And I loved seeing Protective!Dean back again too. That's always been my most favourite flavour of Dean. wub.gif

Well, god forbid they be anything else to Dean besides Protective!Dean!!!! rolleyes.gif I think certain fans can't stand the thought of Dean being his own person he hads to stay Sam's servent or they wont like him. dry.gif

The need to keep Sam safe was a huge driving force for Dean in the first 3 seasons and still is part of his make up. His love for family has always been his most endearing quality to me, and Sam has been his only family for quite some time. Why take an innocent comment about protective Dean and try and make it something it isn't. Whether you like it or not Sam is still incredibly important to Dean as Dean is to Sam. Its what I love most about both brothers, their love for each other. Its not a bad thing.

I agree, Bree! It's a very good thing. highfive.gif

I'm lovin' that both boys have recently again demonstrated how important the other is, how much of what they do is to protect their brother. It is one of the most endearing qualities about them, that they care so deeply for their family, and now that it is only them, they are more than ever desperately trying to hold on to their brother. I loved hearing Sam talk of wanting to protect Dean, that Dean was struggling right now, not himself and he only wanted to pay back all the times Dean protected him.

There are many flavors and traits to both boys, but as we discovered in the Sam thread, while we may love all the facets of their personalities, different fans connect more deeply with certain aspects of the Winchesters' qualities.

And as a fan who feels a deeper connection to one brother, I think we all relate to the bond between the brothers and how that plays out in relation to our fav bro. It doesn't mean in any way that we discount the other admirable traits of the other brother or that we fail to find compassion for the aspects that challenge them.

These are complicated guys and we love all of them, even when they falter and of course, most admirably, when they rise above the challenges and do their heroic bits.

So much yummy goodness in this episode, and it truly does show how amazingly talented everyone involved with Supernatural is. Brilliant script, great directing and amazing acting from J & J down to the guest stars. cloud9.gif

More, please, Mr. Kripke! tongue.gif

I just have to say, props to whoever had to make all those books. I mean 60 books that are probably mostly gibberish but the cover art is awesome! I would buy them, even if they were full of nothing.

after the angels and demons, now we have prophet...
it's funny to see Dean and Sam act like fans of themselves...and the other girl that is a real fan!
the strange thing is that no one found relation between the characters and the real Sam and Dean: ok there wasn't the surname in the book but with all the people they met...it's strange.
as usual, I don't like the diisagreemente between the brother, Sam that says "Dean needs help"; I don't think he needs help, he only needs to be understood and Sam, more than others should understand him.
In any case, I liked this ep very much

I've read through this thread and am wondering if anyone has been able to determine exactly what Chuck saw at the end that Zach didn't want him to tell the boys. I've watched it many times but am unable to tell what he saw.
Also, has what he saw actually happened so far?
Thanks to anyone who knows.

Well, after seeing the whole season, I'm thinking Chuck knew Zach was not rooting for the good team.

That episode is probably my favorite so far (in the 4 first seasons). Since i'm quite used to fandom, I think its awesome that the writers or anyone kinda acknowledge it. And I don't mean the usual: i wouldn't be where I am today without my fans! thing. Not that they don't mean it, but... well, difficult to explain i guess.
