Syri suggested doing a challenge with traditional art--no Photoshop or anything on computers--so here it is. smile.gif

The Challenge:

Create a promotional poster using traditional art media (for example, pencil, ink, paint, pastel, chalk, charcoal). The poster may promote a specific Supernatural episode, or the series as a whole.

Requirements:

1) Size -- at least 8.5 x 11 inches (standard printing paper)
2) Include Dean, Sam, and at least one creature, demon, or baddie from the series.
3) You may re-create a scene or figure from a screen-shot, but it must be your own work.
4) Include the text "Supernatural" somewhere on the poster and a tagline that's been used with the series, or you may make up your own tagline.
5) You may not use a computer to create any part of your image or for touch-ups.

How to submit your work:
1) Take a digital photo of your work or scan it into your computer.
2) Host it somewhere online like Photobucket or ImageShack.
3) Then post a thumbnail and/or link to the image in this thread.

Deadline: Friday, July 13 witch.gif

If you have any questions, please send me a PM.

This sounds great I can't wait to see what people come up with. I can't draw worth a crap, I rely on the computer for my graphics, lol. I'm in awe of people that are artistic enough to do this.

Good luck everyone!

I get the cheapest acrilics/oils/pastels i can get my hands on, i find them easier to work with than the more expensive ones, mostly i'm not so worried about using alot, or making mistakes laugh.gif

I'm sure like me you have a secret stash so secret you've forgotten where you've hidden it wink.gif

I spend more on the tools wink.gif (brushes/craftknifes etc...)

hope you can get some more smile.gif

Hmm... This sounds like a good 'kick in the butt' for me to get back to my roots, so to speak. I haven't freehand drawn in so long... And that is how I started. tongue.gif I guess I'll see if I can still do it. I've been meaning to get back to freehand. wink.gif I look forward to seeing what everyone comes up with!

And JeNsEn#no1, fantastic work! biggrin.gif biggrin.gif

actually, YES! I did find a secret stash! found it in my bottom drawer under my old sketch book!

I'm a bit of a teacher's pet, so my art teacher let's me use whatever i want from his room, so I don't pay for most of my stuff; but it's summer, and a single prismacolor is nearly 2 bucks!

Actually, they aren't paint; I'm aweful at painting! laugh.gif I draw; i was talking prismacolor pencils, but Prismacolor makes paint to.

for anyone who's never had that experrience, let me explain; Prismacolor is the Gucci of colored pencils, in quality AND price! laugh.gif

Oh wow, all y'alls works are really good. I think I'm a bit intimidated to try it now laugh.gif I've only ever drawn a few things, and all were of the same inspiration. I've never tried anything else, but I may try this. But if I don't, it's definitely an interesting one I'm gonna keep my eye on.

Good luck to all who enter biggrin.gif

I would KILL for some prisma colours of any sort! But the price...ouch....I couldn't eat for a month! laugh.gif
I've seen sets of markers for over 100$
But....I do believe I might take a stab at this contest....though I feel totally unworthy, knowing that there are some big names in this tongue.gif ( And the fact I have cheap dollar store pencils)
