Chapter 1
Knox stared outside the window, watching cars drive by and couples ;looking like ants, pushing baby strollers and carrying groceries, as they scurried by. He remembered when he was a kid, walking down the sidewalks of LA with his parents. No one had to live in fear as people do now. And he was the cause of them living that way today. After he was bitten, Knox turned the safe streets of LA into a place where people were even scared to roam. But that was just at night.
He closed his eyes and sniffed the stale air, picturing the innocent citizens who walk in the dark, not even knowing what was lurking behind the corner or that they were being hunted by something unimaginable. So much life he had took from people. Knox licked his lips, shuttering from the warmth and smell of their blood. He could hear them scream in his head, as he pictured his friends and him feasting on the weak, picking their new family, while draining the others. Lately though, his family grew less and less each day and he would find the cause of that problem if and put a stop to it once and for all.
Knox sucked in a deep breath as he opened his eyes. "Yes. There will be blood." Knox whispered, menacingly as he stared down at them when he heard a deep voice behind him.
"Knox." Zach called, stepping into the large dark empty room. He could still smell the blood from when they had their previous meals but of course Knox being the leader of the nest had to have first dips so they all went out during the night and brought someone back for Knox to pick which one he would drain and which one he turned. Only he didn't turn anyone. Zach had reminded him their numbers were low because of her but he didn't care. Frankly it angered him that Knox would let them die and not put someone else in their place. He would have.
Irritated from the disturbance, He turned to face the young teenager. Although Zach looked seventeen, he was actually over four hundred. years old. "Yes?" he asked.
Zach cleared his throat when he heard the vampire's voice. He knew never to disturb the man while he had his "alone times", but Knox did instruct him to tell him the location of the slayer, but how would Knox take the other news along with it? "I found them." he answered nervously.
Knox's eyes perked up and he smiled. "Where are they?" he questioned, eying his loyal friend devilishly. He fantasized of torturing the slayer in so many different ways, and every imaginable way was just as gruesome and painful as the first. Killing slayers was every vampires dream, but he wanted her to suffer for what she did to him and he knew just how to do that.
Zach fiddled with his fingers before answering him. "They are alone." he assured him.
"Then what seems to be the problem?" Knox roared, hearing the shakiness in the young vampires voice. He could even smell it. His eyes narrowed hard on him, waiting for an answer. This man was really testing his patients and he didn't like that.
"Two people are coming and I thought you should know who they are." Zach went on.
Know stared at him for a second. He got ready to demand the question but turned toward the window. "Who?" he asked.
"The Winchesters."
Knox flinched at the name. "Round up the boys. This time they will not have a chance. Their world will fall, as to ours will rise!" he shouted, as a personal issue came back to him, involving his family and the hunters. So, the winchester's and the slayer working together. Interesting!
Zach headed out, leaving Knox all alone in the dark, once again. "Patients my slayer. I told you we'll meet again and fate hasn't disappointed us." he whispered, before joining Zach and the others. A wicked plan he had and would share with the new world soon.

Dean roared his 67' black Impala toward the Burks motel. "So, what did Ellen say?" he asked his younger brother.
Sam flipped through old articles of unexpected deaths. "Not much. Just that something big is gonna go down in LA due to all the deaths that city's been having lately." he told him.
"Thank you caption obvious, now tell me something I don't already know." Dean said sarcastically.
Sam blew out a breath he was keeping in. "Well, I'm not sure. All these deaths have occurred for years, but the pattern doesn't make sense." Sam admitted. "It's just random killing."
Dean snorted. "Come on there has to be something." he whined, making a turn into a parking lot.
"Dean. I just don't have a lot to go on that's all. Ellen helped us out, but it wasn't enough." Sam explained.
"We hardly know this woman." he pointed out.
Sam eyed him. "You barely knew Gordan." he snapped.
Dean smirked. "Okay, what I'm saying is why don't we do this one ourselves?" he asked. "Or at least call Bobby." he added.
Sam shook his head. "Bobby's working his own case Dean." Dean grumbled, mocking his brother. "What does it matter anyway?" Sam asked.
"I don't trust the lady." Dean admitted.
Sam raised his brows. "Dad trusted her." Dean eyed him, his expression darker as he mentioned their dad. "Look Dean, if dad trusted her, I trust her."
He continued to glare at him. "And Jo likes you." Sam added, snorting.
"Yeah, yeah, yeah." Dean mumbled, pulling into a a parking space and cutting the engine.
"Do you like her?" Sam asked, grinning at how uncomfortable his brother was.
"What?" Dean looked at him, while pulling the keys out. "I don't know, maybe." he said quickly, opening his door and getting out. He looked back in at his brother. "Come on, move your ass Sam." Dean added.
"Jerk"
"Bitch", Dean yelled, as he started walking away from the car.
Sam smiled and frowned when he read the neon sign. "Dean." he yelled, from out his window.
Dean turned back to him and gave Sam two thumbs up, with a smirk. He turned and reached the heavy brown door, pulling it back.
Sam scoffed, shaking his head, as he undid his seatbelt and hastily got out of the car. Sam hurried across the parking lot and opened the door. "Dean." he hissed, trying to stop him, as his brother was weaving in and out of dancing girls, checking each of them out. He rolled his eyes and walked in, letting the door close behind him. Sam looked around and sighed, taking in the bar.
The lights were dim and the bar was crowded. Some couples played pool while others danced. He looked in disgust as a couple made out against the wall. Looking beyond them, he spotted a hallway, with two pay phones on the wall and looked up, seeing a restroom sign. There were booths in the back that looked more seluded then the rest of the bar so he knew he could probably get some work dne back there without being interrupted.
Sam headed toward the spot while he searched the crowd for his brother to let him know where he was. He figured Dean would be at the front of the bar buying drinks for them which Dean always assumed he'd drink but he never really did. So Dean would end up drinking his instead.
Slipping into the hall, he maneuvered around the drunks and couples, until he found the mens bathroom. Sighing, he walked inside and headed over toward the wall. Nodding at a passing man, he turned to the one wall, away from the other three men, protecting his privacy as he unzipped his pants. God it smelled like ass and beer in here.
Dean took the beers from the bartender and smirked at the two ladies, before turning around. He scanned the room for his pain in the ass brother, but frowned and shrugged, making his way to a table that wasn't so seluded. The table always had to be close to the bar. Dean sat down and took a swig when his brother came back. "Where were you?" he asked, seeing that annoyed look on his baby brother's face he knew all too well.
"I was in the bathroom." he told him, pulling out the seat out and sitting down. Sam took his beer and took a sip, surprising both himself and his brother. He placed it back on the coaster and started to pull out police reports like he normally does when Dean drags him to bars. Sure people close by would look over in passing but they normally would tell them they were police officers or detectives. Funny cover story, considering any police officer and detective would love to throw their asses in jail. "So we scope the town out tonight and...." he looked up and titled his head in annoyance as his brother raised his glass to a pretty girl near the bar. "Dean." he growled in annoyance.
Dean looked back over to his brother. "What?"
Sam shook his head and placed the reports on the table. Dean leaned in to look at them and back up to his brother. "You really know how to party."
Sam adjusted in his seat as he glanced around, spotting a beautiful young dark haired woman. Dean followed his brother stare and chuckled, turning back to him. "You should go talk to her, buy her a drink, give her your number."
Sam snapped his head back toward his brother. "What? No." he protested, shuffling through the reports. "Try to stay focus this time."
Dean dropped his head and sighed. "Fine, I'll go talk to her." he said, taking a long swig and getting up from the table. He winked at his brother ignoring the protests from him, before turning and walking toward the women.
Sam watched him walk away. "Dean." he whispered again, very agitated now. He didn't need his brother's help to talk to girls. He just wasn't that interested. Sam took the report and held it up to his face, pretending to read it, while he peered out over the edge.
****
"I'm so sick of guys trying to get in my pants." Faith told Nicole, as she sipped her beer. This was already her fifth one and the first four she drank faster so she was pacing herself this time. "They're always after the same thing."
"Well yeah, if you keep throwing yourself at them."Nicole stated, giving her the 'you know I'm right' look.
Faiths' mouth dropped. "I do not."
Nicole turned to her friend to face her. "Faith, yeah you kinda do. You just can't say no around men. Something about fighting always gets you hot and bothered."
"I can to." she snapped. "You do the same thing too Miss I forget his name." Faith pointed out.
Nicole only grinned, knowing that was true. She also knew why Faith was throwing herself at guys though and that was only because her boyfriend dumped her and she's been having a hard time holding onto a guy. But how could she between the fighting all the time? "Fine, I'll let that go this time." she told her as she stared around the room and spotted a man coming toward them. Oh great, she thought, then smiled at Faith. "Prove it." she said, slyly.
Faith stared at her and slowly turned, followign her gaze. Her eyes fell upon the man and she turned back, burying her face over her beer. "Can't I show you tomorrow?" she asked, feeling her cheeks go red. This guy was really cute too and she was scared she couldn't prove it but Nicole wouldn't let her keep making these mistakes.
Nicole leaned in close to her friend. "Too late." she whispered. Faith looked around the bar counter as she saw the shadow of the man get closer and closer, until his fingers reached the bar edge.
"Hi...." Dean started
Faith closed her eyes and bit down hard on her tongue. God, even this guy sounded cute. She opened them and glared over at Nicole before she hissed through her teeth.. "Don't even think about it buster." she warned.
Dean raised his eyebrows. "I wasn't thinking about anything." he lied, smirking from behind them.
Nicole leaned over her friend and glared at the man.. "We would like to be alone now." she said, politely, joining in on the fun but she also had to admit that this guy was a hunk.
Dean looked at Faith and back at Nicole. "I just wanted to buy her a drink." he admitted.
Nicole scoffed. "What do you think this is buddy. You think if you buy a girl a drink. you get a free pass in her pants?" she asked, irritated.
Dean's smile faded and he shook his head uncontrollably. "No, not at all." he told her. "You see my part-" he started to explain but he couldn't hardly get a word in because of Mrs Motor Mouth over here.
Faith twisted in her seat, stopping her friend's tirade to explain to him a few things he probably didn't even notice. "I already have a beer, so why don't you come by in 15 minutes and ask me again? Pray that I say yes." she told him, eying her friend before walking toward the dance floor.
Dean whistled and Nicole kept her stare on him. "She just broke up with her boyfriend pal." she told him, fibbing a little. Maybe a lot.
Dean tussled his jacket and grinned. "Then today must be my lucky day." he joked.
Nicole grabbed her purse and put a five dollar bill down on the counter as she stood up, eyeing the man up. She stepped back and smiled brightly. "You must not handle rejection that well, because if I'm not mistaken, that's what just happened." she scrunched up her nose as she walked around him, leaving Dean alone by the bar that that the hottest two babes were gone.
Dean stuck out his lower lip and turned to watch her. He looked around and saw his brother waving him over. Great. He grumbled to himself and walked back to the table, making no eye contact with his brother as he sat down. "That bad huh?" Sam asked, trying not to snicker.
"She'll come around." Dean said, holding up his glass, toasting to him and drinking the rest.
Sam rolled his eyes as he turned and watched the woman. He wasn't sure if it was his brother's rejection or the alcohol but he had an urge to go over there. "I'll be back." he told him, placing the report down. He stood from the table and walked through the crowd to where they were.
Dean looked up and watched him go.
***
Knox gazed into the young womans eyes. She was filled with pain. "Please don't hurt me?" she asked, begging for her life, as the blood rolled down her neck, onto her arms.
He grinned in amusement. The begging was always his favorite part. Knox wondered what would happen if he decided to let her live. Voices in his head screamed at him, telling him to kill her, to kill everyone and leave no survivors, but this womans pleas told him to let her go, let her live her life, along with her unborn baby. He stroked her cheek as he rested a hand on her round stomach. Eight months due and he could feel even more energy running through her blood. He needed to take the lives of them, along with LA.
If he was stronger and powerful, nobody could kill him. Knox scanned the streets. This was a different and powerful world, he thought to himself. Some doors were closed while they were meant to be open. "You haven't seen anything yet." he said, sinking his teeth in her flesh. Draining her, feeling the warmth enter his body. His muscles ached from still being weak. The sensation of killing someone made his head spin. He enjoyed it while it lasted. Knox pulled away and let her body fall to the ground. Running his hand over his mouth, he cleared the blood onto his arm and licked the rest. He never felt so alive, but he was waiting for one girl only. Faith Miller

Chapter 2
Faith was halfway to the exit, when someone touched her arm, making Nicole freeze in her tracks, as she watched with a grin on her face. "Excuse me." he said politely.
She turned around and looked up at the tall and handsome man, with brown shaggy like hair. She smiled and held her hand up. "I don't dance." she lied
He snorted and smiled at her. "Neither do I, but I wasn't asking." Sam assured her. "I'm Sam."
Faith frowned for a moment as she tucked some of her hair behind her ear. "Oh, sorry, I just assumed you wanted to." she admitted. "Faith." she added, quickly shaking his hand.
Sam took it and met her eyes. She stared up at him, getting lost in his brown chocolate eyes also, when Nicole bumped into Sam, causing him to bump into her. She shot a glare to her friend as Sam turned. Nicole pretended to look around and directed her attention on them. "Hey Faith," she paused at the hottie, standing next to her friend. "I'm sure she'll love a drink though." Nicole smirked, chewing on her straw, while looking him up and down.
Faith stared at her and waved her hand, when Sam looked between them. She smiled and scratched the back of her head. "This is Nicole. Nicole, this is Sam." she introduced them.
Sam shook Nicole's hand "Nice to meet you." his eyes caught Faith's again, making her blush. Faith bit her lower lip and found herself smiling back at him. He looked over at Nicole and then to Faith, when someone yelled for him across the room. Sam closed his eyes and turned toward his brother, over hearing the whispers about him from behind.
"What a jerk." Nicole huffed.
Sam laughed softly as he turned to face them. Nicole looked beyond him as the man from earlier started toward them. "Oh great he's coming."
"Nicole stop it." Faith playfully punched her arm. "You know you find him cute." Nicole just glare at her for saying and Sam smiled at them as he just shook his head. And, Dean still got rejected?
When his brother stepped up next to Sam. Dean raised his brows to the girls as he patted Sam on the back. "Great job Sammy."
"Do you know him?" Faith asked, looking at him curiously. Great job? Was this some kind of test because she hated tests.
Sam looked over to Dean and back to her. "He's my partner." he assured them both. After all they were still undercover and couldn't admit they were brothers just yet.
*****
Faith put on a smile as she shook Deans hand. Quickly pulling away she looked back to Sam. "How about that drink now?"
Nicole nudged her and gave her a curious look as she walked off with the taller man. She stood there and looked over at Dean, who watched Faith's backside. "Man you don't know when to quit do you?" she asked, crossing her arms. "Sending your partner in to land the girl. Pretty lame isn't it?" she asked him.
Dean looked at her and stepped forward. "Actually my partner is the one who likes your friend."
"Oh really?" she asked, raising her eyes.
Honestly, your friend isn't really my type." Dean confessed.
She grinned. "Then what is your type?" Nicole asked.
Dean smirked at her. "I can't really describe it. I'll have to show you."
Nicole almost spit out her cola. She started laughing uncontrollably. "Why would you think I'll be interested in you?"
Dean frowned. "Well for one I'm a PI." he lied.
She stopped and backed up. "Like a cop?" she asked, starting to get nervous.
Dean shrugged. "Sort of, minus the monkey suits."
Nicole blew out and started laughing. "A PI with a sense of humor. How charming is that?"
Dean stepped forward, when Nicole held up her hand, resting it inches away from his chest. "I don't have things for cops." she stated, flatly.
Dean stared wide eyed at her and tried his shy boy smile. "I'm off duty."
"Still," she whispered, walking around him. "It wouldn't be right hooking up with a PI." she told him, before walking off.
Dean turned and watched her head back toward the back. He looked over at a pool table and bit his lower lip, before catching up with her. "How about a game of pool?"
Nicole froze and laughed as she turned around to face him. "Don't you ever give up?"
"Not really." Dean replied. "But if I beat you at pool, you have to agree to go out with me."
Nicole stuck her tongue in her cheek, thinking this should be good. She was the best pool player around. "And what about If I win?" she asked.
"I'll buy you a drink." Dean shrugged, praying that she would take the bait.
"Alright." she passed him and sat her drink down on a table, as she started racking up the balls. Dean came over and grabbed two pool sticks from the wall, handing one to Nicole. She politely took it, leaned over the pool table and lined up the cue ball to break. "Oh by the way," she glanced up at him. "I'm a whiskey girl." and she shot straight down the middle, breaking the balls, as two solids went into the side pockets.
Dean only stared in awe, liking this girl by the minute. Sure they got off on the wrong foot, but things were slowly turning around for him. So he hoped.
*****
Faith spun around at the bar with her drink in her hand, as she stared out into the crowd. She found her friend with his partner over by the pool table. Guess she was interested in him after all. Faith rolled her eyes as she watched her friend knock two balls in. "Typical." she muttered under her breath.
Sam looked over at her. "Did you say something?" he asked, drinking his own beer.
Faith looked up to him and laughed, causing Sam to blush. "Sorry bout that. I got a little distracted." she confessed.
"It's alright, if you'd rather be over there I completely understand." Sam started.
Faith peered into his eyes. "No, I wasn't trying to be rude. It's just," she paused as she bit on her lip. "My friend seems to like your partner." she admitted, making it sound like that was a bad thing.
Sam looked over to the pool tables and smirked. "Is that a bad thing?" he asked her and she shifted uncomfortably. Actually it was. His partner Dean didn't know what he was in for.
"You know what," Faith started. "I should really get going." she stood up from the bar and smiled back at him. "Thanks for the drink though." Faith added as she started to head off.
Sam put down his drink and ran over to her. "Did I say something wrong." he asked, bumping into a woman. "Sorry." he said, when she turned around. The woman stood 5'6, with long brown hair and a velvet long red dress sporting a fur black shawl draped over her shoulders. Sam's brows flew up. A little dressed for this place, he thought. He met her face, that had way to much makeup on. "I guess I'm a little under dressed." he muttered, taking in her look. Her cheeks were a dark shade of reddish purple and her lips were coated in cherry red lipstick. The way she was eyeing Sam up made him nervous too. And when she asked if he came here often he just cleared his throat and nodded her way as he passed her.
"Faith." he called, seeing her exit through the side doors. Grabbing the handle, Sam looked back out into the crowd and saw the woman he bumped into head back into the back of the bar where her boyfriend was. He gulped meeting the mans glare and hurried outside.
Sam walked out into the brisk afternoon and checked both sides of the alley way. "Faith." he called, making his way down the alley. Leaves twirled in circles and were carried away by the wind as little debris rolled around on the ground. Sam started o take another step when he heard footsteps behind him. Feeling sweat roll down his face, he turned, throwing his arm out, only for the guy to catch it with incredible force and toss him aside like he was filled with just air.
Sam hit the wall and dodged his head to the side when the guy sent a punch toward him. He tried to look to see who his attacker was and caught a glimpse of his face. It was the man from earlier with the old fashion girlfriend, or he was the man from earlier. Something was wrong with his face. Sam's eyes widened as he started for his knife when the guy lifted him up by his shirt collar and threw him against the large dumpster. Sam hit his head as his knife slipped out of his jacket onto the ground. He tried to dive for it but the guy kicked it farther away from Sam and stepped on his hand, crushing it. Sam hissed out when the guy picked him up and shoved him into the wall, wrapping his hands around his neck..
Sam tried to fight him off but was slowly losing his breath and consciousness when someone grabbed the man from behind, pulling him off of him. Sam dropped to the ground, gasping for air and thinking his brother saved him but when he looked up, he saw it wasn't him. He watched in shock as the girl threw the vampire to the ground before it leaped to his feet and charged at her. Sam rubbed his neck and tried calling out for her but instead went into a coughing fit.
Faith dodged him when he came at her and she pulled out her small machete. He stared at it and glared at her. "You think by killing me, he won't come?" The vamp warned her and when he jumped at her, she swung her machete, decapitating his head from his body. She smirked and walked over to Sam's knife, picked it up for him and turned around to hand it back to him.
Sam just looked up at her as he verbally tensed, then back to the vamp. "So there really are vampires in LA" was all he could say.
Faith shrugged. "Not the reaction I was expecting." she admitted, turning to head off.
Sam took a second to recoil his thoughts before stepping over the vamp. "You're just gonna leave him?" he asked.
"That's the plan." Faith replied. "And how did you know vampires were in LA?" she wondered.
Sam furrowed his brows in confusion. "Because I'm...Wait, who are you?"
Faith turned as she saw Dean and Nicole come out of the building. Great! she thought as they saw the dead guy on the ground. They looked at her with two completely different expressions before Nichole spoke. "Vampire?" she guessed and Faith nodded.
"We must be getting close to him." Faith hoped and Dean mouthed something to Sam before going over to him.
"You okay Sammy?" he asked and Sam nodded, still looking at the dead vampire.
"I didn't kill him Dean." he admitted, shocking the girls. Why would they even say something like that and why were they acting so calm about it.
Faith and Nicole turned to the boys and Faith admitted that she did. "But who are you?" Dean asked, repeating his brother's question. Faith just glanced nervously at Nicole before her friend nodded.
Faith nodded herself and stepped froward, looking between the two men. "I'm a Vampire Slayer."

Chapter 3
Knox burst into the small apartment room. This was the last place where she was spotted. He looked to his minions as they checked through all the rooms. Knox sniffed the air for her scent as it was strong. He turned and walked to the farthest room and opened it which woke the guy up from his nap, who was living there.
The guy jumped up and stumbled backwards. He watched in shock as more guys poured in. His heart raced as he stared at them. He was about to ask what do they want, when Zach spoke up. "She's been gone for days." he told Knox.
Knox roared, which echoed throughout the little apartment. The scared guy covered his ears and caught the main guy's attention. "What do you want?" Mark asked, his voice trembling.
Zach started to head over to him, when an out stretched hand stopped him. He looked over at Knox and started backing off. He knew better then to challenge him. Knox never liked it when someone tried stepping up to him. He knew Zach and everyone else knew that. If they didn't they would know. He would make sure that it would never happen again. That's the main reason why he's in this disgusting city. That is why he after the girl, hunting her down. Ever since that day, she has been running from him, but he was always close behind, scoping her out, trying to find out her weakness. His mouth watered at the thought of finding her and killing her nice and slow. Screams of slow painful deaths was like music to his ears. With out thinking Knox's face changed form. He snarled at the guy in the corner, revealing his long fangs. He could smell her scent all over this place, including him. Knox stared in amazement as the guy ran down the hall and slammed his bedroom door, trying to block out the creatures that were invading his home. This was a fail attempt that he loved so much. He looked at Zach and motioned for them to stay back, to help only if he couldn't handle it. Knox laughed out loud. The chase is always his favorite part.
Smelling the fear from his prey was always a bonus. Knox spared their lives for a couple seconds, before he would sink his teeth in them. The screams from his victims usually blocked out all of the other noise around him, except for one part that always made Knox smile. The sound of their heart beating uncontrollably, before it stopped completely, indicating that there was no longer life in them. He knew once an innocent was gone, their was always a slayer not too far away, waiting to kill him and the creatures just like him.
Knox headed over to him, seeing the fear in his eyes. He wondering how he would kill this worthless human. A smile formed at the crest of his lips. Loosing an innocent is like a car crash that keeps pilling up, but killing an innocent is like when you learn how to walk. For vampires, it's all about the thrill of the hunt. For slayers, it's a responsibility to keep innocent lives out of danger.
Knox walked up to him and grabbed his throat, pushing him up against the wall. A lump formed in the younger scared man's throat. His breathing started to get heavy. A scream escaped the guy's mouth as he watched the change in his face. "Where's Faith." he asked.
Mark looked at him and to his buddies. "She's not here."
"Where is she?" he asked, squeezing his neck.
"I don't know." Mark coughed, trying to get loose. He met his pointed teeth. "What's up with your faces?" he asked.
Knox grinned as he sunk his teeth into Mark's neck. Knox felt his blood go cold and enjoyed the sweet taste of fear. He grabbed his arms and dug deeper, feeling the warmth of human blood pour into his mouth. He waited until the body went limp and pulled away. Knox knew one thing was true. A vampire's victim lyes in a slayers hands.
Knoz could have turned him and sent him after Faith but he didn't have enough patients for that.
****
"A slayer." Sam repeated.
Faith stared at him. That has been the only thing he could say in the last five minutes. "Can you please say something else?" she asked him, as she started to regret telling him what she was.
Dean patted Sam on the back. "Holy freakin' crap Sam. You found an actual vampire slayer." Nicole and Faith glared at him. The next sentence from Sam's mouth shocked the two women. " I thought vampire slayers didn't exist"
Dean hit him over the head. "What's wrong with you."
Sam grabbed his head and glared at his brother before looking back at Faith. "What I meant is I thought slayers always acted alone." he said, pointing to Nicole.
Faith looked back at her. "She's the only person who knows about me." Faith assured him.
"And now we know." said Dean.
Faith paced back and forth. "I don't even know why I told you guys." she yelled
"Yeah, I don't know why either." Nicole said, wondering herself.
"You didn't really have a choice." Sam reminded her, hitting Dean in the stomach.
I know." Faith said. "You probably have tons of questions now....wait, why did you say that?" she asked, eying him.
Sam looked at his brother, then to her. "Well you see, my brother and I are....."
"Wait, he's your brother?" Faith asked. "I thought he was your partner."
"Yeah I thought that too." Nicole said, crossing her arms. She felt like this was all some set up and she really hated that. Now she was looking at Dean like he was a past criminal. Only she wanted to kill him.
Dean smiled and started to explain when Sam spoke first. "We are. It's kinda like the family business."
"Exactly." Dean said.
Faith and Nicole looked at them like they weren't convinced. Sam sighed. "Look Faith, we won't tell anyone." he assured her.
Faith looked at him. "How can I be sure?" she asked.
Sam looked at Dean with that look like he wanted to tell them, but Dean kept shaking his head no. 'Come on' he mouthed
Dean smiled at the girls and pulled Sam backwards. "Sam, don't you dare tell them."
"I have to Dean." Sam told him, swatting his hand away and walking back to the girls.
Dean looked to his brother and piped up before he could get a word out. "Because people will think we're crazy." he stalled. "And they will." he added, looking angrier at his brother.
Sam looked back at him and Faith shrugged at Nichole. She really didn't have time for this and neither did Nichole. "Let's just get out of here." she told all of them but stopped when Nicole's phone beeped. Faith watched her friend go off to the side and looked back at the guys."You're probably right, but why aren't yous freaked over this?" she asked
"Believe us sweetheart, We deal with crazy everyday." Dean blurted.
Sam clenched his jaw and hit Dean. She looked at him weird. "Oh that's right, You're PI's." she laughed, getting paranoid for nothing. Before Sam could tell her the actual truth, Nicole gasped, causing them all to look over at her in concern.. "What's wrong?" Faith asked.
Nicole let the cell phone rest against her leg. "It's Mark. He's......" she trailed off as the stinging started to come back. Her stomach churned. How could she tell Faith. "Dead." she barely whispered out.
Dean glanced over at Sam. He was thinking the same thing. They both knew too well when a slayer was in town, a group of hungry undead Americans would be hot on her trail.
****
Faith took a couple more breaths. The aching feeling came back again. 'This can't be happening. Why him. I'm the one he wants. Why did I ever get involved with him. This is my destiny. My fate. Oh god please no. This can't be real. I can't loose him.
So many thoughts raced through her mind at the bar. Beer after beer. Swig after swig. She just wanted to forget about ever hooking up with him. She wanted to forget about this whole Slayer crap! Faith knew there was no way out, that she had to accept the one thing in her life that she could never turn down. She hated that she had to put other lives first before her own. If she could never be happy, at least millions of people would.
Faith didn't know what was fair about that. No thanks. Nothing. Saving lives wasn't all bad for her, but seeing the families together was the hard part of her job. Someone had to do it. Faith took another swig. Before her watcher brutally died, he told her a lot of things. Things she never thought was real. Things she never dreamed about.
Thinking about her watcher Stanley Lee Walker tore a hole in her heart. He was so strict, but with always good reason. She knew that it was never easy for a watcher. She wondered if he ever had dreams of his own. If he ever wanted to get married, have a few kids, buy an expensive car, and live in a big house. Instead he had to train her to fight the forces of darkness. She tightened her fist and almost cried out in defeat. Thanks to her, darkness took the only person who had high hopes for her. The only one who knew her other half. He put his heart and soul into training her and prayed that she would stop the threats that would keep coming. He knew by day she was known as Faith Miller, but by night she had a name that attracted evil. She was Faith The Vampire Slayer. Stanley always told her if she ever turned her back, evil would win. Images flashed before her eyes of the night of that certain conversation, where she knew once and for all, that there was no way out of this hell.
Faith sat in the cozy arm chair in her watcher's small apartment. "So what happens if you keep going?" she asked.
Stanley wiped his eyes with a cloth. "Well nothing happens, You keep going until you die, then another slayer will come." he replied.
"Oh, what about my family and friends?" Faith asked, in a squeaky voice.
Stanley's face said it all. Once you're a slayer, there is no such thing as family. He sat next to her, stroking her back, watching the girl cry. He didn't know how to make the pain go away. She should of had a chance at being normal. Stanley sat their cursing at the higher power whoever came up with this sick way of living. A person should never be alone, especially something like this. He tried to keep the tears down, for he had to finish preparing her. "Faith, we have to get you ready for...."
Faith broke away from him, causing Stanley to fall backwards from the impact. She stared directly in his face. "For my death!" She finished, a little out raged by the whole damn conversation that she started to regret having. Even she knew what was bound to be said. Saying it was way more startling then actually hearing it from someone else.
The room grew silent and stayed at peace before the front door flew open. Vampires ran in, as more of them broke through the windows. Faith looked around and found a dozen or more blood suckers standing around her. "I don't want to fight tonight boys." Faith told them but like always every vampire she told that too didn't heed her warning.
They replied, by showing their teeth and giving out a low growl. Faith looked over at her watcher. The color in her face drained to a paisley pale. The one vampire had a hold of her watcher under the throat with one arm while the other was pointing at her. "You will let this be a warning to you slayer." he roared. "Before my minions rip your heart out and dance in your blood." he added
Her eyes darted to the vampires around the room and her watcher. Stanley looked at her. "Faith. You are ready." he whispered. He knew his death was seconds away.
The vampire holding him fed on him like it was his first meal in months. Stanley heard Faith's screams and desperate attempts to save him. "The only way to win is to fight." he managed to get out before he went limp in the vampires arms.
"No. Who do you think you are?" Faith screamed.
The Vampire smiled, revealing his long fangs. "Call me Knox." he told her. Knox threw the body aside and advanced on her.
Dean looked at Sam and Nicole. "What the hell was that?" he asked, sounding pissed off. It wasn't to long ago when they all received the news that Mark was dead. Faith stood still before she threw open the door and left the three of them outside.
Nicole looked at him. "She just lost her ex-boyfriend to a vampire." she told him
"She never mentioned an ex." Sam said, raising his brow.
Nicole looked down and back up to the sky. "I think you should ask her about it."
Sam looked to his brother and to Nicole as he stepped in between them, heading toward the door. Once Sam disappeared behind the metal door, Dean glanced over toward Nicole. "What do we do now?" he asked, looking over at the vampire.
Nicole glanced over to the monster and back to Dean. "We use him as bait."
"Excuse me?" Dean asked. "He's dead." Dean reminded her.
"And vampires have a keen sense of smell when it's their own." she told him and saw him still looking at her like she was crazy.
"What, didn't you ever use a vamp as bait before?"
"No." Dean hissed out. "But I know someone who did." he muttered.
Dean looked out of his car, trying to find them and looked to where Sam and his dad were hiding before nodding and getting out. He slowly walked over to the hood and popped it up, looking inside. God he hated this plan. Why did he have to be the bait? Dean smirked when he heard the woman's voice. Oh that's why.
"Car trouble." Dean turned around and smiled at her, checking her over. 'Let me give you a lift, take you back to my place." she smiled up at him.
Dean smirked and thought about it. "Nah, I'll pass, I usually draw the line at necrophilia."
Kate eyed him as a prize herself. "Ohhh." she whispered, sounding offended. She smiled at his guilty smile and hit him. Before he could fall to the ground, she walked over and picked him up by his cheeks, squeezing them together. She raised him up, hearing him grunt.
"You know, I usually don't get this friendly until the second date." Dean told her.
She smiled and brought him closer. "You and I can have some fun." she smelt his fear and heavy cologne as she kissed him. "I always need more friends."
Dean rolled his eyes in the kiss. "Sorry, but I never stay with a girl to long, especially for eternity."
Kate lowered her bros at him when she felt a pinch in her chest. She dropped Dean and looked down. Groaning, Kate looked over as the men from earlier ran out of the woods with a crossbow. "Barely even stings." she told him.
John smirked at her as he stopped in front of her.. "Give it time sweetheart. Arrow's soaked in Dead Man's Blood. It's like poison to you."
Kate frowned and her eyes went wide as she looked down again. She sighed meeting the older hunters glaze before she passed out. Dean caught her and looked to his dad and brother. "You know what to do. Load her up." John ordered.
Dean nodded. An order was an order and he never disobeyed his father. "We'll take care of him." he added, looking over to the other vampire with the same kind of arrow. The demon eyed them in fear as he fell to his knees. He watched the man raise the machete. No sooner then a second, the blade came down, impacting with his neck.
Nicole stared at him. "A hunter?" she asked.
He nodded to her. "Yeah, Sam and I are brothers and hunters. We're not PI's."
She laughed. "Yeah I figured that out. No PI I ever met ever wore a leather brown jacket so ragety like that."
Dean looked his jacket over. "What's wrong with......so what about you?"
Nicole eyed him in confusion before sighing low. At least if he was being honest with who he was, she could too. "I'm a hunter too." she confessed. "But don't tell Faith. She doesn't know." she added.
"Why not?" Dean wondered and Nicole only rolled her eyes.
"Clearly no one told you yet."

Forgive me I am not good at fight scenes.
Chapter 4
When Dean tilted his head in confusion too look at her, she decided to just explain how she met Faith. Talking about how she became a hunter was to painful to bring up.
"During one of my hunts, I screwed up. Almost got myself killed until Faith came along and helped me out. After she I told her I was someone who could help her, We decided to hunt down this big bad that was after her so we landed here and we've been hunting him down ever since."Nicole explained. "Faith never once asked me who I really was and I never had the heart to tell her.
Dean listened to her, all the while wondering what the big deal was if she found out she was a hunter. "Who is he?" he asked instead.
"His name is Knox. He's a vampire and very powerful. Killed her watcher. Almost killed her too, but she got away. With her slayer abilities and my hunting skills we managed to hurt him badly but that wasn't enough...." she paused and looked down.
Dean knew it was about Mark. He took her hands and made her look at him. She did and smiled. "That still doesn't explain why you don't want to tell her or how you even got into hunting." he pointed out.
Nicole laughed as a few tears streamed down her face. "Is this where I give you my sappy back story?" she asked.
Dean smirked. He liked her. "Something like that. But if you can't tell Faith, the least you can do is tell me."
Their eyes met and Dean didn't say a word. He only stared and waited for her to explain. Nicole smiled and although she felt nervous and defensive around his earlier, she was starting to have a change of heart. Maybe because he was a hunter too just like her. I mean he had to be. Hunters don't become hunters without a good reason. Usually a sad one and she wondered what this guy's reason was. Did he lose someone he loved like she did? She knew that he wanted to know what happened and blinked back the forming tears in her eyes to begin her story in a more calmer version.
"When I was eleven, my dad took me out on a hunt. He didn't think I was ready but I insisted I was." she started and Dean smirked. This woman sounded exactly like him. "He was too worried about me and got himself killed. I had to watch a werewolf maul my father that night." she told him with a deep sigh. "It was my fault. I was too scared to pick up the gun and shoot the thing. He told me to run but I couldn't move. It was like I was frozen. I stared into the monsters eyes before I heard a gun shot. Other hunters found him that night but I just hid. I couldn't face any of them. Ran away from home and never went back. For years, I blamed myself until about six years ago."
"What happened then?" Dean asked.
"That same werewolf attacked a family. The mother and little boy were huddled in a corner and I stood there as the thing killed his father right in front of them."
"You didn't do anything?" Dean asked.
"I was still that scared little girl. Not on the outside, but on the inside." Nicole told him. "So I ran. Every bone in my body was telling me to kill the werewolf but I couldn't. Every time I looked at it, I saw my dad."
Dean continued staring at the hunter. Man if his dad raised her, he would refer to that as crap. Hunters never had excuses. He expected to hear that every hunt was a success. Dean wondered if her father was like his dad, always barking out demands, telling her what to do, how to attack, how to shoot a .45, or if she didn't have her guard up. Dean always got yelled at by his dad. He pushed him harder each and everyday.
Sometimes Dean hated it and wished his dad took it more easier on him and treated him like an actual son like he did to Sammy. He wished his father could have just seen all the work he's done and been proud of him. He only said that once and that was before he died. Dean might have hated this lifestyle sometimes because he felt it tore his family a part once or twice but , Dean he was glad his dad taught him this life.
When he was eight, John taught him how to sharpen a real knife, while other kids were playing with their fake knives and plastic guns. Caught his first buck that same year and napped his first hunt at fourteen. Dean was always one step ahead of the other kids, although his activities were never normal, at least it gave him a thousand chances to spend time with his dad. Deep down he felt lucky. Luckier than Sam.
And Nicole should have felt lucky too. She would be dead if her father didn't tell her what all was out there. "Did you kill it?" Dean found himself asking.
Nicole looked at him. She hasn't said a word for three minutes, neither of them had. "No I didn't." she stated, biting her lip. "Faith did."
****
Sam glanced around the place and spotted the dark hair girl sitting at the bar. Her back was facing him. He smiled and walked over to her. "Hey." he whispered.
The image of Knox vanished as she turned her head sharply. Sam came into view. He was staring down at her with concerned brown eyes, underneath those light brown locks of his. She blinked once or twice before motioning for him to take a seat. Sam sat next to her in the hard cool stool. His attention still on her.
"I'm fine." she told him, lying through her teeth.
"I know. I just came in for a beer." he stated, trying an old-fashion Dean line. Sam smiled when he saw Faith smile. He reminded himself to give his brother more credit when it came to girls. Sam always thought he gave them some cheesy line, just so he could score. Dean told him that the line would always lighten the mood a little. He never used it before, but he could see Faith relax and enjoy that little one-liner.
"So you came to check up on me?" she asked.
"Yeah." Sam replied.
Faith laughed softly. "And you left Dean and Nicole alone?" she asked.
"Those two will wear each other out before they even get physical." he replied. Sam fiddled with a napkin. "So Faith, how did you know uhh....Mark?" he asked.
Faith looked over at him and sighed, turning in her seat. "Well it all started two years ago at a party. I was letting go of some steam from a hunt. Werewolf." she explained in hush tones. "Mark and I hit it off and went back to his place." she eyed him and Sam got it. He shifted in his chair and cleared his throat. Faith chuckled before she went on. "We started dating."
"W-what happened?" Sam asked.
Faith met his concerned brown eyes and decided to tell him. "We got into this nasty fight and it was time to for me to leave and move on." she continued. "I left his place and moved in with Nicole." Faith snapped her mouth shut. "Actually, he got tired of the late nights and kicked me out." she finally admitted.
"Oh, so he..dumped you." Sam whispered, oddly feeling relieved over that. Faith glared at him for saying it like that and wanted to be mad but couldn't since he was just pointing out the truth.
"I'm just not the person who shares my feelings and talks about my past." she confessed.
Sam knew the feeling. He hated traveling with his bottled up brother all the time. Things even got worse when their dad died, but things started to cool down for him when they met Gordan. In a way he opened his brothers eyes, even if he didn't want to see it. They were dealing with more vampires and all Gordan wanted to do was kill them all. He only saw shades of gray like Dean. When the hunt changed, Dean couldn't take it and Gordan had to prove to them nothing has changed. Vampires are vampires. They deserve to die. He proved it alright but the wrong way.
Sam rubbed his arm and looked down to his scar thinking about it. After he got Lenore out of the place, Dean stayed back with Gordan. Getting her to safety, Sam ran back in to see Gordan tied down and the place a wreck. He smiled at his brother for siding with him. After they left, everything was fine until their next hunt. Some poor guy brought back a girl that he liked and it didn't take long for things to turn sour.
All of Angela's friends kept winding up dead and it didn't take long for him and Dean to connect the dots. They tried talking some sense into Neil when Dean said 'What's dead should stay dead'. Sam knew he wasn't adjusting to the fact that their dad made a deal to bring him back. He wasn't as blind and stupid as his brother thought he was. Dean knew that too, and after they killed Angela, he opened up. Pulled along side of the road and let go of some of that anger and sadness he had.
In a way Faith was more like his brother then him. Yet here they were. But he could understand a lot of emotions she was feeling. Like losing Mark. When he lost Jessica, it tore him a part inside. He would never admit this to Dean but the demon killing Jessica was worse the when he killed their mom. Probably because he wanted a future with Jessica and never got to know his mom the way Dean did. But now with both Jessica and their dad dog, all he really had was Dean. And Bobby whom he grew to really look up to over the years. Sometimes Bobby even acted like a father to him when John was still alive. Bobby at least cared what went on in his life. And he appreciated Bobby for that.
Now, aside from Bobby, there was Ellen. He hadn't known her long but the woman was intriguing and he really wanted to know her and his dad's history together. He still missed his dad. They were always fighting and never had the greatest moments together but being around Ellen in a way brought him closer to his dad. All the family stories. Course Ellen never really brought up much about John and Dean's convinced there's a good reason for that. Maybe there is but it can't be a bad one. John got on everyone's nerves time and time again but him not mentioning Ellen couldn't be life or death. She did own a hunter's bar so maybe that's how they met.
Faith turned to him and saw his face expression. She tried to find any sign in there that he was still with her because clearly he was thinking about something. When she got his attention, Sam was pulled from his thoughts and smiled at her as he looked down. "I'm sorry about Mark." he whispered.
Faith smiled and tucked her hair behind her ear. "Thanks. You know Mark wasn't as bad as everyone thought he was."
Sam nodded, feeling her pain. His dad wasn't as bad as everyone thought he was too. "Where does he live?" he asked.
Faith eyed him. "Downtown, only a couple blocks from here actually. Why do you want to know where Mark lives?" she asked, with a hint of suspicion in her voice.
Sam looked away. He knew he had to lie, but he didn't want to. Dean would so kick his ass if he told her the truth. The less they know the better. Sam pushed that aside and opened his mouth. "Faith, I need to tell you something that you might not like." he started and just when he got her attention, Nicole and Dean came in.
Faith looked between the two and finished her beer. "Come on. I'll take you over to his....the place." she said, as she laid money down on the table, got up and headed to the exit.
All four of them headed out of the bar, crossed the parking lot and started to separate to their own cars when Nicole eyed Dean's in amazement. "Sixty Seven Impala." she asked and Dean smirked, turned her and nodded. "And she's in good condition." she added, amused.
"Thanks. She was my dad's first and a few days ago she was..." Dean started but paused when he looked to Faith. "Hit by a truck so I fixed her up myself." he told her, wanting to leave out the demon part.
Nichle snorted. "Damn. I hope you weren't in the car when it happened."
Dean looked to Sam and just shook his head. "Nah." he lied as he got in his baby. baby.
"We'll follow you." Sam yelled to Nicole as she got in her red Sixty-Eight Firebird and pulled out of the parking lot.
"Holy crap, I think I'm going to marry this girl." Dean joked and followed closely behind.
Sam just laughed. "Yeah, I can just see you in this relationship. I'll give it two weeks." he teased him.
Dean turned into a complex where Nicole pulled in and him and Sam both gaped at the building. He nearly had to slam on his breaks from hitting Nicole's when he saw Faith jump out of her car before it even stopped or Nicole had time to park. "Jesus!" Dean yelled out and glared out her through Sam's window. He pulled into a parking space quickly as he jerked the car and turned the impala off.
"Son of a bitch." Dean muttered, as he grabbed everything he would need. Both him and Sam got out and started heading the building where Faith disappeared in. "What the hell was that? She could have gotten killed." he complained and Nicole smirked.
"She does that all the time Dean." she assured him and he grumbled again as the made their way inside. They were all heading up the steps when he leaned over to look up at Faith. "Don't ever do that again." he warned her. Sam only laughed and stole a glance at Nicole who shook her head. Clearly Dean can go a little crazy when it comes to the impala.
She smiled down at him and glanced to the others. "Hurry up." she called down and Dean just rolled his eyes and signaled for Nicole to go first. She looked to him and followed up the steps.
Sam chuckled and Dean hit him. "What?"
Sam shook his head and shrugged innocently as he ran up the flight of stairs. Dean muttered to himself as he followed, making sure no vamps were there waiting to ambush them. Faith looked back and led the two man and her best friend to Mark's room. She kicked it opened and ran inside, gagging at the stench of old cologne. She would remember it anywhere since it was his favorite. He loved that stuff ever since she bought him a bottle for Christmas so it made her smile when she could smell it.
Faith started to remember back to that day when something went off in her mind. Knox wears that scent all of the time. Now it smelled ten times worse from the blood. Marks blood. Faith darted her eyes around the room and broke out in a sprint, like a bomb went off behind her. Mark! she called, but no sound escaped from her trembling lips. Her eyes began to burn as she got closer to the bedroom.
Faith abruptly froze at the door. Realizing that it was to quiet made her head start spinning. The focus on the room started to go in and out.
Where was everyone? There were no hurried footsteps behind her letting her know that Nicole and Sam were there. Faith closed her eyes and reopened them. She began to see dark spots form everywhere. What the hell? No. I won't let it!. Why wasn't anybody coming to her aid? Tears started pouring down, as she heard loud thumping. Was that her? Shut that music up. Don't you have any respect? My ex-boyfriend is dead for crying out loud. Faith pressed her hands to her ears. The thumping just kept getting more and more louder. She looked at the door and realized the noise was coming from Mark's room. She pushed herself through the door and the noise stopped.
******
Nicole looked at Sam and Dean, before heading back to find Faith. After she disappeared behind the corner Dean turned to face Sam. They were both on full alert and wondered why Nicole and Faith couldn't sense him. Dean pulled out his knife from behind, as Sam pulled out his. It was way to quiet, but not for long. "Sam." Dean whispered.
"Yeah, they set a trap for Faith." Sam finished. He turned toward the hall. "Faith." he yelled in a whisper.
"Actually, the trap isn't for her." a guy behind them growled.
Dean and Sam quickly spun on their heels. Directly in front of them stood a short brown haired, well shaved young man. His face was bumpy with two pointed teeth expanding from his mouth. Saliva ran down his chin, as he sized up his dinner. Dean smiled. "I don't swing that way." he told the vampire.
Sam sighed. "They must have known we'd show up." he guessed.
"How?" Dean asked in a whisper. "Was there another bulletin somewhere I didn't know about?" he asked, in frustration.
Sam looked at him and down the hall to where the girls were at. He wanted to make sure they were safe but he couldn't leave his brother. "Actually no. I told them." Zach said as he laughed. "You call them, we'll kill you all." he warned.
Dean eyed the vampire. "Do we have any choice?" he asked.
The three vamps plus Zach started in on them. "You should have left town when you had the chance."Zach growled. "Now you'll just die a long with them."
Dean smirked at him. "And miss all this?"
"Not a chance." Sam finished, clenching his teeth.
Zach smirked, and held his hands out. "What would your daddy think?" he asked them before they lauched themselves at the stunned hunters. How did they know about John? Dean and Sam held out their arms and pushed the vampires that attached them backwards but they kept advancing and somehow separated the boys into different corners.
Dean turned and punched the one in his jaw as he kicked the other one in the throat. The first vampire elbowed Dean in the shoulder blade, which sent pain up and down his spine. Dean tried to stay focus on the vampire in front of him while keeping an eye on the two closing in on his brother. "Sam."
Sam looked over at his brother as he fended off Zach's punch. "I'm busy Dean." Sam told him ducking from the second vampires foot. Sam fell when Zach tackled him to the ground.
Dean eyed the guy that was on Sam and started to go help him when one of the vampires caught his arms behind his back. Dean glanced between his brother and the vampire in front of him. The vampire punched Dean and he knew he had to act fast. "Touch him I'll kill you." Dean spat at him. He challenged the vampire in front of him and threw up his one leg, hitting the vampire in the gut.
The guy didn't even budge but threw his head back and laughed as Sam kicked Zach off him. He got to his feet and looked around the room with his knife held out in front of him when they heard a deep voice call out. Everyone turned to see who it was.
Knox walked toward the outburst and smiled at the brothers. "Sam and Dean Winchester I presume." he guessed. "I am Knox." he introduced himself.
Dean tried looking over at his brother but found it useful. "Don't suppose you came to chat."
He smiled, showing his teeth. "I've waited for a long time to meet you two. You boys are pretty famous."
Dean smirked. "That's us."
Knox smiled. "Get them. She wants them alive." he stated.
As Dean was pushed forward, he watched Zach and the other vampire grab his brother. 'She' he wondered.

Chapter 5
Dean looked to Sam and knew he was thinking the same thing. Neither of them were going down without a fight and they couldn't leave the girls. As the vampires moved him closer to the door he got his one arm loose and elbowed the vampire behind him in the mouth. He ducked and twisted the guys arm behind his back. "Let him go now!" he roared, holding his knife over the vampires throat.
That distracted the vampires holding his brother letting Sam get the upperhand. He butted both of the guys' heads together and watched them fall to the floor. Sam looked over at Dean when Knox clapped his hands together.
Both brothers stared at him as he laughed. "You guys love putting on a show. That was great." He changed back and glared at them. "But the fun's over."
"What makes you so sure we won't kill you?" Sam asked, trying to bluff him out.
Knox smirked. "I'll snap both of your necks before you even get the chance."he threatened.
Sam looked over to Dean as the three men surrounded him. Knox ignored the younger Winchester and looked over at Dean. "Go ahead and kill him. You boys are still outnumbered either way."
Dean clenched his jaw and eyed Sam. They were outnumbered but this was just like before. Luther had Sam and threatened to kill him if he didn't back down. Different situation but same scene. He licked his lips, pressing the knife harder against the guy's neck, enough to stun him with devil's blood but it wouldn't kill him. The vampire he was holding hissed out but he felt strong arms yank him off the vampire and slam him into the wall. His hand locked around Dean's neck as he slowly raised him to his feet. "Dean!" Sam tried to yell but before he could, Zach punched him so hard, the vampire nearly dislocated his jaw.
Dean wearily looked over at him while he tried struggling for air, his eye half shut and a cut crossed his top lip. "No." he rasped out, seeing the vampire had hit Sam. The one from behind held him back in place as Zach punched his stomach as hard as he could, forcing the taller man to his knees. "Sammy!" Dean yelled, his voice hardly audible.
Feeling anger build up inside him, he looked back at the vampire holding him who was laughing used his free hand to grab the vampires face as he pushed his thumb in his eye. Dean dropped to the ground when the guy grabbed his eye and kicked him back. After the vampire tumbled to the ground, Dean started to make a break for his brother when he felt a sharp pain in his side. Apparently, he forgot about the vampire he only temporarily stunned. Dean froze and looked down to his side seeing a crimson red stain start to form on his shirt from where the vampire cut him.
Dean touched the spot and glanced behind him. He looked back over to his brother as Dean dropped to the floor earlier. The other vampires slowly saw Dean go limp and Knox glared at the vampire.
Sam fearfully looked over and his eyes widened. "No. Dean!" Sam struggled out, still hunched over from all the pain the vampires inflicted on him.
Knox was handed the knife and he dropped it to the ground as he crushed it under his foot. "He better not be dead." he hissed out and watched as the others cleared a path while Sam pulled himself across the floor to be by his brother's side. He lifted up his brother's chin and saw his eyes were barely open. "Dean." he cried, letting the tears roll down his cheeks.
Blood ran down the his mouth as he stared at Sam. "Sam." he barely whispered.
"Dean." Sam said more firmly, shaking him when his eyes fully shut. After he cried for a few seconds, he knew he couldn't let things end this way. Dean would want him to get them both out of their so he looked over to where the girls were and got ready to call for them when someone kicked his stomach real hard, causing him to flip over. He laid on his back and just glared at Zach, trying to keep focus on the vampire. He wanted to memorize what he looked like because he would be the one to kill him. He would kill them all.
He scrunched his eyes close and balled up as he felt another kick to his side. This was beginning to be useless. He couldn't fight and he knew the girls wouldn't stand a chance. Sam blinked back tear as as he looked over to his brother, trying to talk to him still even though Dean's eyes have been closed for the past couple of minutes now and his chest was barely even rising. Sam's hands flailed up as Zach put his boot against his throat, crushing his windpipe. Zach smiled down at Sam and looked at Knox. "Go get Faith" he ordered as Knox only nodded at his right hand man.
Sam glanced up at the younger vampire and tried shaking his head in fear as the other vampires ran around the corner. "No." he rasped. He looked back to Zach as he grabbed his jeans.
"What?" Zach asked him.
"Take us." he whispered. Zach just looked in confusion at the man. "Just let them go."
Knox stroked his chin at this offer and thought it was a good plan. "Boys!" he called.
Sam saw the other vampires draw back as Zach lifted his boot. "Leave the girls."
"What about the plan?" Zach asked.
Knox looked between the brothers and smiled. "There's a new plan." he assured them, with a devilish grin on his face.
"Faith." Sam whispered before weariness took over. His eyes slowly closed as his body started to go limp.
Knox watched in admiration. Both winchester boys were sprawled out, unmoving. "Get them in the truck." he instructed Zach and the others. He waited impatiently as they moved closer to Sam and Dean. "Hurry Up!" he roared. He watched as Zach and the others picked up the two guys.
Zach threw Dean over his shoulder and hauled him down the hallway. Dean's weight made Zach's arms ache. He looked back at the others and snorted, as one vampire had a hold of Sam's legs, while the other had his arms. "wimps." he breathed. He led the way toward the exit and opened the double wide doors with his back.
The other vampires followed him with Sam. Zach waited for them to exit the building. He motioned for one of the guys to open the truck door. Zach and the other two ran out and layed Dean and Sam inside. He stared at them before closing the door. Zach ran around the truck to the drivers side and got in. He yelled for the others and watched as they got in.
"What do we do?" the one guy asked.
Zach looked to the doors. "We wait."
*****
Faith knelt down next to Mark as tears emerged from her eyes. Nicole ran over to her and stood in silence as her best friend let it all out. Faith was outraged and upset. She wanted so badly to kill Knox. Not just for her watcher Stanley, but now for Mark. It must of been so confusing for him. He wasn't apart of this. It was her fight, not his. He didn't deserve to die like this. He didn't even know what killed him.
Mark should of lived. He had a great life before he met her. She was keeping secrets from him and he definitely didn't deserve that. Either she told him or didn't, in the end he would of been still left in the dark. He wasn't prepared for this. He shouldn't have been.
Vampires just don't care. As long as the kill is someone you loved and will hurt you. They kill innocent lives, and it's her job to get rid of them. She's the one who stops the nightmares from walking on the earth, and creating chaos. Now she got another innocent killed. The closest person to her heart. She would go through the endless pit before Knox or any other demon took the second closest person away from her.
She stared at his pale blue face as her fingers trailed over his face. She stopped at his neck, feeling the two holes. "He won't rise." she cried.
"What?" Nicole asked, glancing from behind her friend.
"Knox drained him. He won't become a vampire." Faith stated. She knew how. She seen it before. It was done on her watcher. Knox didn't kill him. He turned him into one of those things and Knox made her kill him. Knox could have made her kill Mark too and that was what she was afraid of but he didn't.
It wasn't ten minutes after when she came back. Faith walked through the door and saw her watcher lying there. Tears came down her face as she walked over to him, kneeling down. Her hand went straight for his face. She ran her fingers through his short hair and picked up his glasses on the ground next to him. She turned them and examined them, running her fingers across the frames and the cracked lens.A tear drop fell on the glass so she wiped his glasses on her shirt, and placed them back on his face.
She jumped and gasped when she saw his eyes open but his face said it all. The marks were gone and his teeth were pointier. He grabbed her hand before she could run. He reached for her neck and wrapped his fingers around her throat. Faith stared at him in fear. Why wasn't she trying to kill him or run away? He squeezed her neck and she choked, muttering something to him as he pulled her close to him. "Don't"
Stanley smirked. He could smell her fear from here and almost taste her blood rushing through him. His first kill. It was exhilarating. Knox didn't want her dead but he could have as much as he wants, enough that wouldn't kill her. He held her hands to her side and opened hi mouth when she head butted him. His head snapped back and she got her left hand loose, punching him across the jaw.
Faith rolled back and kicked him, rolling sideways the wooden chest. She needed her knife. She stretched for it when Stanley's hands gripped her ankles, then her legs. She looked back and tried kicking him but it wasn't working. He reached to her waist and Faith gripped the knife and turned, raising it up when he caught her hands, forcing them above her head. Faith struggled under his weight as he moved to her neck.
Thankfully, Knox hadn't turned him. She probably wouldn't be able to take it. Faith moved up to Mark's eyes and closed them. "I'm sorry." she whispered.
Nicole thought she heard a noise in the hallway and started to walk toward the door. She reached for the door knob when she heard Faith call her. Nicole turned around and eyed her red faced friend. "I'm so sorry Faith."
Faith nodded as she balled her fist up. "Knox is gonna pay." she hissed.
"He will." Nicole promised her. "Right now we have to get out of here though before the cops show up."
Faith nodded and looked at her through red puffy eyes. "I need to kill him myself." she said in a whisper. "With no help at all." she added solemnly.
Nicole brushed her hair back and stole a glance at Mark's body. "Of course you have help. You have me, Sam, and Dean." she assured Faith.
"I can't risk getting you all killed. I'd rather die." Faith told Nicole bluntly. She looked down and lowered her voice. "I mean, it's not like I have much of a choice."
Nicole grabbed Faith's arm gently. "You always have a choice." she reminded her. "And no matter what, I'm not going anywhere." she said with a smile.
Faith eyed her and slowly smiled when they both heard a loud noise in the other room. "Sam!" she yelled following Nicole. They hurried down the hallway and turned the corner, stopping in complete horror. Neither of the brother were there.
Knox stared back at the room where the slayer was. He heard voices form in the hall. A big smile brightened his face. Knox wanted to see the girl in some more pain before he'd kill her. He hid in the shadows as the voices from the two girls neared. This was going to be fun!

Knox watched as the two women rounded the corner. They paused in shock as they took in the scene. The living room was a mess, with tilted pictures on the walls to broken plants in the corner.
Nicole grabbed Faiths arm and pointed downward. Near the door was a large crimson stain. The look of the blood being fresh sent chills down their spines. An empty room without Sam and Dean meant that someone took them. Or something. Faith scanned the room. Someone still had to be here.
Watching and enjoying their fear from his or her hiding place. She walked over to the couch and two chairs and looked around. "This has to be Knox's doing." Faith hissed, seeing the door wide open. She took out her silver knife dipped in dead man's blood.
Nicole stared at the stain of blood and felt tears form behind her eyes. She blinked back the few tears that escaped down her cheeks. A couple drops fell freely onto her hands. After a while her breathing eased. She stood up, tightened her fist and turned to Faith. Her face reddening each second. How could they not hear what was going on? "Are you positive that Knox took them?" she asked, full of anger.
Faith slumped down in one of the white arm chairs and slowly nodded up and down without looking at her friend. "I'm pretty sure. We probably walked into a trap set by him personally." she balled her fist and slammed it down on the arm rest. Faith stood up in guilt and walked over to the mantel, resting her head down on her hands. "I never should of got them involved." she whispered, feeling tears come to her eyes.
Knox smiled and danced around the thought of making his appearance noticeable. The smell of defeat made his nostrils flare. He was now hungrier then ever, but he still wanted to see Faith suffer some more. He thought of more ways to piss her off and stepped farther out of the shadows. This girl will not get away this time.
Nicole examined the room. "The fight wasn't long ago, so they couldn't have been taken far." she stated, as she inched toward Faith, but came to a sudden stop when she heard the sound of soft footsteps behind her. The hairs on her neck stood up in full alert. Whatever was behind her, she was ready. Or so she thought. Her hands ready to strike out if the person grabbed her from behind. She glanced out of the corner of her eye and saw a shadow of a figure, but went cold when she felt something cold lock around her arm. Nicole didn't have time to twist around to see her attacker.
Knox wrapped his arm around her waist and brought his other hand up to her mouth. "Or they could be bleeding to death." he hissed, in her ear. Faith looked up and saw Know through the mirror. Her eyes widened as she faced him. A knot formed in her throat. He was smiling at her, with her friend in his tight grasp. "Miss me?" he asked, showing his sharp teeth.
She slowly walked toward them, hoping for no sudden movements. "Not likely." she replied, hastily. Knox yanked Nicole backwards a little. This made her wince. "Let her go Knox. You and me both know that she's not apart of this fight." Faith stated, fearing for her friends life. "Neither were they." she spat, referring to Sam and Dean.
Nicole struggled under the vampires grasp, but he held on strong. Every time she squirmed, he would always tighten his arm around her waist. Why can't I fight him? This is not how a hunter acts. Fight Nicole! Fight! she told herself.
She knew that one wrong move would cost her her life. Right now she had to go along with this, since no one knows that she is a hunter, but Dean. Before he would try anything she would strike and hit her mark. The thought left her, as two fangs tore at her flesh. She could feel the blood flow around her bare neck and down her exposed skin.
The man started digging in, taking long gulps of her warm blood. She started gurgling, as she choked on the taste of her own blood. The thought of her dying right there and then was not something she had on her list of things to do.
Knox pulled away and looked up at Faith. He didn't want to kill this girl yet. He wanted her death to be slow and painful for Faith. "That's when you are wrong Faith. Everyone is apart of this fight." he corrected her. "It doesn't matter, if you're hiding or sulking alone. Everyone around you will still die." he assured her.
Faith watched as Knox lowered his head downward again. The fear in her eyes told her what he was getting ready to do. He was going to finish her off. "No!" she screamed. Knox pressed down in the girls skin and was welcomed with a rush of warm blood. The stream went down his throat and into his lungs. Something about this girls blood tasted stronger.
It felt just like slayers blood, but with a tangy taste. He urged more of the heartfelt, warm liquid down his throat, before he was sent backwards from an incredible force to his forehead. Knox stumbled and looked up as Nicole turned to him, her arms close to her body. "What the?" he asked.
Nicole smirked at him "I probably should have warned you first. I'm not like most girls." She twisted her body around, threw her leg up and kicked him real hard in the chest. He toppled over. Within seconds Knox stood up and was ready for battle.
His quickly wiped his mouth of the girls blood. "Should have known. You have hunters blood in you." he spat."
Nicole cringed, but stood her guard. "Got that right." and with that, she threw her hand out. He caught it and glared at her, twisting her fist, until he heard the satisfying crack. He grabbed her by the shirt and threw her into the side wall. The plaster cracked and peeled as she fell to the carpet in soaring pain.

Zach knew something was wrong and drove off, turning onto an abandoned street. He drove straight for awhile, then turned into a warehouse. Once the truck halted to a stop the back doors opened and two vampires emerged out onto the col concrete. They rushed over to the entrance and closed the big heavy doors. Zach peered in the back and stared in disgust at the two sleeping bothers. If Knox didn't return, he would kill them within seconds.

Chapter 6
Knox stood diagonally across from Faith, as Nicole tried to stand. She used the table to balance herself, as she placed her unharmed hand on the back of a chair. "You son of a bitch." she spat. She could feel how bad her hand throbbed. It was probably broken. A light dark blue and purple bruise was already forming around her wrist. "You're gonna pay for that."
Knox laughed through her threat and grinned between the girls. He landed on Faith and smirked at her devilishly, "First I'm gonna kill her nice and slow and make you drink her blood." he licked his lips at the receiving glare he got.
While Nicole held her hand on her hip, she gave him a warm reassuring smile, letting him know that warning didn't bother her. "That's only if I don't kill you first." she pulled a knife dipped in demon's blood out of her leather jacket and let the lights from inside reflect off the blade, while blood dripped to the cream carpet.
He looked back to blonde and narrowed his eyes on her. "I like it the hard way."
"Isn't that funny." Nicole shot. "So do I." she raised the knife up and started to throw it when Faith shouted to her.
"Nicole," she snapped. Nicole froze at the slayers tone and eyed her. She didn’t have time to talk about why she lied. The boys were kidnapped because of them. Because, she couldn’t do her damn job right, was too worried about the slayer. If either of those boys die because of her, she would never forgive herself. "This isn't your fight." she warned her.
Knox scolded at the hunter. "Where are Sam and Dean?” Faith asked.
Nicole rolled her eyes. Like, he’ll tell us. Knox would lie and say…."They’re already dead." Nodding her head, she looked at Faith, while crossing her arms, hissing from bumping her bruised wrist.
“Where are they?” she insisted louder, knowing too well she didn't kill them like he killed Mark.
“You'll be dead before you find them." Knox warned.
Faith smirked and cocked an eyebrow. “Try us.” Does he really want to do this? A slayer and a hunter. Really? Still a hunter? She glanced toward her best friend. She had a million questions running around in her mind and she would rather confront her right now but she would just have to hold off on that. There were lives at stake here. Maybe with a hunters help, she could save them all. Despite the war between hunters and slayers.
Knox looked between both girls. A slayer and a hunter fighting side by side. He knew he was out numbered but the reason he's not dead is obvious. They need something from him. His grin widened. “I really enjoy a challenge.” He coaxed.
Nicole took his offer and started tp advance on him with her knife when Faith held out her hand. "Wait." she yelled. The blonde looked over at her and Faith licked her lips as she stared Knox down. She needed to get as much information out of him as possible about the guys. "We want to see them." she assured him.
Nicole looked at her like she lost it and Know howled with laughter. “I wouldn’t worry about those boys. They won’t last long anyway.” He peeked their interest as he showed his fangs through a laugh, pointing to the stained carpet “They didn’t even put up a fight.” He lied. Truth was, they fought well, but for two Winchesters, they sure were a big disappointment.
Neither had the kind of balls their father ever had. John Winchester was far from a legend compared to these idiots. Now, there’s a challenge. It’s ashame he got himself killed though. Killing John Winchester would have been an honor, but killing his sons would have to do, once his daughter has her way with them. He didn't really care how many peices they were in, he just wanted to finish them.
Faith needed answers and she needed them now. She could as well lose two more innocents tonight. Vampires lie, but there’s is just to much blood here. She prayed they were still alive. Maybe they escaped. Get a grip Faith. They couldn’t even make it to the door without getting caught, possibly even killed. She eyed Nicole’s stricken face and studied her motives. She knew what Knox was thinking which was a good sign. She could find Sam and Dean a lot quicker if she got a head start. She would slow Knox down. After all, that is her job.
Faith shook her head. Her watcher had told her so many things about hunters. How they go off on revenge and not justice. Faith promised if she ever ran into one, kill them quick. Clamping her eyes shut, she felt a tear roll down her cheek. She couldn't worry about that now. Besides, Nicole was a great friend, but an even greater hunter. “Oh, this is interesting.” Knox said at last. Grinning at the slayer.
“What is?” Nicole asked. Faith opened her eyes and glared at him.
“She doesn’t know yet does she?” he asked, glancing at the slayer.
“Know what?” Nicole looked to her friend and saw the tears coming down her face.
“A hunter is a slayers worse enemy.” Knox stated. "They've been at war for years."
******
There was noise…then there was nothing.. Why couldn’t he control his body and why did he feel so cold? His hands and legs were numb. His head was throbbing and his stomach was churning. There was little light and everything was spinning in his head. All he wanted to do was vomit, sleep and forget. God, life was so much easier when he didn’t know. He now regretted asking those questions all those years ago. He never liked the answers to them anyway. He never asked for this. Maybe he did by asking. Part of him was curious, while he thought it was because his family blamed him.
He figured they didn’t want him anymore so they just shut him out. He was so naive then but this wouldn’t have been real and they wouldn’t be in these life or death situations every damn day, risking their lives all for strangers; people who think they’re crazy. Crazy is an understatement. It was insane. They were insane if they thought they could handle this. Not today but tomorrow they might not be so lucky. That’s all they go on. Luck!. The one thing that has gotten them through the impossible so far.
It’s not like there’s an on and off switch whenever they want to be normal again. He already tried that. In the end, there was only blood, death and revenge, like always. Revenge never got them anywhere. Just in these stupid situations. Everyday could be their last and he never understood why. Everything comes with a price, even family. God! Dean.
His head spun faster as thoughts of Dean ran through him like crazy. Too much blood. Why is he seeing blood everywhere? It’s all over him. Sam gagged down the bile rising up his throat and squinted his eyes. He looked around the darken room and saw the light leaving his vision. No!
Panting harder, Sam realized he was tied to a chair and tried pulling at the ropes. Where did his strength go? He couldn't even move a muscle. Did they give him something? Did they start feeding yet? Oh god, just thinking about that made his skin crawl. He had to find Dean though. It didn't matter what shape his brother was in. He just needed to see his face. He needed to know that Dean was okay, that he was still alive.
Sam lifted his head up higher and scanned every corner of the room when his eyes fell on a slump figure in another chair just diagonal from him. By the looks of his posture, he wasn’t breathing. “Dean.” He rasped, calling out to the man. No. He can’t lose him. Not now. Not like this. His vision started going in and out again when a hand grabbed his hair, pulling his head back. “Someone’s eager to die.” She whispered in his ear, pushing his head to the side and licking his neck.
“Go ahead you son of a bitch, there’s nothing keeping me here anymore.” Sam muttered. He tried to make his voice strong. He tried to hide the fear of living in this world without Dean. Tears flowed down his face and the vampire snapped his head back up, making him watch as two male vampires walked over to the tied up man. One forced the man’s head up and Sam breathed a sigh of relief once he saw his dirty face.
The vampire looked at Sam and smiled, showing his fangs as he pushed the mans head sideways. “No.” Sam yelled, gaining control over his body again. All that rage. It felt good. Along with revenge. He moved his hands frantically behind the chair as the vamp bit into his neck. The guy moaned and opened his eyes while the other vamp bit his arm. “No!” Sam screamed, closing his eyes. God, stop.
The one thing he hated about this life was watching people, innocent people die. People with families who would of never imagined their husbands, wives or daughters getting mauled by a werewolf or worse, seeing them again, only when they look at their faces, it’s not them. They’re monsters created by monsters and nothing tastes better to them then their own family.
He opened his eyes again and wanted to stop them so bad. He wanted to save this man and get him and his family out of here and away from this place. So many things he could have done ran through his mind and finding Dean was at the top of his list. Where was he?
The vamps let the guy go as his arms fell limp to his side. They wiped the blood from their mouths and glided over toward the Winchester. “Boys.” The woman said. “What did I say about the winchester's?”
Sam knew that voice. Who was it? So old and familiar. If he just got a picture of her, he would know who he’s dealing with. Obviously, this was the same ‘she’ Knox was talking about. “They’re off limits.” She spat.
His eyes widened. Dean’s alive then. He craned his neck to each side of him and finally saw his brother. He was in worse shape then the other guy. Sam watched as his chest went up and down and closed his eyes. Thank god.
Sam scanned every scar and wound on his brother from head to toe and vowed to kill them all. Who knew how long he was bleeding for. He was out for a good bit so Dean could have lost most of his blood by now. Sam had to get Dean out of here and treated fast. Loosing Dean would be like breathing with no air.
First his mom, Jessica, dad and no. It won’t ever happen. Dean was stronger then to let some blood loss keep him down. He just needed him to wake up. Dean always gave everything up for him, even when they were younger. He always protected him and now it was his turn to show Dean just how much he could protect him. He always told Sam everything would be okay when it wasn’t just to make him feel better
Sam knew that some siblings complain, but the truth is Sam couldn't ask for more, then just knowing that his big brother will always be there for him. That he always has a shoulder to lean on. Someone to turn to. Someone to love. Although Dean can annoy him a lot and make fun of him for the way he acts toward him, he knows Dean loves it.
They both have different lives, but in the end, being brothers is what brought them back together. He was the reason Sam found his family again. He understood what hunting meant that year but he understood what family meant more to him. Dean gave him a second chance to turn his life around, make peace with their dad, find love again and never again, will he ever turn his back on his brother.

Chapter 7
"Unlike hunters, slayers always work alone. They never get close to anyone and that’s what keeps them alive. There are endless slayers in the world, mostly young girls, but only one can rise and battle the forces of darkness until they lose. A slayer is special with unique gifts. A watcher trains them in hopes of stopping the next big threat but hunters got involved.
They’ve been showing up all over the world killing on this evil streak. A spark of revenge. The Watchers assumed they were evil and watched as their slayers killed hundreds of hunters without even blinking. Once they were done, the watcher and the slayer went back to their mission at hand. That night, a couple dozen of hunters ambushed them, gaining the information they had. They were tortured and forced to reveal themselves as the good guys. Now, what happens when you find out there are two good guys in the world?
Hunters studied the slayer for years as the slayer did them. While captured, she watched them carefully, understood their motives and got away. She didn’t get to far with her watcher before they caught them. Killing them bloody, one of the hunters found a single piece of paper popping out from the girl’s dress.”
“A hunter is a slayers worse enemy.” Knox whispered, staring straight at Nicole as Faith finished the story.
Faith shot him a glare and looked back at Nicole. They thought slayers were evil then." Faith admitted.
"And now?" Nicole asked.
Faith just stared at her. "If it helps slayers thought all hunter deserved to die."
"What about now?" Nicole asked, a little louder. "Why would you not tell me this?"
Faith narrowed her eyes at her. “Nicole, I didn't even know you were a hunter. I didn't think it was important at the time."
“I know and I’m sorry but just hear me out.” Nicole pleaded. “I should have told you, but I was worried.”
“About what?” Faith asked. “Oh my god, you thought I would kill you.”
“I did not.” Nicole shot at her. “I just didn’t think this was the right time.”
“Not the right time!” Faith howled, stepping toward her.
Knox looked between the two and stepped back, toward the wall, watching with anticipation. He loved cat fights in the morning.
“I’m not a killer Nicole.” Faith yelled.
“Ah, but you are.” Knox said finally, smiling at them. “Both of you are killers.”
The girls took their glares from one another and eyed the vampire. What were they doing? Fighting in front of a vampire. Was this one of his tricks? Faith questioned. “That’s funny. The only killer I see is you.” Nicole spat, stealing a glance at Faith. She eyed her and smiled a little.
**************
Kate waited in the room. She wanted to kill the winchester's so bad. Their blood was screaming to her. Just one taste could end their lives forever. Well, not forever, the feeding would take as long as possible. She wanted them to suffer for what they did. She wanted them to watch each other die in front of their faces. Vulnerable to help. First, she’ll feed off the older one. Kill him nice and slow, then she’ll tun on the other brother. Their deaths will feel endless. The Winchesters will soon be no more.
She could hear Zach and and the others talking just beyond the door. They were talking in hush tones but Kate overheard her fathers name. He still wasn’t back yet? Kate loved her father but he could take care of himself. It was just the slayer, but if Zach should go along with his boss's plan. Kate grimaced. She wasn't going to let them have all the fun.
They didn't have anything against them like she and her dad did. After John took Luther away, the love of her life, she has been searching for the three men. That was when she came home to her dad, Zach and some other low life vampires that her dad probably didn't care about. He knew Zach for awhile and knew he was loyal to him and her.
"Zach."Knox called.
"Hey Knox. What can I do you for?" Zach asked. It was aways nice hearing an old friends voice. Most of his either hunted alone or were killed. Whenever Knox called him, it met he was in a tight jam and needed out fast. Zach couldn't wait to kill whoever Knox was after. He was even more thrilled when Knox announced that they were after the slayer. Not a slayer. The slayer. Zach listened as his friend spoke. He thought of drinking her warm blood for years. Hopefully, it’ll come true.
"My daughter left for awhile and I was planning--," Knox started, but Zach cut him off.
"Wait,. Where did Kate go?" he asked. He knew who she was. Once he met her, he fell for her. Knox could hear the hint of jealousy in the younger vampires voice as he went on with his story about his encounter with the slayer.
Zach snickered. "Man Knox, you love fighting big don't you?" he asked.
A sharp shut up from his sire sent a chill down his back. Knox was the one who turned Zach into the creature he was today. Living off of human blood. A real monster in the dark. He was at a young age when Knox sired him but he trained him how to kill, starting with his family. This would be his first time going up against a slayer, but since it actually being the slayer, there was a lot of work to do. Knox loved the boy like his own but he wasn't sure if Zach could handle it. Slayers were out of the boys league. He would be puppy chow to them.
He told Knox other wise and showed up at his door step anyway, waiting to begin the hunt of a lifetime. That was during the time Kate was gone. Zach and Knox showed at the slayers door and killed her watcher when she was still skeptic and naive about her new life. Faith got away from them though. They tracked her to Los Angeles, where she met Nicole. A civilian. While Knox and Zach were tracking her down, Kate called and told him about Luther. Knox grew angry at that fact. Him and Luther were friends for centuries. He was outraged by who killed him and was interested in meeting these hunters. That was when he heard stories about them from other nests'.
He knew they were hunters, but they were Winchesters. Knox would kidnap and torture them slowly for what they did to Luther. This would be such an honor, killing all three Winchesters. Like Faith, Zach had no idea who these men were and why they were so important. He too thought they were ordinary hunters but they weren’t even close.
Knox agreed to give up his search for the slayer, but decided not to tell Kate about her. Knowing his daughter, she would try to hunt Faith down and kill her herself after learning so many battles he had with her. She was already upset and angry over Luther’s death and if she found out the slayer was hunting him, Kate would just get in the way or Faith would use his daughter against him. Hunters would too but he would rather her die by a hunter then by a slayer.
When she arrived back home. He wanted the slayer to pay because he knew she was too scared to face him. She couldn’t beat him and he would use that weapon against her to kill her.
Kate wanted to kill John the most after everything that man did to her but since he was gone, why not settle for the next best meat? Dean. After learning from an ally who has been in hiding from the slayer that the Winchesters’ were in town, Knox sent his plan into action.
What better way then to get both the slayer and the brothers and kill them at his hand. He just needed a distraction, to lure the three somwehere after finding out that the slayer and the hunters were working together. He needed to draw Faith out alone and knew the Winchesters were onto him but he was willing to pay whatever price as long as he’d get to see them bleed.
He had killed Faith's ex boyfriend hoping it would draw Faith out and he succeded but was delighted to see the Winchesters along for the ride. Now everything was falling into place and Knox made the most of it. Fast thinking had landed him one dead body and two helpless winchesters’.
But, without knowing, Sam was his ticket to finally killing Faith.
Kate looked out through the window and smiled down at the brothers. she grinned and licked her lips. Blood was their survival and they had lots of it. She couldn’t and wouldn’t begin until her father showed. Why did he stay behind. Oh yeah. The slayer. It didn’t take her long to figure it out. She could smell her scent.
Kate slammed her hand down. She wanted word on her father now. He was sure to be in trouble. It has been awhile since they left him wherever he was. He might need help. Kate stood up and headed toward the door and opened it, only to find Zach standing there with his arms crossed. "Where do you think you're going?" he asked, raising his brow with a small smirk. If her father wasn’t dead yet, she would gladly kill him. He should have known vampires weren’t human. They had better instincts then hunters.

Hmmmmmmmmmmmm... Good story so far...
If the chapters were a bit longer though, it would be better...
Sorry about the criticism... I think I'm like the only person on this site that occasionally gives out bad reviews... Not that this one is bad...

Hey, Candace. It's okay. I get sidetracked that I even forget about a couple of stories. I'm a slacker too so don't worry. Drop by whenever you get a chance
Hey macdude55. I'm so glad to have a new reader. I'll try to make the chapters long. Your criticism isn't bad at all. I take it to the heart and try to make my readers stay interested in my stories. LOL. Reviews also help me do better. I am so excited to bring Kate in more. Just feel free to tell me if the story gets confusing.
I'm glad everyone is enjoying the story. I already have so much written that i had to type them up. Yes everything is getting so tensed. Now we know why the boys are kidnapped and more about everyone. Well Except Nicole. Faith, Sam and the other vampires won't figure out her secret yet. Is that why I made them stab Dean? who knows. Thank you both for reviewing and enjoy this next update.
Chapter 8
Kate bit her lip. She could have tried seducing him, but Zach knew that she'd never betray Luther, even if it has been over a year since John killed him. Zach still enjoyed it, although it didn't mean anything. Kate always just did it to get her way and right now, she needed to go find her father. "Where's my father? Is he alright? What did that slayer do to him?" she asked, all at once.
Zach could tell she was very worried about her father. He was too, but the last question sent him wondering. His eyes widened. "How did you know about the slayer?" he asked and eyed her suspiciously.
The question made Kate laugh. "Come on Zach. I'm not stupid. Vampires have great hearing you know. Just tell me how dangerous is this slayer?" she asked, fearing for her fathers life.
Zach pushed her into the room and shut the door behind her. “You got what you wanted. You wanted the Winchester boys and your father got you them half bleeding downstairs for you.” He snapped, showing his teeth at her.
Kate stared up at him with one eyebrow raised and purred. “I like this side of you Zach. Very forceful and strong.” She laughed as she moved past him to get to the door. Her hand was on the doorknob when she felt a firm hand grab her arm before whipping her around, bringing Kate against his chest. She eyed him with a half sly smirk. “You’ve come a long way.” She added.
“Apparently not long enough.” He reminded her, rocking her body with his. She placed a hand on his cheek and cocked her head to the side.
“If you haven’t my father would have killed you years ago.” Kate admitted.
Zach huffed and looked deep into her eyes. “Maybe that would have been a good thing.”
Kate stopped and pushed away from him, scratching the side of his face. She left two long marks on his cheek as they started to bleed. She reached down and grabbed the knife from the table when Zach placed his hand over hers. "Faith is very dangerous,” Zach started. Kate looked up and released her hold on the knife. “But, she won't hurt your dad because we have something she wants." he told her.
Kate scoffed and crossed her arms. "Oh yeah. What’s that?" she asked, skeptically.
“The Winchesters’.” Zach stated.
“The Winchesters?” she repeated, furrowing her brow. “What do they have in common with her?” Kate still wasn’t too convinced with this story.
“Us, now.” His grin curved into a devilish smirk as she started to understand. She walked closer to him and grabbed the back of his head, licking the blood from his cheek off with her tongue. She pulled away with his blood all over her lips. “So, she’s bound to come.”
“And when she does, we’ll be waiting.” Zach added sadistically.
Kate ran her fingers through his hair as she stared directly into his devouring eyes before throwing his head back. “Good.” She turned and walked back toward the door. “Until then, I’m going to go play with the boys downstairs.”
Zach reached out and grabbed her again. She turned and smiled back at him. “Mind if I watch?”
Kate nodded and the both of them walked out of the room and started down the steps when Kate broke the silence. “So you don’t think this slayer is involved with the winchester's, do you? Zach watched her. “What do you mean?” he asked, keeping to her heels.
Kate laughed. “Come on Zachy, even you’re not stupid enough to ask that question.”
“Are you saying that she could be dating one of them?” Zach asked, shocked. He thought that wasn't possible.
“Or she’s having her own party of three.” Kate joked, eying back at him.
Zach stared at her quizzically and she laughed. “Switching it up.” She added trying to joust his memory. He continued staring at her with that blank look on his handsome face.
“God, you suck.” She muttered, looking forward as she got the the bottom of the steps.
Zach watched her in a daze before shaking his head and catching up to her. “So, if she’s with one of them, then we have the extra advantage?”
Kate stopped and spun on her eyes, glaring at him. “Look, we already have the extra advantage. She comes and they die. End of story.” She explained. And then my father can torture her as much as he wants.” She trailed off when she saw him laughing. “What?” Kate asked.
“It’s just a hunter and a slayer. It’s a little ironic don’t ya think?” Zach said.
“What’s so funny about it?” Kate asked, smirking at him.
“Nothing. It’s just hunters and slayers hate each other.” Zach stated. “Most of all, they’re each other’s enemy.” Kate eyed him and shook her head while holding up her finger. “It’s just a little odd that they would be working together.” He admitted.
Kate continued eying him. “Think of it this way Kate, We don’t work with werewolf's and they don’t work with us because we go after the same thing, just have our own way of doing things.”
Kate started to catch on. "Maybe they have a plan." If Slayers and Hunters never worked together before, why would they start now unless they had a plan?
"Which is?" Zach asked, crossing his arms.
Kate smirked. "Why don't we just go ask them?" she started to turn and walk away when she turned back around, facing Zach. "Aren't slayers and hunters on the same side though? They both hunt down evil." Kate asked.
Zach looked at her like a child. Man she was asking a lot of questions. He wondered where the off button was, but he knew why she had so much questions. Kate just wanted to find out as much stuff on the slayer that has her dad's claws wrapped around so tightly. And she wanted to learn everything about hunters more then she already knew.
The low life's who killed her love; her soul mate. He watched as she stared at him with that twinkle in her eye. He knew her dad would kill him if she knew all of this but she looked too cute looking like that it was hard to resist. "Some are, but not all hunters are good. Still slayers and hunters believe in different stuff. Some things that are evil in a slayers world might be good in another hunters eyes.
Either way hunters and slayers are forbidden to work together. They can't cross each others paths. It also has to do with strength. Just like us. We don't like to run into demons because they like to come out on top too. That's why they work alone and that's why we work alone. If a hunter and a slayer worked together and they found out, especially the slayer. Let's just say it would be almost the biggest battle ever. Slayers don't like competitions, but hunters love them. So if Faith was ever to find out that Sam's a hunter, her first instinct would be to kill him. And that my girl, is our plan." Zach explained to her. "Reel her in, let the cat out of the bag and watch them kill each other.
Kate frowned. "But what if the slayer already knows about Sam?" she asked. "We can't afford the slayer to team up with a hunter, Zach."
Zach thought for a minute. She did have a good point. Wait. I know what's going on because Knox was keeping tabs on her all day. he told himself. "Believe baby. Faith doesn't know a thing." he assured her.
"Then why even kidnap him. Wouldn't it of been more safer and not to mention more fun if she found out while she was falling for him, because then she would of had to kill him earlier and get her heart broken again." Kate stated.
"I like your idea, but your father has a plan. Like I told you earlier, if Faith is connected to these guys somehow, she'll have no choice but to show up. Then we would all kill them or turn them. Either way, I want some slayers blood, with some hunters blood on the side." he told her "Nothing is more powerful then slayers and hunters blood combined." Zach added.
"I thought it was just slayers blood that is powerful?" Kate asked.
Zach closed his eyes. There she goes with the questions. It's a good thing he loves her. "Hunters are strong just like slayers. That means their blood together will be very powerful. You would always want more. The only way to have more is to kill them before they kill all of us." he explained. "And that's why your dad has a plan. If he can drink their blood, he'll become so powerful, no other demon or vampire would want to stand up to him."
Kate nodded her head. Zach made a lot of sense. Her dad always had a plan, and a good one at that too. She shouldn't be too worried. If the slayer does care a lot about the hunters she'll have no choice but to show up, which means her dad will be alright.
