As I'd seen an ad for Nikita airing on Living in October I sent an email to LivingTV to confirm that they would be showing Season 6 and if they'd give me any idea when. This is the answer I received back.

Thanks for your email.

We can confirm Supernatural season 6 will air early next year ,

unfortunately we cannot give specific time or dates yet.

Kind regards

LivingTV.

Great news that they brought the rights to season 6 & hopefully we won't have to wait too long for it to air..

I know I'm just waiting to see what the purchase of Living by Sky is going to have on the tv guide as in the new year they're rebranding the channel and moving some of the Sky 1 shows to Living..

Really? I'd not heard about that! Living belonged to Virgin previously didn't it? I'd noticed a lot of the shows on Virgin One were being moved to Living recently. Hmm. Interesting. It'd be nice if we got SN within days of US broadcast like everything on Sky One - oh, and everything else Living shows!

I emailed Living last week, and they're still saying they don't have a broadcast date for season 6 yet, but it's 'in the new year'.

Yes, earlier in the year Sky and Virgin media made a deal. This resulted in a lot of the Virgin channels being brought by Sky. Living was one of these - Sky is planning on re-branding it early in the new year and moving it to the slot currently used by Sky 2 (channel 107)

Sky and Living TV Deal

Sky to rebrand Livingtv

This is probably why they can't give us a definite date for the release. I do know that Bones is moving from Sky 1 to Living in the new year. So if they keep Supernatural past season 6 then hopefully it'll get the same treatment as Bones, NCIS LA etc..

Oooh that actually sounds quite hopeful! I wonder if that's because they see Bones as a 'women's' show? If so, does that mean they'll see SN as a 'men's' show and move it to Sky 1?? laugh.gif I'd actually love to see SN on Sky 1, but I suspect they'll probably keep all the sci-fi on Sky 1 and the "paranormal" stuff on Living.

Weird, I never really picked up on it before, but I just watched something on Sky 1 and they were advertising Living shows! That never struck me as odd before!

I just read up a bit, and they're getting rid of Virgin 1 (Channel One) and Bravo, which could explain why Living are now showing Chuck and White Collar. I wonder where Leverage will end up...?

I hope they keep the Living HD channel though - I was looking forward to seeing Sam and Dean in HD!

Well I was thinking it all sounded good till I had a little panic about Living suddenly having all these new shows (Bones, White Collar, Chuck etc) and a 25% bigger budget and deciding to stick Supernatural on at 3am on a Tuesday or something because they no longer had room for it in prime time!

Of course then I realised Chuck isn't even in their top ten and season 5 of SN got higher ratings than their current top two shops, Ghost Whisperer and Nikita. And then I stopped worrying. wink.gif

There's still nothing on Living's site confirming the date. But I suppose with all the Sky takeover upheaval they're waiting for their relaunch before they overhaul their website!

Suddenly occurred to me that Bones is now on Living on Wednesdays at 9pm. So maybe SFX was just guessing? Or it's on after Grey's Anatomy at 11pm??? (Which would SUCK!)

I had read somewhere that Supernatural Season 6 would be returning to Living sometime in February.
If I remember last year it was around the same time.
I know that Sky are moving around alot of programmes as they have taken off the Bravo Channel and are removing Virgin's Channel one.

Sky seem to be moving a lot of shows to Living - Bones, Chuck, White Collar - from Sky 1, Virgin 1 and Bravo, but they don't seem to be moving anything to Sky 1. Which makes Living a little bit crowded and makes me worry for SN's timeslot on the channel. We used to have to wait until April or May for Ghost Whisperer.

Having said that, SN was always in the top three ratings-wise for Living, so hopefully the new Sky bosses will take note and not dismiss it as a show for teenage girls!
