Stargate Atlantis!, I LOVE IT!

StoryLine:

After searching throughout the Milky Way galaxy for the fabled Lost City of the Ancients (the ancients are a very advanced race of beings that died out long ago), Stargate Command realized that it is on Earth... or at least it was. The city, which comes to be known as Atlantis, was built on Earth millions of years ago. The ancients, not only made it a city, but also made it a spaceship capable of intergalactic travel. When a great plague hit Earth, some of the ancients evacuated in Atlantis to the Pegasus galaxy, where they plan to start a civilization similar to the one that they had in the Milky Way.
Dr. Daniel Jackson of SG-1 eventually finds the correct gate address to Atlantis and an international team of explorers is put together in order to go to and study Atlantis. The expedition will be led by Dr. Elizabeth Weir, a civilian who was very briefly in charge of the SGC. The Chief Science Officer is Dr. Rodney McKay, a civilian who has helped out the SGC in the past, the head surgeon is Dr. Carson Beckett, a Scottish MD and biologist, and the head of military operations is hardened Col. Summner.
In order to work most ancient technology efficiently, a rare gene is required, and while Dr. Beckett has it, it isn't pronounced enough to matter. In comes Major John Sheppard, a hotshot air force officer with insubordination issues. Even though he could be a liability to the expedition, he not only has the gene, but can operate the ancient technology almost flawlessly, so he comes along as well. The last major character is Lt. Aiden Ford, a young officer who looks up to Sheppard (and tragically was born without a personality).
Upon arrival in Atlantis, the team realizes that the power is nearly gone, and in order to survive, the city must use the electricity that was powering the defenisve shield to power life support systems. This also means that they cannot use the gate to go back to Earth, since an intergalactic wormhole requires much more power than normal.
Soon, the team begins exploring the city (which is immense) as well as the planets in the galaxy. On the first planet they visit, they meet Teyla, a young warrior woman who protects her tribe from something called the Wraith. When Teyla learns that the visitors don't know who the Wraith are, she begs them to return to where they came from. Soon, the Wraith show up and a lot of bad things ensue. The Wraith are a race of beings that actually gave the ancients a good fight! They are humanoid in build, but they are stronger, faster, and more resistant to harm than any human could hope to be. Also, humans are their food; they literally suck the life out of people. Fortunately for the people of the Pegasus galaxy, they only come around every half century or so (most of them hibernate for long periods of time). Unfortunately, in an act of heroism, Sheppard accidentally causes the entire Wraith population to wake up and begin to feed all at once.
The Wraith start to move from planet to planet searching for a suitable feeding ground. They hear of Earth and the amount of humans there and make it their job to get to Earth. The only problem is, the only way to earth, is through Atlantis. Soon enough the Wraith are flying towards Atlantis' doorstep.....

Characters needed to play:

MAJOR JOHN SHEPPARD

A gifted military pilot, posted at McMurdoch Air Force Base because it's the only place they will let him fly; Sheppard once defied a direct order and flew his helicopter to rescue two Rangers trapped behind enemy lines. Though people might see a good-ol' boy exterior, he is also a closet mathematical genius. He has a wry sense of humor and likes to pretend he's not as smart as he really is.
Most of the time a perfect gentlemen -- who tries his best to be charming -- when he's pushed to fight he can be an absolute animal with single-minded purpose. He distrusts authority and always goes with his gut, letting his strong sense of common sense morality lead his actions. He is about 35 - 40 years old.

DR. ELIZABETH WEIR (played by Rissa)

Attractive, brilliant, and the master of five languages, this 35-year-old started out as a critic of government spending on the military. But she ultimately decided the best way to fight the establishment was to join it and change what she could from within by brokering peace and being a voice of reason to whoever would listen. She worked behind the scenes for the U.S. government as a high level international negotiator for years before being offered command of the Stargate Program by the new President. Now, she has been given the opportunity to lead an international team through the gate to a new galaxy on a grand mission to save all of humanity and she is not one to turn that challenge down.

DR. RODNEY MCKAY

A brilliant and arrogant astrophysicist, Dr. McKay has worked with Samantha Carter (his intellectual nemesis, but also the object of his affections) on two separate occusions: once when Teal'c's pattern was trapped within the Stargate's memory ("48 Hours"), and again when an assault on the gate by Anubis caused its eventual destruction, which nearly destroyed Earth ("Redemption"). McKay is probably between 35 and 40 years old, and along with Major Carter is recognized as one of the world's leading authorities on Stargate technology and the science of gate travel.

LIEUTENANT AIDEN FORD (Played by Kari!)

Boyishly good-looking, with an ebullient sense of humor to match, this 25-year-old is an officer who volunteers for the Atlantis mission. A good man in a tight spot, he accompanies Major Sheppard on a perilous rescue mission to the Wraith planet, where unspeakable terrors lurk. He keeps a cool head and his finger on the trigger when the Wraiths are closing in on the rescue party.

TEYLA EMMAGAN (Played by Me!)

A beautiful and soulful woman between 20 and 25 years old, she is a native of the post-apocalyptic alien world viewers will encounter in the initial episode, and has lost most of her family to the Wraith. Despite her youth, she has become somewhat of a leader to her people. Initially seen as a love interest for Sheppard, she joins our team's effort to defeat our common enemy in the Wraith and their budding romance becomes playful sexual tension as they focus on their mission. She proves herself early on to be a surprisingly scrappy fighter, a survivor under any circumstances and an invaluable source of knowledge about the people and worlds the team will be visiting. Her race is called the Athosians.

DR. CARSON BECKETT

The team's medical doctor, Beckett is a Scottish man with a witty sense of humor. Beckett must become an expert in xenobiology when he joins the expedition to the Pegasus galaxy, and he learns early on that he possesses the rare gene that allows him to use the Ancients' technology.

RONAN DEX
A human native to the Pegasus Galaxy who fought the Wraith in defense of his planet, Ronon Dex was captured, tortured and then released to become a "runner," the target of a Wraith hunting ritual. He has evaded capture for seven years.

Ronan isn't really needed to play, so take the other characters first!

yep! he was the best ^^ i think sheppard fits oniel more then wats his name... who i dnt like... lol.... mainly bcuz he dissed teyla evil person thinking that she was acting for the wraith... flippin heck they're sworn enemies the wraith and her tribe!!!!!!!!!!!

okay, so who actually watches stargate atlantis? THE NEW SERIES STARTED YESTERDAY!!!! and weir broke up with her husband *cry* i feel so sorry for her, the bastard couldn't wait for her to come home!!!!!!!! they also had a wraith virus take over their ship and sheppard had to go blow up one of their...oh, i forgotten what they're called! and i only watched it last not... they're fighting ship things not the actually ship but the mini jet things... ye anyway, he had to blow up one of them because it was giving the virus a place to escape while they shut down their ship so it could jump back into the ship... and they were headed towards a star at the same time!!!!!!! hehehehehe! but there's one guy i need the name of, his sort of a main character in it... my dad don't know his name either... even though he watches it more then me, the guys bald and pretty envious of the fact that sheppard's been made leauitenent... anybody know?

dudey, the only problem for me that i don't know about the show is the weapon names and the ship names. but ill try find out about them!

i also need to find the name for the asgard in the show, and the bald man!

and just now i found out bald man's name Colonel Stephen Caldwell:
Stolid no-nonsense US Airforce officer, commander of the SGC's newest intergalctic battle cruiser Daedalus.

and the asgard is called Hermoid I think, usually outshines the rest of the crew members and enjoys it... gets annoyed though when someone outshines him and starts speaking in asgard language that no one can understand.

oh and mckay is also a dumbass, he's not as brave as sheppard and the rest and "McKay tryin to shoot his gun when facing two wraith and releasing the clip instead of firing was hilarious!" XD also some one eelse agrees with me on the likeliness of oniel and shepperd they wrote "Loved how they launched a nuke outside the cities shield and blew it up..and then cloaked the city to make it look as if they self destructed it. Great idea... and it came from Shepphard.. reminded me of O'Neill's ideas that he would come up with out of the blue."

and kari your character becomes half wraith in the last episode or the last series

oh well, I'm still not changing my character, now I'm choosing to keep him because it will be a challenge to play! (oh yeah, obscene technical quistion, do the jarheads using m-16's or the xm8?)
