Lol Dean is always rocking the boat...
But am very happy That Sam got his soul back... And that it didn't kill him in the process... But when death told him not to scratch at the wall in head, i thought hmmm this may not work because the evil Sam wants to be free... And am soo glad that Sam did not Kill Bobby.

I hope Death comes back for more episodes.I really like him as a character...

at this point we dont know what having the soul returned is gonna do to sam. i see most are happy about it...but what if for sam living in fear of whats behind the wall is worse for him that anything that could be behind the wall itself. that fear pushes him over the edge until he just collapses the wall and its anyones guess what that will do to sam. if he can physically or mentally survive it. or if the memories of hell torment him enough to turn him into some kinda monster. i hope sam will be perfectly fine. but i seriously doubt that this is gonna end up being a good thing.

well we will just wait and see, but as of right now I dont think anything will happen to Sam as long as he doesn't scratch the wall in his head. I'm glad that Death did all that because I wanted Sam to have his soul back, there were times I couldn't stand him by the way he was acting, so yeah I'm very happy Dean did all that

oh, dont get me wrong. i am too. i was with dean 100% when he told castiel no matter the fallout. sam needed his soul. i was just saying getting it back could still take the situation from bad...to far far far worse. i hope that doesnt happen but i am preparing myself for it considering all the warnings that were given by other characters. so many that even sam who cant feel fear was freaked out by having it back in him. i am sitting on the edge of my seat now until january 28th.

At this rate, I really doubt we're going to see anything really and horribly terrible from Sam or anything like that.
They show the preview and Sam looks relatively normal in it, if maybe a bit dazed. I'm not sure. Not cold and just...not Sammy like he has been looking lately.
I also think that Sam is A LOT stronger than most people give him credit for.

Also, when Death pulled his soul out of that black bag of his, it was glowing bright, clear and beautiful. There wasn't a speck of darkness on it. It might be damaged, but that doesn't necessarily mean that it has to make him crazy or a drooling mess or demonic. smile.gif Besides that. They've promised us the return of the brotherly love and things getting better between Sam and Dean. Things can't get better if Sam is a mess to that extent, right? wink.gif

*edited to add spoiler tag - No spoilers in here please.

I think getting the Soul back was physicaly painful for Soulless Sam. Death reminded me of a Doctor in that scene, standing by the patient's bedside with his doctor's bag. I felt bad for Soulless Sam there, and will feel bad for Sam, but I think this had to be done, because otherwise, Sam would still be suffering in hell. And how is that in any way better than what Sam might suffer on earth, even if it is terrible?

I also belive that the lack of Sam's Soul was meant to show us how important it was for Sam's entire Being.

Adams body should have never been returned the boys burned it at the end of Jump the Shark in Season 4. There was no bady for Cas to resue in Season 5. The writters messed up.

I always figured that since the angels needed Adam's body for a vessel, they re-constructed it through the ashes, so Castiel was able to grab a body after all. I mean, they fixed Dean's mangled body after he was attacked by hell hounds. Bobby said his chest was ribbons, his insides were slop.

First of all welcome Peggyc smile.gif

And it was sort of a plot hole but with Supernatural, they normally just explain it away wink.gif But you are right, there wasn't a body for Cas to pull up.

As to Sam's soul being returned, I don't think we'll see much of an affect externally, but I do think we may see some affects emotionally. Especially if he knows about the 'wall'. I know I'd be worried about what would happen if it didn't hold blink.gif

As to death coming back, it is possible since he is the one who kind of set the boys on their new mission - find out what is happening to the souls smile.gif

Actually they address it in season 4 when Dean comes back. He and Bobby talk about how Dean was all torn up by the hell hounds, and even without that, dead for 4 months should have had Dean looking like a "thriller video reject". His 'respawn' was basically credited to Cas, meaning that the Angels can restore people.

And we know Zach can do it to since he put Sam and Dean back together at the end of Sympathy for the Devil. Seems like the only time Angels can't Florence Nightengale is when they're cut off from heaven the way Cas was.

Those are pretty much my thoughts too, Jamieo.
