Get a character concept, or steal one. Whatever.
Write it, in very short form (less than 100 words), on the character sheet.
The description is torn apart, one sentence at time, and distorted to fit the rules.

E.g. "My wife was killed in a raid by nomads, who also captured my children. I will have my revenge."
Traits could be "Dead wife", "Captured children", "Hates nomads" or "Swore revenge on nomads", for example. Because "I will have my revenge." has 5 words, the value of all traits that come from the sentence must total 5 (or less). So, "Hates nomads 5". The other sentence has 15 words, so traits could be "Nomads killed my wife 6", "I have children 4", "Nomads have my children 5", for example.

100 words may be too much. Dunno.

Resolution is simple. Set stakes. Roll a bunch of dice, equal to the value of traits that directly apply. When in doubt, trait applies at half value.
Each even result is a success. Odds are not.
If some trait is harmful, roll those dice separately. Odd results take away successes, even results do nothing. Kind of nasty.
The player with most successes wins. Stakes happen.
Most rolls have only a moment of relevance. That is, the stakes happen, and next roll that directly benefits or is harmed by the previous result get the successes (over the other guy) as bonus dice, or successes of the other guy as negative dice.
Some effects are more lasting. They are there until changed, which is easy. Disarming is an example. Half the successes are positive/negative dice that harm or help in actions until the condition goes away.
Some rolls have permanent effects. Only fourth of successes remains, but they grant traits. Having one's arm cut off is an example, as is falling in love. The effects can (usually) be negated, but not with ease.

Agib 39

Aavikolla, keitaalla, muiden kauppiaiden kanssa asuva vartija, jonka päätehtävänä on turvata kaupunkiin vietäviä lasteja. Kaupungissa asuu hänen perheensä: vaimo, kaksi lasta. He saavat ainoan elantonsa miehensä työstä. Korkeasti koulutettu, mutta syntyperänsä (=beduiini) vuoksi ei saanut lakitöitä. Perhe on hänelle kaikki kaikessa.
