When did that happen?!
Keep on Voting People
Servant of Isha - February 28, 2007 09:38 PM (GMT)
I've been voting far more regularly lately and noticed the drop. Not that it really matters but it's very nice to be in the top five (we're not that far behind the couple in front, so every vote makes a difference!)
I hadn't however noticed the kindred scoreboard, good spot SDETT!

There've been a lot of Vampire Count sites cropping up all over the place, from what things seem to be on the board.

Eek, I just realized I haven't voted on Warvault for a while - I'll get voting straight away.

OT: What is it with Vampires lately? I saw at least 3 shows on TV that featured Vampires (or in the case of Third Watch, a bunch of kids pretending to be Vampires), I've been reading 'Salems Lot by Stephen King (which is about Vampires - I just finished it today, a good read) and I walked past a caberat restaurant called Dracula's, which features - you guessed it - Le Vampyre.
And now you mention Vampire counts, it's starting to FREAK-ME-OUT.
That is all :ph43r: [/OT]

I seem to see a few of these around when I go abroad. It's odd.

The Draculas in Melbourne is a tad... strange. I'm assuming they're a lot better elsewhere. The only vampire movies I really enjoyed were Blade, only the first one, and Interview with a vampire. Lestat is the awesome.
Schmeag - March 1, 2007 09:27 AM (GMT)
Hmm, I began to get a little annoyed with Blade's persona after a while.

OT again: I'll tell you guys a secret - when I was about 5-8 years old I would sleep with my blanket wrapped around my neck. My logic behind this at the time was that if a Vampire happened to drop in for a drink (haha), he wouldn't be able to bite me as my neck would be covered.
I still have a small special place in my gut for the fear of Vampires to this day :ph43r:
Schmeag - March 1, 2007 10:20 AM (GMT)
I used to sleep with my head under the blanket, which pretty much covered me from a lot of 'fears'.

When I was younger, I used to live in the city, but then we moved into the country. On the first night, there were a lot of possums about, most on the roof, and they were making a god awfull racket, squealing and bumping around. I was absolutely convinced from the noise that a donkey was trying to head-butt it's way through the wall .

How comes this topic has gone from talking about voting and score boards adjusting to the talk about childhood fears of vampires and cafes called dracula?
Well i may as well join in. I used to and still do sleep half way off the bed. Like half my body hanging over the side. Sometimes i would wake up suddenly and go to roll over only just to lose my balance and fall out of bad (usually head first).
I never as far as i can recall had anything like wrapping the duvet round my neck or hiding under covers. Though i do check the covers for spiders by shaking the covers very hard before climbing into bed. This is because one day i went to bed and felt something on my leg crawling. Now i'm ok with spiders usually but only for one thing...If they walk. If they run or move too quickly they freak me out as i can't catch them. This one on my leg ran into my boxers and i freaked then rolling out of bed and more quickly then ever getting undressed in a second then stamping the floor to squish the bugger.
As for the blade films. yes teh first one was the best. Second was still good. Thiord is kinda like expected and easy to predict. As with most vampire films.

Agreed on the third film. Anyway, I tend to roll in my bed unless I have my computer on it (often).
