Welcome to the new Hylian Domain. We're glad you chose us for your Zelda forum solution. As staff members, we'll try our best to make your stay worth your while. However, there are some expectations that we expect from you, that's to follow these rules. Failure to do so will result in administrative action.
Main Board Rules
In order to keep the board looking fresh and up-to-date, we will be enforcing these rules especially. Read it carefully.
1. Double posting/Cross posting is not allowed. For posting something after you posted a message, use the edit button to edit your message, double posting will be considered bumping and is not allowed EXCEPT in the Forum Games forum. It is also permitted in the Writer's Paradise forum IF AND ONLY IF you are posting subsquent chapters of a story. Cross posting is posting the same topic in several different forums. People will answer your topic if they have experience with it or are interested in it. Cross posting will result in having all the doubles locked and one of them moved to the proper location.
2. Swearing in moderation is okay but I don't want to see it posted all over the board, things like hell will be allowed IN MODERATION! Mainly it's because I know everybody has their day and sometimes hey may need to use words like that to vent their anger, but of course flaming is NOT allowed.
3. Warez is not allowed. This is P2P programs, CD-Key hacks, illegal content such as downloaded mp3 music that is NOT paid for (e.g. LimeWire, BitTorrent etc.) this will result in severe administrative action and a possible permaban on your account if done twice. You'll get one warning and then depending on the situation, the next is most likely going to be a permaban.
4. One account per-person. Any double accounts will be banned and your regular account will get a warning. If you wish a name change, contact an administrator, please see the topic for the name changes.
5. Do NOT give out your password. Anyone especially staff members giving out their password will be demoted and permabanned. DON'T DO IT!!
6. No rent-a-mods (Wannabe moderators) This is a normal member coaching or explaining to a member that their last action wasn't correct inside of a topic. Leave that up to the staff members. PM is different AS long as you don't harass them. If you're just being a good friend then there is no problem.
7. Respect admins/mods, they are your superiors. We'll treat you with respect if you treat us with respect. I might have admin powers but I don't think I'm any better than anyone on this board.
8. Spam is strictly forbidden, except in the forum games forum.
9. Hacking is extremely forbidden. Hackers will be permabanned by username, e-mail address, IP address and have their information about this sent to their ISP. We will contact the FBI if there is a huge hacking operation going on. It's the same thing as if we were to hack into your personal computer and comprimise all the data on it. Would you like us to do that? I didn't think so. If a hacker decides to hack this forum, immediate administration action will be taken. A file reported with InvisionFree and any and all accounts known to that user along with their IP's banned permanantly. I don't care if you're joyriding or a professional hacker, we don't put up with that crap here.
10. Email validation. We will not discriminate members of different race, religion, ethnic's, disabilies etc. As we require admin validation on all members. However, users that we know cause problems or have an IP we recognize as a permabanned IP will NOT get validated. We do this in order to keep the board in good working order. Validating members will NOT be able to access the board until they get validated by an admin. More than likely you will get validated but things we look for are IP's, e-mail address (which we don't judge in paticular, but we know if it's fake.) and we also look for certain names, if you have a problem, contact the staff via e-mail to hyliandomainrpstaff@yahoo.com and a response should happen within 24-48 hours, depending on the day of the week it's submitted. Remember that we will not turn you down unless we have a GOOD REASON! If we turn down a member, we may or may not provide them with a reason why. If you're not getting validated, please email hyliandomainrpstaff@yahoo.com at once.
11. This forum is not to be considered error free or will comply with the users requirements. Everything is as is. The forums will get updated from time to time but it is not for certain how often and when the forums will be operational. If you have any problems please contact the board administration.
Extras
Things that aren't included but is FYI.
1. Name changes. PM Brian, Bcdefg123, Altik_0, or Zephyr. Name changes are allowed within 6 months from each other and no more than 3 changes in 2 years unless of course it has a very good reason to be. ex. Stalkers, attackers, real name used, etc...
