Is Sam Still Sam?, Sam

The way the last episode had Sam "appear" and the street light flickered a bit... it made me wonder if Sam is really Sam or the devil? Remember Sam was Lucifer's vessel. So when Sam went to hell, did Lucifer come out in Sam's body? Or is Sam still Sam? I can't wait to find out!

Phew! That's a relief! I hate waiting though! I wish we could know now!
This has been a loooong wait!

Just watched exile on main st, and i must say, the two tests sam does doesnt really convince me to much. My one and only argument is..

When Dean tells Sam that she should be hunting, and offers the keys to the Impala..
Sam just said he wished Dean was with him, but declines saying hes got his car set up the way he likes...

Now just a hunch, but couldnt he be saying no if he was still Lucifer? Knowing that can give Sam control again? Just struck me a bit odd. Anyone else feel that way?

Well I am yet to see it yet, but the apocalypse storyline is over so I doubt they'd bring back Lucifer. However... maybe Sam still has remnants of Lucifer inside?

will i hope not but if so dean well tack Cary of it, like always when he,s younger bro need,s hem. cant what tell next week.

I know this is weird to say (just watched my copy of the premiere! ) maybe Sam has... grown up a little. Maybe he isn't so attached. He'd like Dean there, but he doesn't need him - he's his own person now instead of a brother.

He seemed like he'd accepted being away from Dean - like he was healing/healed and managing well on his own. So maybe he rejected the Impala because he's left that part of him behind - it isn't significant to him anymore?

I don't personally think Lucifer's going to crop up again any time soon (sadly!), I think maybe just Sammy isn't Sammy. He's Sam. (If you get what I mean)

I think Sam is still Sam... Hell can change a guy.... Just like Dean changed when he went to hell, Sam did too. But am reallly looking forward to hear what happened to him in hell and what he saw...

I doubt that Lucifer is still in him but Sam did seem a lot different. Like even more different then just-got-out-of-hell different. He seems cold almost emotionless. I think that it could be a possibility that having Lucifer maybe burned away (or froze lol) a bit of his humanity.

Or maybe it's Sam's way of dealing with everything that happened to him... Dean got nightmares and started drinking... Sam locks everything up inside him so tight he comes across as cold and emotionless...

I don't know... but somehow he seemed to reach out to Dean in this episode, like he needed him... it not directly visible in his face or whatever, but something in his eyes... when he was hugging Dean, his eyes had the most content look in them I saw the whole episode in Sam...

I think Sam knows that what he is doing isn't good, but needs Dean to break through it... I don't see Sam opening up (when he is ready) to any of the Campbell bunch... to Dean on the other hand... when the time and place are right, I think he will open up...

I don't think it is lucifer either, I think Sam is different now because of what he experienced in the worst corner of hell..

Im glad im not only one who noticed this sam was def not himself, like someone said very emotionless and detached, i was thinking myse hes posesse dor whatever but..i think it makes more sense that it burned away his hukanity or mybe part of his soul is missing. hell, sam was more happy to see dean when castriel ressurected him. but he was all "hey hi dena tris been a year and oh btw youv been infected" so cold and way way too casual for my liking. I hate this sam ands i hate hes b ecoming his won person its like there not even brothers

Sam said to Dean that he woke up on the field where the fight was in the middle of the night.


Yet at the end of S5 it seemed like he teleported (which is why the light flickered). At least, that's the impression I got.

What's the alternative? He walked over to the house from the field, and when he got to the house the light flickered?? Doesn't make sense. Maybe a plot error? Maybe Sam is some sort of spirit?

He definitely isn't that attached to his bro anymore. He barely even blinked when Dean said he was gonna stay with Lisa & Ben.

I think Sam turning down the impala was just his secret way of saying "your gonna need to use it again sooner or later".
He is different though..it's like he's developed a deliberate personality to shut himself out from being close.
It's kind of weird how the brothers seem to have switched personalities from the first season..but if i had to guess i'd say some sort of deal was made to get Sam out of hell, Don't know by whom but i bet thats why the monsters are acting so differently ie warewolves attacking on a half moon....AND i'm guessing Sam knows more about why it's happening than he's letting on.

Who cares? How many times are they gonna do this storyline? Maaan . .
