Aw, thanks Serenity! (Can I call you Serenity? Or is that like calling Sam "Sammy"?)

Well I finally got here and read it. Let's see, so much to say. First I am reading and find that the actual show is due to come on and I am torn. I want to finish reading the story....I want to watch the show! Urgh, what to do? Well I bet you guessed the show won out, cause I knew with confidence the story would be waiting for me when the show was over. Good thing cause I was dying to find out how Sam saved Dean.

What was great was they both saved the day. Dean crashed the impala, which harkened me back to the truck coming to collide with him in Route 666 (a scene I loved, what with JA expressions as he waited for the truck to hit him and his baby). Great image of him and I loved him realizing and contemplating that the car wasn't real and then that he wasn't real, talk about freaky! Again, I could picture JA taking the car to the wall.

And then Sam figuring everything out and taking care of the big bad guy. Great twist at the end having the camera on him and realizing that he would one day be whole and back in the world again. After all they never hurt real people on their jobs.

So many great brotherly moments and Deanisms, so realistic and true to the show and all that on top of the great suspense and supernatural elements.

Just an overall great job.

I had to laugh when you mentioned the rabbit hole and then of course we agree on Dean's attitude towards malls. I'd say great minds think alike but that would be giving me too much credit! LOL It still does amaze me how many similar elements can creep into these stories when they are written totally independently. Totally different stories, but snippets that overlap. Maybe that means we are being true to the characters.

Loved having the Rock in the Matrix role and then I personally loved having Clancy Brown as the Warden. It just gave me that extra little visual since I am familiar with his work. It was so nice to have a totally original Supernatural take on the Truman Show or Pleasantville type TV reality shows. Destroying the wall made perfect sense, but I hadn't even thought of it before Sam made the connection.

Again, just a fantastic job as usual. Just another example of great writing. Congrats, B.J.

Heh heh... Glad you enjoyed it! And I think there's a chance we've not seen the last of Howie!! (And yeah, I've not seen Playthings yet, but the show would have won out for me too!)

I actually did have Route 666 in my head when I wrote that scene of Dean crashing the Impala - that was the only good scene in that episode, after all! (You can tell I'm not a Cassie lover!)

And I think you're right - we're bound to all have similar ideas when we're writing these stories as we're writing about the same characters after all!!

Thanks for taking the time to read and review!!
