Yep definitely enjoyed the final chapter. Love your explanation of Sam's power, how he reflects power rather than creates power. Thank heavens evil Sam got his come uppance but so sad that the boys had to leave John behind. Can't help thinking that's another very neat tie in to John not appearing in the series anymore.
May I offer my congratfulations on a brilliantly crafted story.

I just got to read Refraction and have to tell ya, I loved it. The way the story folded in various themes from the series was done brilliantly, and in some cases, heartbreakingly. In a lot of ways, I wish that the series was following the virtual series cause the whole Sam dying and Dean going to hell after making the deal was just too hard to bear as was the Dean vs Sam of season 4.
I really enjoyed it and I can't wait to see how the boys will be getting John out of the alternate realities as well as how the fend off Lucifer. A great start to the season y'all!!!

In some ways, it's quite hard to write the VS because Sam and Dean are more season 2ish than the actual TV boys. But in other ways it's a relief not to have to deal with the whole Dean going to Hell / Sam demon blood thing! Although a future episode might see a brief visit from an element of canon SN!
