haha lorrie i couldnt resist...
Sam and Dean sat in a smoky booth in a crowded diner. The chatter and noise was making Sam’s head pound and he silently cursed Dean for making him go out to eat.
Sam hadn’t explained the vision to Dean, as he didn’t really understand it himself, he was still shaken after seeing Jess’s death again after so long, he knew one thing, he never wanted to see that again. Sam wondered how he would discover who the man in the alley was, although it was a long time ago if there had been a supernatural presence in the alley Sam knew it would leave residues that the EMF should pick up, he planned to take a look in the alley as soon as Dean let him out of his sight.
Sam’s plans were interrupted as Dean’s phone rang. Dean picked up, “Hello”
“Dean its me, I…”
“Dad is that you?”
“Dean I need you to do something for me”
“Anything Dad”
“I need you to investigate something, there’s been a string of disappearances in Ohio, I need you to see if you can dig anything up.”
“Yes sir”
“Bye son” said John and he put the phone down.
Sam looked and Dean’s shocked face. “Dad?” he guessed
Dean nodded, “He wants us to go to Ohio to investigate some disappearances.”
“We don’t have to do what he says Dean, just don’t go” replied Sam simply
“But what if there are people in danger Sammy, we can’t just let them die.”
“I know” sighed Sam “Its just I hate taking orders from Dad.”
Sam got out his laptop and searched the FBI missing persons database, a newspaper clipping flashed up, along with a list of names of the most recent disappearances. Sam glanced down the names: Dustin age 17
Ashley aged 20
Jaye aged 15
Nothing seemed to connect the victims except they were of a similar age and lived in the same area. Sam sighed and moved on to the newspaper report, he skimmed through it with practiced ease, all the victims had disappeared at night and a trail of blood had been found leading up to a big standing stone at the edge of the forest, apart from the blood no evidence had been found. Sam closed the screen and pushed the laptop away, “There’s not much to go on Dean, 3 kids disappeared at night, left a trail of blood by a big rock and never seen again” Sam chuckled, he knew it wasn’t funny but he wasn’t in the mood for hunting, he just wanted to find out who the man was.
Dean decided they should check it out because it sounded like their kind of gig but Sam seemed reluctant to go. “Lets go Sammy boy, get in.” Dean said signalling the impala with his head.
Sam took a deep breath, “Dean, look man, there’s something I need to check out back in Kansas,” he paused waiting for Dean’s outburst but none came so he continued, “Ermm, well maybe I could go back to Lawrence whilst you check out those disappearances in Ohio,” Sam crosses his fingers hoping Dean would agree, but no such luck. “No way Sammy, No way am I letting you go off on your own to Lawrence, especially when you’ve had one of your visions, what if you have another one and there’s no one around to help you?”
“Look Dean I’ll be fine, I’m 23, you don’t need to be with me all the time, I can look after myself”
“What, like when you looked after you and Jess?” Dean knew that was uncalled for but he was angry that Sam wanted to go off on his own.
Sam paused, the strain showed on his face as he struggled to suppress his anger “Don’t you talk about her Dean, Don’t you dare.” a single tear rolled down Sam’s face as he turned away and picked up his bag.
“Sammy” Dean called into the night, but Sam had gone…
