The Kent’s Red truck just pulls over by the side of the dock. It was a hot, sunny but fine Saturday morning and good ol’ Clark wasn’t about to waste a single minute of it doing chores around the farm. After a quick whip of his lightning speed, every single chore was done in 3 seconds tops.
He has asked his parents if he could go fishing afterwards, since they couldn’t find any reason why not the 17 year old, after ringing his friend who was just glad to get out of the mansion, here are the both of them, pulling over in the Red Truck by the pier.
Ever since the day Clark & Lex met the day of the accident at the bridge where he saved the Luthor heir, they have been the best of friends. Totally inseparable; if nobody knew any better one would take them for brothers.
“My father took me fishing once…” Started Lex, he just threw a glance at Clark beside him setting up their fishing rods in front of them. Lex meanwhile unloaded the rest of what they will be needing in their ‘gone fishing drama’ out of the back of the truck.
“No offense Lex, but I really don’t see Lionel to be the fishing type…” Clark just blurted smiling.
Lex just allowed a smirk to escape his lips as he had finally unloaded everything in front of Clark and him. ”None taken.” Was Lex’s response. “He afterwards actually considered it a waste of his time, Clark; spending time with his own son. I was this naïve 6 year old that was so starved of my father’s affection that I was practically begging for his attention.”
“I’m sorry, man.” came his younger friend’s apologetic tone with the squinty-eyes to match it.
“It’s in the past, Clark. And it clearly wasn’t your fault.” Teased Lex randomly. “Now come on, before I change my mind about this whole fishing fiasco.”
What his friend just told him earlier sort of made Clark feel sore, he felt sorry for Lex. But he was quickly removed from the whole musing when Lex just squirted him on the face with water from his Evian bottle. “Patience isn’t one of my virtues, my friend.”
“Hold your horses, Lex…and don’t do that again!” threatened Clark playfully to his friend.
Lex Luthor’s response was his cocky signature grin, as he turned his back on his younger friend who was Clark Kent. “Or you’ll do what, Clark? What could you possibly do that will be making me fear you?” Lex just blurted smirking, scoffing even; “You have no idea, man…” Clark blurted right back.
“Bring it on, Clarky ol’ boy!” Dared Lex, smirking; he just got into the boat that will be taking them to the middle of the lake armed with his fishing pole.
He could very well use his abilities to tease Lex and he wouldn’t even know what hit him, but Clark just shook his head with a big smile on his handsome face. Lex is his friend, his big brother and he just couldn’t do that to him, it would be unfair. But if ever his rich, egoistic friend ever dares him; he just might.
