The Emmys likes to pretend the CW doesn't exist. It's not just Supernatural that gets snubbed. All shows on the network seem to be ignored by the Emmy voters. I can remember when Gilmore Girls was on the air Lauren Graham got a lot of praise from critics who felt she deserved an Emmy for her work as Lorelai. But they all said she would never be nominated due to the fact that her show was on the CW.
I was hoping that Jim Beaver would be recognized for his work in the eppie Death's Door with a guest actor Emmy nom, but once again a CW show was snubbed. I've long thought that the show and the actors deserve Emmys noms, but there's a double strike against them. One they're on the CW and two SN is a sci-fi show and sci-fi shows hardy get recognized no matter how good they are.
