He knows his way through the forests and all the secerts of athel loren, he is a skilled navagator, but he is also a skilled fighter to have by your side.

I know its to do with Wood Elves but may i beg you to let me be a High Elf? Sort of on a mission to seek out magical items left by Kemmler and bring them back to Ulthuan. If yes then he would probably be a dragon mage (minus the sun dragon of course) who wants to prove himself to the loremsters. Or a shadow warrior who has so far been able to blend in with the Wood Elves acting like an informat to the High Elves about their movements etc and gets caught up in this mission.

If not then i guess i'll come up with some kind of Asrai character...

Also the Evergueen is in Avelorn, Ulthuan (or the real one is) not Athel Loren, your talking about Ariel Queen of the woods but not the Everqueen. Sorry had to say that being a High Elve player now :p

Not sure if Elberneth wants to GM it he did a good job in the Moonlit Hunters thread only cut short by exams i think (which are ending soon i hope). If not then maybe just maybe i could try to be the GM after learning some pointers from Elb's work.

Yeah, you being a high elf would be ok, kind of a tratior later on maybe? Planing to help us and get the items before killing us all or somthing. Even being a wandering high elf (exiled or whatever) would be cool.

Special Rules: Warrior Mage, Reckless, Speed of Asuryan, Valour of Ages.

Equipment: Sunstaff, Dark Red Robe with many bronze elven runes, various small bottles of ingredients used for Alchemy. A well worn book (abit burnt too) kept inside a tanned leather bag.

History: Started learning the fine art of magic from the loremasters of the white tower of Hoeth after showing some natural affinity with magic in his time as a spearman. But he was foolish and careless with the winds of magic and soon after mastering one the eight lores (Fire) he grew tireless of the lectures and felt the call for battle. So taking one of the famed Sunstaffs he made his journey back to his homeland of Caledor to awaken himself a powerful steed, a Sun Dragon! He had heard of many Dragon Mages simply walking up to one of the beasts and called it by name and as if by instinct it awakened and the two would go to war. But as Authir approached one of the slumbering beasts no name came to mind and all his attempts to waken it failed. He left the mountains with anger and then went to Lothern. Here he snuck aboard one of the trading ships bound for the Old World to seek out both power and prove that he was worthy of riding one of these mighty beasts! A personal journey too to find out more of himself.

Not long in his jouney did he come face to face with a waystone indicating the start of Athel Loren and here his real journey started...

Thats nonsense! You can certainly do just as well if not better! Just add alittle more detail (like age etc) and do it in Italics (that always makes it look better! (lol) ).

Well PM me a few details and i could write something up for you. Give me the basis of what you want (a powerful offensive mage like mine, or a rogue scout guy or an incredible archer) and i can whip something up.

I got a feeling this could be a good RP so please join, but only join if you are going to be active and enthusiastic with it.

I love hte rp's here and want to join if through a cheap way of writing the battle of the airns spot for Ecthelion however that character is growing dull I feel and since the other rp is technicly still going but just on hold till Elb gets back I think I will give this one a miss. Or be GM lmao though I doubt my GM'ing abilities so I won't go there :happy:

Come of it Seany you know as well as me that the other RP is on its last legs so to speak. Its been awhile since its last post and seemed very random and without a real focus (objective) to go for, hunt vampires, with no name of one or clue of where it was like WTF. I think its dead, it was good while it lasted but finished like all RPs here half way through.

If you want to GM thats great! Just look back at what Elberneth did, the way he posted etc and kinda copy that method as i think its great and what we missed for all the other RPs. The only reason why it failed was it was too much like the others, mercenaries and such. This one is different, to do with Wood Elves (mostly :shifty: ) and is actually in line with GW fluff! :O

Edit: No offense or anything but could you refrain from using Ecthelion? Firstly his banished from Athel Loren so why would he be on a mission given directly from Ariel? Secondly we already know his background personality and is a tad dull (only a tad though) to write new ways of finding him out (meetings etc). If you want i'll give you my other character i thought off when writting Authir. A wood elf too.

History: Zraal is a member of an alter kindered, after being exiled from his wardancer kindered after he took his sythe from the body of one of Heirch Kemmlers main Liuetenants after the battle of the Carins, his kindered did not approve of this weapon, let alone the stealing of it from the bady of an enemy. This scythe has power that Zraal does not understand or does not know how to control.

Zraal has spent the last 50 years traveling the great expanse of Atheloren, and fighting in many minor battles along the way, which has lead to him becoming a skilled tracker, and Fingher.

His solotude would have continued, but the Queen of the Woods, Ariel summoned him, giving him, and a group of hardy warriors the task of finding, and destrying Kemmler, once and for all, so that he shall not attempt another attack on the Carins.

Zraal was picked for this task because of his ex-kindereds part in defending the Carins agaist Kemmler, it was said that Zraal even delivered the final blow on Kemmler, and has not been the same since...

If its the case of before he left Athel Loren Seany then by all means use him. Its your choice. I was so close to using Altatar Averrod for whom i have written quite alot about already, but had to restrain myself as i thought "why the hell would he hunt Kemmler?" so didn't. A dragonless Dragon mage was my third choice in fact after a kind of scouty noble either from Asrai or Asur.

I might not be able to post for a 9ish hours or so in about 1-2 hours as its saturday afternoon, and i will be having warhammer club thing, with my friends (going to play some lizards in a 2k :smile: And hope fully a couple of warbands games)from between 12-1pm, till about 9pm *ish* I am looking forward to it :smile:

Second this one too will be finished one way or the other weather people like the way it ends or not. I will be enforcing strict rules for post durations -.- basicly if you don't post within 3 days your character gets eaten by something.

Finally. I agree about the over powered however would Ariel choose you to go hunting the dreaded lich if you weren't uber?

A dragon mage is not Uber. Its a level 2 wizard and is all in all in ever respect to the same as the one made by GW, except without the sun dragon. If i did have it then it would be overpowering.

Being my bodyguard? Fluff wise my character is out to prove his worth so wants to fight himself. Also he left Ulthuan alone. Maybe you could be someone sent to bring him back? But then perhaps we should have more Asrai in this RP. Perhaps me and Darkblade could be Asur but thats it and everyone else is Asrai. Maybe Seany could be the leader made to be in charge of the warband, also the GM so will control most of the games events and NPCs.

Ahh well, since we all seem to be so hell bent on Asrai. I have yet another question. Can my character come with his unit? Or does he have to be alone. As they are hunting such a powerfull foe I guess unit makes the most sense.

Aye it doesmake the most sence but then it encourages talking to ones self basicly and that is a pain. also if I am to GM this it would be unfair for one character to have more 'wounds' than others. Perhaps a limit of 1 other character each though I wouldn't get too attached to them if I were you.

We really are grumpy in this RP ain't we :dry: No Asur, no squad! Just the plain old boring Asrai's :< Really in my option it should be everyone Asrai or everyone choose for themselves. As thats kinda the most fair thing, then again you play High Elves Silly so I'll leave it be. It still sucks though.

Are Bret knights a possiblity? As many of the Lords around Athel Loren Have close relatonships with the WE's and Ariel could quiet easily be seen as the Lady by a Bret Knight....

If not I'll have to think about Asrai....

Look if we are going to do the hunting of kemmler after being chosen by ariel everybody has to be wood elves otherwise whats the point we might as well do another random rp. Having more than one character makes people talk to themselves more than others in the rp and is harder for the GM to keep control should they split up or what ever.

I think if people want to be what ever race they want then we should change the story of the rp completely, really its Zraals idea so his choice.

Oh and ofc I would kill off your spare character. With all the danger we'd be dealing with a few lives will be lost. so why not the extra's. :wink:

Fine do hunting Kemmler and all Asrai. But i just find it hard to write much about the woods. I am more of a noble city dweller hence why i have started collecting HE (though they were always close to my heart i just simply choose WE first becuase the old HE were all cavalry and not my play style).

So do the RPG but do it probably without me. I am sorry the Asrai are a cool race but i just can't motivate myself to write a cool character for them anymore unless i do Harguin Halheart, the High Elf commander who leaves the Asur to become Asrai. But in the fluff i have written he also leaves the Asrai to return to the Asur. And i don't want to use him as like Altatar Averrod i can't have them die as it would not fit my fluff at all which is why i don't use them in RPGs.

Good luck with the RP though, i am not being grumby i just can't write anymore about an elf who loves trees. Simple as.

I agree we need some more people to join but surely there will be NPCs for you to kill and do random stuff with (like their insides come alive and eat them from the inside etc). So there will be numbers just few of us who play actual characters (who hopefully don't die until the end at least). :p
