And a great star fell from the sky…
We track the meteor as it enters Earth’s atmosphere and begins to break apart.

EXT. NEW YORK CITY- STREETS
Angle up towards the sky to see the meteorites approaching…
SUAZO (O.S.)
Burning like a torch…
Dean and Sam stand amidst the crowd looking up towards the sky above. Dean looks at Sam asking if he’s ready, Sam gives Dean a look of reluctance. Dean nods his head understandingly.

FLASH CUT:
INT. IMPALA
Sam looks out the window, zoning out. Dean looks at his brother…
DEAN
What is it?
SAM
Hmm?
DEAN
Come on Sammy, I know that look something’s on your mind.
Sam shakes his head no.
SAM
It’s nothing.
Sam looks down toward the mark on his arm.
DEAN
No, tell me.
SAM
It’s just… why would Dad call us out of the blue like this? Tell us to grab our things,
leave a hunt, to go visit him in New York City.

DEAN
Go
visit him? Sam, Dad needs our help. He sounded urgent. He sounded
scared, and that right there is the reason why we’re going. Name the last time Dad was scared, and I mean really scared. Something’s up, something’s going to go down. And when it does I want to be right there by his side backing him up one hundred and ten percent.
Sam nods his head.
SAM
How much further?
Dean sighs and looks at the clock.
DEAN
Ten hours.
SAM
It’s going to be a long drive.
Sam sighs as he rubs his eyes…
SAM
Let me know when you want me to drive.
DEAN
Let you drive?
SAM
Yeah, why?
DEAN
Nothin’ just… with me it’s ten. With you behind the wheel it’s more like fifteen.
SAM
That’s because I’m
safe.
DEAN
Whatever you say
grandma.
Sam laughs and shakes his head.
FLASH CUT:
INT. NASA- OBSERVATION ROOM
13:00:00
NASA employees sit in a room overlooking a giant map of the solar system. Twenty cubicles, at least, are in the room paired ten on ten straight down the middle. An EMPLOYEE stands up.

EMPLOYEE
Sir, you better come take a look at this.
KELLERMAN stands up and approaches the employee…
KELLERMAN
What is it?
EMPLOYEE
I don’t know sir…
Kellerman leans close in towards the radar screen.
KELLERMAN
It can’t be.
EMPLOYEE
What?
Kellerman sees the dot moving through the radar screen. Not wanting to believe his eyes.
KELLERMAN
That’s impossible…
Kellerman glances behind his back, terrified.

KELLERMAN
I need to speak with the president. IMMEDIATELY!
FLASH CUT:
EXT. GEORGE WASHINGTON BRIDGE- MORNING

INT. IMPALA
Dean looks out over the immense traffic and scowls.
DEAN
God damn I hate New York City traffic…
Dean lowers his window and leans his head out.
DEAN
Move it or lose it jerk, come on- we can’t be waiting here all day!
Sam equips the cell phone and dials a number.
SAM
Dad, we’re here.
FADE TO:
EXT. NEW YORK CITY- STREETS
John stands amidst a busy New York street on his cell phone.
JOHN
Good, I want you boys to meet me at the diner off fifth…
John looks to his side and we see a very small quaint diner.
JOHN (O.S.)
Come as soon as you can.
We slowly pan in to see Dean, Sam and John sitting at the diner by the window.
TRANSITION TO:
INT. DINER
Dean and Sam look at their father waiting for him to say something… anything…
John breathes out as he looks out the window, not knowing how he’s supposed to break the word.
DEAN
Dad, what is it?
John looks back at his sons.
DEAN
What did you need our help with?
John shakes his head no.
JOHN
I just wanted to see you and Sammy again…
A cold shiver runs down their spines, Sam leans forward.
SAM
Dad… what is it?
John takes a deep breath.
JOHN
It’s coming son.
DEAN
What’s coming?
JOHN
A meteor.
SAM
The meteor?
John nods his head.
JOHN
Suazo calls it the third trumpet to signal the coming apocalypse.

DEAN
Third trumpet?
JOHN
In the bible, there are four trumpets blown to mark the Multus Tempestas. The first two already came and went. 9/11 and Katrina.
SAM
And the third…
JOHN
“A burning star will fall from the sky, blazing like a torch.”
They sit there stunned in an awkward silence.
JOHN
The end of days… It’s here.
Dean takes a deep breath and looks to his father for support.
DEAN
When?
JOHN
In a matter of hours.
Dean leans back…
DEAN
(under his breath)
Oh God…
SAM
I can’t believe it’s happening.
JOHN
Neither can I. But, I need you boys here by my side at ground zero when the time comes. We need to save as many lives as we can.
Dean and Sam look to their father for support, John leans forward.
JOHN (CONT’D)
This war, it’s bigger than all of us. But, together… as a family we can conquer anything. I’ll be right here by your side throughout the whole thing.
Dean looks at his father troubled, John nods his head motioning that everything will be alright.
INT. OVAL OFFICE
9:00:00
PRESIDENT JOHNSON looks out of the window, arms folded behind his back. Vice President REYNOLDS stands in the back of the room looking at the president through narrowed eyes. Kellerman enters the office. The President turns around…
PRESIDENT
What’s the progress?
KELLERMAN
We have a plan. But, I don’t know if it’s going to work. It’s a long shot at best.
PRESIDENT
What about an evacuation?

Kellerman shakes his head no.
KELLERMAN
Sir, if we don’t stop it. You won’t need an evacuation plan. It would be too late.
The president solemnly nods his head; he glances towards his secretary MARGARET.
PRESIDENT
Margaret, alert the press. I’m going to address the nation about the oncoming crises. The people have a right to know.
Margaret nods her head okay and leaves the office. The President looks back and forth between Kellerman and Reynolds.
PRESIDENT
Can you please give me a minute alone…
Kellerman and Reynolds leave the office. The President looks back out the window and takes a deep breath…
INT. KATE’S APARTMENT
5:00:00
Dean looks out the window, Kate glances over towards him curiously.
DEAN
My Dad used to tell me stories about the war. The Book of Revelations. The final war, the war to end all wars…
KATE
Dean, what is this about?
DEAN
It’s here Katie.
KATE
The end of days was just a story…
DEAN
No. It’s not. It was preparing us for what was to come. The ancient battle between good versus evil… have you ever heard of the four trumpets?
KATE
Yeah, why?
DEAN
The first… 9/11. The second Katrina. The third…
Dean looks up towards the sky.
DEAN
The meteor that the scientists predicted a while ago was on a head on collision for Earth. It’s only a matter of hours away.
KATE
A falling star…
Dean nods his head.
KATE
This doesn’t make sense though, wouldn’t NASA have picked it up by now?
DEAN
I don’t know. But, it’s the truth, straight from the Vatican.
Kate shakes her head as she tries to catch her breath.
KATE
This is absurd.
Kate drops down onto her sofa and reclines her head. Dean sits down next to her.
DEAN
Yeah… I have difficulty believing it myself. Never thought it would happen, at least not in my lifetime.
Dean and Kate look at each other longingly and begin to hold hands as the television switches over to a live presidential feed.
DEAN
Wait… turn up the volume…
INT. MOTEL ROOM
Sam watches the television set seeing the President staring towards the screen, frightened.
PRESIDENT
My fellow Americans it comes to great disappointment for me that I have to break this news to you…
Sam stands up and hurries out of the motel room.
INT. MOTEL HALLS
Sam looks down the halls seeing John getting two cans of pop from a vending machine.
SAM
Dad! The President is on…
John nods his head okay and hurries back into the room.
INT. OVAL OFFICE
The President continues his address…
PRESIDENT
Yesterday at twenty-one hundred, my men picked up a signal. As some of you may know a meteor has been circulating around in the atmosphere for quite some time now…
INT. KATE’S APARTMENT
Dean and Kate look towards each other for support. Close up on their hands coming closer together with a tighter grip.
PRESIDENT (O.S.)
I don’t know how to tell you this…
EXT. TIMES SQUARE
People in Times Square look up towards the huge television screen displaying the presidential address…
PRESIDENT (O.C.)
But, it’s on its way. It will be here in only a matter of hours. I have a dedicated crew working on a way to try to rectify the problem at hand. I can’t tell you if that will be a success… But, I can tell you what will happen if it isn’t.
A father holds his two small sons firmly.
INT. BAR
The television set is on and everyone’s attention is turned towards it.
PRESIDENT (O.C.)
The meteor is the size of Texas. The same size as the meteor that wiped out the dinosaurs… We are facing a possible extinction of the human race.
EXT. VATICAN
Establishing shot of the Vatican.
INT. SUAZO’S ROOM
Father Suazo is in his room watching the Presidential address, a look of deep concern on his face.
PRESIDENT (O.C.)
I can’t tell you to evacuate. Doing so would do nothing… there’s no escaping it.
INT. MOTEL ROOM
Sam looks towards his father for support, John places a hand on his son’s shoulder.
PRESIDENT (O.C.)
The only that you can do is get indoors and be with your family while you still have time.
INT. OVAL OFFICE
PRESIDENT (O.C.)
And pray.
The president takes a deep breath and nods.
INT. KATE’S APARTMENT
Dean and Kate continue to watch the television as the presidential address ends. They both look awestruck.

EXT. TIMES SQUARE
Angle down to the faces of hundreds of scared and worried citizens knowing that in a couple of hours they’re world could come to an end.
