Welcome to Tales of Ildius!
The world of Ildius has been flourishing for the past decades. Kind kings rule the lands, and trade flourishes as good and kindness spreads out after the age of turmoil that was the Kagrik War. The world seems to be settling down into an era of peace.

But even in this grand time, evil still lurks. An evil group known as the Dark Ones, along with their counterpart guild known as the Legion, are building an army of orcs, goblins and trolls. They are planning to take over the world, and turn it into their vampiric feasting ground.

They will stop at nothing to get what they want. They will leave the land a barren wasteland full of death, misery, and flames. They will turn the elven race back to its suppressed earlier life. They will erase the existance of the treants, and rid the world of all hope of light. The Dark Ones are starting a war that will offset the balance and will become an age worse than any other in the history of Ildius.

But, even in this dreadful situation, there are those who rise to protect what is good. Specifically Kadaj the Knight Lord, heir to the throne of Ildius and leader of the Council. Another group that seeks to defend the world is the recently formed group known simply as 'The Odyssey, whose goal is more to wipe out the Dark Ones' counterpart, the Legion.

There are, of course, other groups standing up against this revolt. Emina the Night Mother with the Shadowriders... Kaya and the Monks of Kagren... the Elven Brigade of Elesthier... and the Dwarven Militia of Harthia. Soon the war is going to take on it's peak in brutality, and now is the time for you to find your place among the bloodshed, be you hero or villain.

Leithas didn't even bother stopping to dismount before Bloodmane galloped onto the dock and went straight to the end, where Leithas (with great skill) lifted a fisherman up with the tip of his spear by the back of the collar. "You haven't been paying your taxes," the Berserker said. "And now... you will either pay your dues to the Legion or die."

Word hadn't spread quickly of the Legion's deceit to the mainland, even after the major battle at Fenrir. With any luck, the news won't have reached the port yet. Leithas pushed his lance out further, letting the fisherman hang over the lake.

Gleadrith ventured toward the lake, not noticing what was going on until he had gotten closer. He saw an armored man holding out a long spear. HE squinted and saw there was another human hanging ny his collar over the lake's surface.

Hmm... This could mean trouble.... Perhaps I should break this little argument up....

He trotted over to the armored man, showing no fear whatsoever."Oi! What you be doin' over here?"

Leithas quickly turned, the man at the end of his spear swinging over another side of the dock. Bloodmane stood on his hind legs and kicked the air just in front of Gleadrith's face. "Stand back, dwarf," he said, "this matter does not concern a nobody." He turned back to the man on the end of his spear. "Speak, worm, or your life finds it's end." The fisherman started 'fishing' around in his pockets for his money.

A noboby!?

Gleadrith scowled. He reached for his hammer but thought better of it. Instead, he ignored the horse, and stared right at the mysterious man."..... Let that human go or I'd hate to plant my hammer into your face." He waited for the mysterious man to reply, but instead he took out his own little bag of coins, and held it up so the man could see it."... Would this be enough to settle this man's debt? Don't worry, its not dwarven money or anything."

A grin came across Leithas' covered face. He didn't care about collecting money. He turned the spear, human and all, to the dwarf's face. "How about I collect nothing and spear you both? My wall back at home COULD use some more decorations..." Bloodmane let out a huff.

The man was holding out the tax money. "Take it, take it! Just let me go!" But Leithas wasn't listening.

Gleadrith's face showed no fear whatsoever, simply determination." Now, lets not get carried away...... I was simply requesting you let the man go, and have him pay you." He lowered his pouch of money. He cracked a small smile,"besides, if you kill him, you'll have one less person to recieve money from!"

"I don't care, that's the Dark Lord's problem," he snarled. With this he swung his spear down, slammed the man against the dock, and fiercely pushed the spear right through the man and the dock. Leithas had decided to bring his new sword with him, too, even though he was only in his travel suit... he rolled off Bloodmane and drew it out of the sheathe on his back.

"You're next, dwarf," he said. The grin on his face was wider and more evil-looking than you could ever imagine. "I'm in the mood to feast." His sword rose, and then gently but swiftly came down toward the dwarf with it's teeth cutting the air and making an ear-splitting screech.

Gleadrith watched as the fishermen was killed. Luckily, he had his helm on and the rest of his armor.(Gleady's helm is like kind of like the one Gimli wears on LOTR). He drew Demolisher and scowled,"You're messing with the wrong dwarf sir knight." He jumped backward, avoiding Leithas's blow. He was actually surprisingly quick for a dwarf, as he counter-attacked by swinging Demolisher right at the man's face.

((The horse didn't screech... sleep.gif))

Leithas jumped back, the teeth of the sword ripping a slit in the wood of the docks. "Die! Die! DIE!" Leithas jumped up, landing a foot on his horse's saddle, and pushed off, flying over the dwarf and landed behind him, flattening himself to the docks and swinging horizontally at the back of the dwarf's legs.

Bloodmane, meanwhile, charged from the front, then reared and swung his front hooves toward Gleadrith's face.

Gleadrith sidestepped extremely quickly, and his face showed most amusement. He turned, and swung at the man's side, almost completely ignoring the horse.

Hes good, but he seems to underestimate that of a dwarf...
