Hey everyone I decided to add another chapter really quick and I will get started on chapter three. I might get it posted I'm not sure. I will see how it goes. I'm glad that everyone is enjoying it so far. I've had a lot of complaints about Dean coming back a zombie and acting like the characters from Stephen King's Pet Cemetery. I have to tell you that things are not always as they appear. Please just give me a chance to write to that part of the fan fic and I promise you will understand! I know in the summary of the The Gift for this it was saying Dean would come back that way, I've been doing some thinking about how Dean is going to come back. No he isn't going to be the same (Sorry to spoil it a little bit for everyone) but he is going to be more than the shell of who he used to be. You will understand when I get there I promise. I still have a little ways to go before I get there though. So just relax and enjoy the ride until then. I promise if you stick with it, you will be surprised and probably like it. I like it already and I haven't even gotten there yet. LOL. Thanks so much for all the wonderful comments and support so far! I really appreciate it.
Storm_Lover13--Well Dean isn't going to be a monster so to speak. He will be different but that is all I'm going to tell you. Bringing a guy back from the dead can change them. I'm glad that you enjoyed this first chapter, and I understand about getting lost. Thanks for the comment!
Jenn--Yep I know the drill. Did I update soon enough for you? I'm sorry that you were crying and then cried again after you read that other fan fic. But if it makes you feel any better Dean is coming back and won't be all Pet Cemetery on everyone. Is that a good thing? Thanks for the comment!
Bethany--That is a good idea to have constant supervision. You have a tendency to die a lot which can't be a good thing. I'm glad you didn't go to the light because Dean isn't there. Well he won't be very much longer anyway. So you would be stuck in the light without some hot guy to comfort you! So it is a good thing you stayed away! I'm proud of you. Thanks for the comment!
Shannon--Like I said it isn't going to be like Pet Cemetery so I'm glad you're going to stick it out. Dean won't be dead for too long I promise. Yes he will be different but he won't be going after Sam and trying to kill him or anything. He will still be the same lovable Dean that we all know. He will just have something that he goes out to take care of at night. I promise you will like it. Thanks for sticking with me. I'm a huge Dean fan as well love the big brother thing going on. It makes him so freaking hot! So ask me honestly do you really think I could be that cruel? I'm a bitch I admit but not the biggest bitch in the world. I've got big towels if you still need them. Let me know
Thanks for the comment!
JennieC--Awesome a new reader. I love hearing from new readers always a good thing! I appreciate every single comment I get so thank you! I'm glad that you like this fan fic so far even though I'm only on chapter two now. LOL. You are welcome for Bobby. Thanks again for the comment!
Cait--Sam is really smart that is why he is doing a deep search into this. Making sure that he has all the kinks worked out before he actually tries something. I'm glad that you are enjoying this fic so far and like I said Dean will NOT and I repeat NOT be a shell of who he was. He will be the same lovable Dean that we all care about so much. I love Dean way too much to turn him into one of those zombies from Pet Cemetery. You will understand later on in this fan fic. Thanks for sticking with me I really appreciate all the support. Thanks for the comment!
Now without further delays on with the show! Enjoy!
Bobby woke around nine and glanced over at the bed where Sam was still snoring softly. He stood slowly and stretched letting the stiff muscles in his back extend fully. The floor was not the most comfortable place in the world to sleep but he had had worse.
He walked over to Sam’s bed quietly, not wanting to wake the poor kid. Sam had literally been pushed into hell by his brother’s death and was desperately trying to claw his way back. He hadn’t slept very well since this had happened. Bobby knew because he was the one there comforting Sam when he woke up screaming for Dean.
Dean had left a huge hole in Sam, one that could probably never be fixed. Bobby brushed some of Sam’s hair away from his forehead and looked at the pale young man. The dark circles under Sam’s eyes spoke of how tired he really was.
Bobby scribbled a quick good bye to Sam and left it on top of the TV before gathering the few belongings he had brought in and walked out of the motel as quietly as possible. He would make sure to check in on Sam more often, he knew John never would.
John had been hurt horribly by Dean’s death, although he would never admit as much to Sam. He had taken off right after the funeral services without even saying good-bye. He hadn’t spoken to Sam the whole time he had been there. Bobby was sure that hurt Sam just as deeply as Dean’s death had.
John could be one selfish bastard sometimes, but Bobby figured that the stubborn hunter had his own reasons for not comforting his son. His only son. John was never one who liked to show emotions, always brushing them under the rug. Declaring them as signs of weakness. But Dean’s death wasn’t something that could just be brushed under the rug. It was killing John inside and because of that he had to stay away from his youngest. You can’t save others from drowning if you are drowning yourself.
Bobby gave the motel room door one last sad glance before getting into his truck and driving off. He would have to make sure that Sam stayed on the radar.
Sam’s exhaustion let him sleep for several more hours finally waking in the early afternoon. He blinked the sleep away from his eyes and looked around the now empty room. He had never felt so alone. Dean had always been there, or at least close by. Even hospital stays hadn’t been this lonely.
The pain of Dean’s death once again clutched Sam’s heart like a fist made of ice. He couldn’t stand the fact that he was alone, he didn’t like being alone. When he was alone he was vulnerable. He sat up in his bed and once again pulled the laptop up so that it was resting on his legs. He had to go over the details of each plan to see which way would be the best to bring his brother back. He wouldn’t be able to live with himself if he brought Dean back a monster.
As he scanned and crossed out each possible solution he was left with only three options. An ancient spell, magic or a wish. All three seemed really out in the dark but Sam was willing to give it a try. He just had to figure out how he could come in contact with a witch or gypsy. Those would be his best chance of getting his brother back in one piece, and in the same condition he had been in before the werewolf had exposed his racing heart to the open.
Sam gagged at the memory remembering just how badly wounded Dean had been. He wondered just how much pain had been in before his heart had mercifully stopped and he had drifted away. Too much, he had been in too much. Sam knew that Dean had suffered too much in the short time that he had lived through the traumatic experience.
Sam’s fingers once again began searching through the Internet, hoping to find some clue on where he could find a real witch or gypsy. Sometimes ads were placed to get some business and Sam was willing to try anything.
The first promising ad that Sam found was in Los Alamos, New Mexico. He stood up hastily and began packing his belongings into his bag not bothering about being neat. He was packed in ten minutes and grabbed both duffels. His own and of course his brother’s. Dean would need his duffel when he came back, and he would be back. Of that Sam was sure. He had a strong feeling in his gut that he would be seeing his brother again before too long. He couldn’t wait.
