Background Information
The Battle of Megalith was the final battle in the Usean Continental War, which lasted from 2004-2005, but had it’s beginnings in 2002 and 2003. At this point the Independent State Allied Forces had just taken over the Erusian Capital City, Farbanti in Operation Autumn Thunder. With the Erusian Supreme Commander and his Top Generals killed in Action and Erusia’s Top Fighter Unit, the Yellow Squadron also killed; Erusea had officially surrendered to the ISAF.

However, many young Erusian Officers had disregarded the General Order to surrender and fled the country. They had taken refuge in the Second Erusian Super Weapon off the Erusian Coastline known as Megalith. Megalith was a hardened ICBM Launch Facility capable of shooting down Asteroid Fragments in space, however it was going to be used to launch missiles against ISAF Forces across the Usean Continent. ISAF General Head Quarters organized an Air Strike against Megalith, which would be coordinating with a Special Forces unit that would infiltrate Megalith and open Megalith’s main Silo Doors allowing ISAF Aircraft to destroy the ICBM in the main silo; which would knock out Megalith. This would only be possible if an ISAF fighter entered Megalith’s Missile Ports and destroy Power Generators.

The ISAF chose the 118th Tactical Fighter Wing to carry out the air strike. Leading the strike would be the ISAF Ace of Aces, Mobius One. Due to his past actions the 118TFW finally received an official name “Mobius”.

On that morning of September 28th, 2004 as ground crews and pilots completed their final preparations a speech was made by the ISAF Officer in charge of the Operation.

Hours later, the Mobius Squadron was off the coast of Erusea preparing to engage. When the 118TFW entered Megalith’s airspace, the ISAF Special Ops team began their attack within Megalith. Mobius One lead the attack. However, as soon as they entered the Air Space they established a visual-tally with the remains of the Yellow Squadron; which was comprised of 15 aircraft.

The Reserves of the Yellow Squadron, were lead by Jean-Louis, a young Erusian Pilot with the most experience in combat at that time. When Yellow 13 was killed in action, he took over command of the Squadron.

The ensuing Air Battle, described from accounts on both sides, was fierce resulting in heavy losses on both sides. Eventually, the Yellow Squadron was defeated and the Mobius Squadron broke through. The team inside was fighting it’s way Corridor to Corridor against Erusian Forces, but were eventually stopped by suppressing fire from a Flame Thrower. Mobius One, in an amazing show of skill, entered each of Megalith’s Missile Ports and destroyed each Generator. The Special Forces them then moved into Megalith’s Main Control Room fighting in the ensuing Blackout. They managed to open the Main Silo and Mobius One flew into the silo and destroyed the large ICBM, escaping the large explosion.

After this action, the opposing Erusian Forces had silenced and the war was officially over. Mobius One returned to Usea and remained on Standby, along with the rest of the Mobius Squadron.

Was Mobius 1 the only survivor of that dogfight? Did any other aircrft of Mobius squadron made it alive and entered the Megalith.
Or the Mobius one was the only one, huh?

No other aircraft go into Megalith. Its just him (you).

Why do people keep saying that 'Jean Louis' is the new Yellow 13?

While they speak about Jean Louis there is gunfire in the background....and people shouting....

There was an insertion team that went into Megalith to open the exahaust vents so you could attack the nukes before they were launched.....Jean Louis was the leader of this group......and was hit by gunfire.....

Umm, PP, the problem with that is that the Qoute text is denoted RED for enemy, and above it says YELLOW.
You could be recieving two transmissions at once, it's happended to me before, the more important one is usally put in the forefront, while the other one is shoved in the background.

Hey, I think that Jean-Louis wasn't the new Yellow 13, but only the leader of new Yellow squad.

The yellows (refered to some as the "Megalith Yellows") in Op. judgement day were either reservists or rookies transfered in, who were nationalistic enough to keep fighting.

I've always wondered, why did Megalith need those big exhust tunnels anyway? It looks as though they could launch planes from them. it doesn't even seem to hook up to the missile silos. And why were the erusians stupid enough to but the generators in there? (yeah, I know it's a plot device, but still...)

In one picture I saw megalith equipped with red lasers or sth simmilar.
Were those really laser weapons? I haven't heard that megalith's defences was lasers.

I once tried to get shot down by those lasers, but I couldn't. I think those aren't offensive lasers like Excaliber, but they act as a guide to the missiles; once the lasers stop, Megalith fires a salvo of missiles.

OK. i have another question. In one of dialogues one Mobius squadron pilot told: "We are going through asteroids" or sth like that.
What did he mean?

didn't you see the metorites falling when the mission began? Fragments from Ulysses are falling on Usea.

Actually, I don't remember it.

ulysses already went down. i think it was another very close asteroid shot down on purpose.

a few mobius squadron members with less sophisticated aircraft probably got shot down. your wingmen are 3 F-22As, 3 EF-2000s and 3 RM-01s.
