Title: Shoot and move
Description: no penalties?

Glim - January 23, 2006 06:55 PM (GMT)

It states in the Wood Elves book that you have no movement penalties for move & shooting, does this also means that you can March and shoot? Since Marching is a movement.

Thanks for any replies, glim

no unit in the game can march and shoot. In the army book it states that wood elves do not suffer the -1 modifier for moving and shooting

That's what I thought, it would have been just to great.

Thanx, glim

The only exception to this rule is the Treeman's Strangleroot attack. He can march and use it in the same turn. Though not a true 'shooting attack' per say, it still is resolved in the shooting phase.

Also another exception is Glade Riders, as Fast Cavalry can shoot even if they march. Since Wood Elves suffer no move-and-shoot penalties, GR can fire even after marching thier full 18" - and in any direction :o

Fast Cavalry can march and shoot. ;)

Marcus is correct in this, fast cavalry can march and shoot. The rule does not however, as already pointed out, allow any other wood elf unit to march and shoot.

Now come to think of it,.. how about Flyers? (rulebook pag 106)

They don't March so they probably can shoot too.
