I have given it a B. I know the critics are entitled to their opinions regarding the plotlines, but it is purely down to whether you have the imagination capacity for the depth it has gone or not. Anything can happen in fiction and the Supernatural team, for me, continues creating where many writers would get a serious block and lack creative scope.
I am rewatching the whole thing as introducing my boyfiriend to it, just finished S1 and it is astounding the journey they have taken since John Winchester forfitted his own life for Deans bang at the beg of S2. In regards to Cas turning 'evil' ( which again is open for interpretation), I personally am a little heartbroken BUT I think it is an intergral risk and one that has paid off, as yet again it left me shellshocked. The same applies to the Lisa/Ben memory erasing, which made me cry - such was the acting from Jenson. When Sam jumped in to the hole last season, again it made me cry.
This along with Dexter has the ability to make me laugh, weep and screw my forehead simaltaneously. Season 7 will not disappoint, but I would respect it if it ended at that point.

B- was exactly what popped into my head when I saw this thread.
Strangely, I liked the first 11 episodes. Sure, Exile felt really weird, but I think it acheived what it needed to, to change things up because time had passed and things were different.
The first 11 set up the next half...or well, that's what I thought it was doing! # 12-18 were all over the place. Sure there were great moments like "Unforgiven", the "French Mistake", and the western eppie, but still, few things came together.
The Campbells proved to be as useless as season two's Roadhouse. Then the Mother was so miscasted as some flat affected teen that I kept wondering when she would shapeshift into a new meatsuit, but no such luck. She proves to be easy to kill. YAWN!
Finally we find that Cas is turning to the darkside and guess what? That's the truth, no twists, no surprises!
And Sam! Good god I do hope his personality returns in season 7! Coz to me, that's the real cliff hanger, not where is Sam's soul, but where is his personality????? And I consider myself a Sam girl!!!!
