As I might or might not have said before I 'left' the forum after the Hylian Domain Legacy, I am taking CISCO classes, which focus on networking, subnetting, routers, and the whole lot. Right now, I'm pretty confident I can help in basic issues. Don't know if anybody else even has a concern (or cares) about networking, but I'm just throwing the topic out.

I'd actually like to take some networking courses once I'm in college, but for now I'm focusing on keeping my grades up in school.

Meant to reply to this, but kept forgetting :p

Actually, CISCO is my best class. Talk to the 100.5% average.

Actually, I need to start studying for this test. I've been so busy lately with other things I just haven't had the time.

So it seems there is more than one way of certification...

Probably. What I do is research in any type of network material then I go to the testing center. I go on a computer that has the test on it but you're completely isolated from everyone in a soundproof room. You get 90 minutes to finish the test, I think I had 83 questions and I don't even know how many I got right but I do know that I was 2 questions away from passing, which I was P'ved about. But i got over it and hopefully by May I'll be ready again.

Cisco has an entirely online curriculum, and tests we also have to do online. The online tests count for everything in CCNA (Network Associate) certification, but they aren't as important for the actual class, because they're averaged in with study guides and quizzes. Also, as I might have mention before, there's only three people in my class, including me. Our teacher frequently curves tests. So one of us usually has a 100% (or better). Not to brag, but it's usually me :p

The looming semester exam is what really counts for the certification, and you have to get a 70% or better to pass. I'm not worried about that in the slightest. There are 4 semesters in total, and I'm in the first. Basically, it's a two year class.
