In other news (which hopefully are not news), I, as a GM, don't have an inherent preference towards your characters ignoring, killing, bartering or accepting the merchant along.

Do we want to officially close the game? At this rate, it'll be eleven months more before Cryptic might make himself available for posting.

Once I get to a longer vacation or something, we could continue, though. I rather like the game even if I may have made it look otherwise.

If I'm interpreting the longer vacation thing correctly (that is, free time that is longer than two- or three-day weekends), I know that the HL days you can assign yourself and the KLs you're likely to earn will get you only two or three of those during your entire service. And since HL days accumulate gradually, it'll take all the longer for the first possible date for a week-long free period.

Or did longer vacation mean something beyond military completely?

Well, seeing that I received 5 KLs during my P-kausi and expect at least 3 more from AUK I, there may be more coming up. Although that's likely to happen only after AUK II/RUK, 'cause they're not too generous with granting HLs and KLs before that.

Not sure what I should be reading from the "expecting at least three more" bit, but if all five are so far unused, that'll give us a week, if you so choose to spend them. Is that week anywhere in the near future?

Nah. The bigwigs aren't too compliant with granting vacations 'till Christmas is gone by.

I reopened the game-thread. Is Thalin still with us?

Don't think so. I believe it's his turn to break down in the army.

Then Thurion becomes an NPC and we continue as we were. I say it's C's turn to post next, so do that when you like.

Will Aila make a character and join immediately, or do we start playing and meet her down the road after it's made and ready?

Some things:

1. Evidently we'll continue this game and Aila can make a character or take control of an existing one as she wills, when she wills.

2. I actually work now. Ropecon is coming and I am more-or-less preparing two games for it. I have a blog. I follow a large number of blogs. These all take time. I will limit my posting to at most one post per day.

3. Thalin is indeed in the Finnish Defense Forces. His character is to be turned into an NPC. This particular character is not particularly unusual to Thalin. He may or may not fit this game when he gets out of the army.

4. I'll need to read the entire thread. This will be a long (and potentially painful) exercise. It will also take some time (see point 2).

Yo need one of them Time Management Plans, man.

But one post per day suits me. Spares me the suspense of hanging around MSN or here for the sake of a hope of someone doing something.

Cryptic, are you still reading through the old pages or are you holding off posting for some other reason?
