I was just wondering if you guys knew anything about the new VC, even a release date would help. I am really looking forward to these guys. I have a 1500 pt VC army now, but they are useless versus the newer armies. So hopefully they made them crazy like the HE. :p

New Vampire Counts book? :p Yeah i have had the privilege of being able to read this for the last week. My local GW store have got a copy of it and let anyone read it. I have only looked at it breifly but they do have some nasty stuff. They also have some new models, ghouls and the corpse cart (new chariot thingy that looks very very evil). Theres also a creature thats like a huge bat come werewolve with the base size of a treeman. Theres a difference in the necromancy lore. Instead of the first spell being invocation of nehek its now like drain magic is (if you choose necromancy you already know it). But it has got rid of the 3 levels of it. Instead of it being used as 5+, 8+ and 11+ (or whatever it was) its now set with a set amount of summoning it can do. You can summon more using the summon horde spell (which is the sixth spell). Still got the magic missle and extra movement.

I have heard of a new bloodline rumour but didn't really think to look for it. Next time i go in i will look at it more thoroughly and try to remember key changes/add ons to post here for you.

That was very useful. I always like to be up to date with rumors. A few weird rules that I doubt will be in there, but w/e. It looks like VC will actually have some strength in their army and be able to kill some people. :happy:

eh? Even before this updated book comes out they have a good army. The lore of necromancy is arguably the best lore. The numberless fear causers that just don't break and super hard characters together with cheap wizards (lv2 no items 100pts wow! and with a good lore). If any book needs a re-vamp (ha ha couldn't help it) it is either Dark Elves or Brettonia (DE just suck and Bretts need some new items and some divesity, like not needing the knight of the realm that annoyed me).

That's strange. I thought they kinda got rid of bloodlines. On the GW website they have 2 vampire models. So I thought it would be just a regular vampire and then you could get magic items or something. Although they do seem to still have the Von Carstein (my favorite), so that's weird.

Bloodlines gamewise are gone, the story being that vampires upon draining the blood of another vampire gain their abilites, the bloodline abilities however remain, tho you can mix and match from one list
