The second OoT volume will be released December 2nd. The product page is...
HereOnly 5 days until the first volume is released. I think I'll zip over to Borders and review it for here.
Well, it appears interesting enough to go out and buy. The first volume goes from the beginning to Adult Link facing himself in Kakariko Village for training purposes (no, don't quite remember that part...). The story moves at a fast clip, covering 5 dungeons in ten chapters (about 200 pages). That's not to say it's a bad thing, but it feels like it skips out on some of the details of the game, and sometimes meshes events together. The author also adds some backstory in (like Link actually being born in Kakariko), and it works out nicely with the rest of the story. There are jokes scattered around the story, especially with child Link, but the story overall is more serious.
Plusses:
Does a good job of sticking to the story
Adds some new stuff
TLoZ is a good match for the manga format
Decent art
Minuses:
Story feels rushed along
Some speech and pictures are a bit cut off at the book's binding
11/02/08 EDIT: The first Majora's Mask book is scheduled to hit in February.
