Summery:Sam and Dean are two teenagers with totaly different personality's and a whole different perspective on there lives. . . with a father who lost some of his fatherhood along the way, with his beloved wife.

Chapter one

It's seven thirty in the morning and a very wound up 13 year old just stormed into the room him and his 17 year old brother shared, and slammed the door shut.

Dean winced when he heard the door slam, being in the middle of one of John's and Sam's argument's was not how he wanted to spend his last day in Ohio, but it was obvious it was going to happen, the winchester's are leaving.

John just walked over to the yellow and ugly kitchenette table and sat down on the wooden chair opposte his eldest son who was slumpped over with his elbows on the table and his hands bawled as fists resting on his cheeks, holding hm up.

"Dean tell him he has half an hour"John said gruffly looking at his son in the eye, almost pleading him to co-oporate.

Dean liffted up his arm's into a stretch and yawned, this was going to be a long day.He got up from his seat and grabbed his and Sam's half eaten bowl of cereal and dumped them both into the sink before turning to face his father.

"Yeah i'll talk him out of it--I alway's do" He smirked at his father whilst leaning against the sink with both hands hooked behind him on the sink.

"Whatever--Just have him ready--I don't want us arriving late on Jeff's door stop cause' of my disrespectful son" He said coldly.

Dean wanted to scream at his father why couldn't he see sam wasn't being disrespectful he just want's the holiday his Dad promised.Well okay his dad didn't promice but it was close enough for a thirteen year old boy to accept.

He didn't reply he just made his way to the bedroom and knocked at the door softly whilst his dad went out to his truck.

"Sammy can i come in?" Dean aked gently

"It's not like you want anyway" He replied coldly."

Dean pushed through the door and stood there by the door way looking at his 13 year brother dumping his clothes carelessly onto his duffel bag moodely.

Sam turned shaply towards to Dean and glared at him

"Don't give me the whole moving lecture either--you know dad promised a holiday and look we've already got a hunt and we've been here like what-- since yesterday afternoon!"

His brother could be a real ass sometimes but so could his father.


"You didn't expect Dad to actually plan on staying here for a while did you?"He asked softly to his younger sibling

"No--it's just he promised you know--All I wanted was a weekend--just one weekend--you, me and Dad as a normal family."

Dean walked in and leaned against the wall , folding his arm's , and placed one of his feat up against the wall and looked at his brother sympatheticaly.

"Sam I know you wanted to do this--But he didn't promice not from were I heard--he said maybe--and sammy we're not normal bro--you just goota get use to it is all"

"f***ing Dad"Sam growled.

4 beat's passed and Dean was still leaning against the wall watching his brother gather his belongings and pack.

"God I wish you two would just get along" Dean spoke up finaly

"Well that wish is never gunna come true--you would have to make a deal with a crossroad's demon first"he replied stomping over to the side table and picked up his book and popped it into his duffel.

"Sam it's not that hard to do as he say's you know--It's alot easier aswell"He offered.

Sam turned to him, his eye's burning with anger.

"I dont f***ing care what he want's--ever since mom died he's become an obssed bastard--"

And out of nowere sam was pinned to the wall with his big brother's hand's fisted into his shirt.His legs were dangling helplessly of the floor and he looked into Dean's red hot raged filled eye's.

"Don't you talk about her like that--you didn't know her" Dean spat.

"That's right Dean I didn't and I never will--" Dean banged him against the wall twice with his eye's filling with tears and let go of sam who landed on the floor with a thud.

"Seven thirty we're outta here"He spat to his brother than went out of the room with a door slam in his wake.

Awesome beginning! Poor Sam! He just wanted one weekend of normal and John won't even give him that. Its gotta be hard for Dean, too being stuck in the middle, especially when he can see both sides of the argument. Can't wait to see where this goes.

Chapter 2

They just pulled out of the motel parking lot ready for thier journey to john's old hunting buddy. John was a little more than stressed, his youngest is really getting on his last nerve, he never had this problem when his eldest turned thirteen, and he can't take it.

John gripped his stearing wheal as he braced himself for his youngest to erupt, and no doubt about it, that he will.

But it never came, sam was sitting on the back seat gazeing outside at passers by feeling extreamly guilty for what he said to Dean, sure it was the truth but for Sam he should have known by now that Dean hate's him talking about mum, just mentioning her name dean goes all moody, but sam doesn't blame Dean for that, he misses mom, unlike sam, he knew his mom but Sam was still a baby when he died, but he stll loved her just as much a Dean and his father

Dean who was ridding shotgun, feeling extreamly guilty for pinning Sam on the door earlier, of course it didn't hurt Sam when Dean banged him a few time's, it was just Dean's way of telling Sam he didn't want to hear it, but being Sam, he alway's pushes the right buttons.Dean tried to hide the guilt and focuss on the day ahead of them, finaly he was going to meat some real hunters his own age.Don't get hm wrong though he liked hanging around with his brother, but they don't agree most things, and he can't wait till he meat's Jeff's kids.

"Dean..." Dean was pulled out of his thought's by his baby brother calling his name.

Dean turned around to face Sam and waited for what Sam was about to say.

"I didn't mean it"Sam said quitely looking at his hand's on his lap which at this moment were very fasinating.

"Yeah."Dean said softly with a smile made only for his brother. "Me too"

Sam looked up at him and smiled back, showing his dimples.

John was looking through his rearview mirror at the exchanges his son's were giving off.

"What happend?"John demanded to his youngest.

There it was again. . . Dean though to himself when he turned his face to look at his dad. Alway's gotta asume it was Sammy. . . Dean shock his head.

"Nothing!" Sam snapped at his father.Quickly recorvering from his quite state earlier.

"I said--- what happend?"John breathed out an exsausted sigh.

"And I said 'Nothing' " Sam replied cockily.

"Sam don't give me lip boy--and tell me what happend--I'm not going to ask again" John scowlded.

"Fine."

3 beat's passed and still sam said nothing,

"Well spit it out" John demanded.

"I thought you were not going to ask me again?" Sam said cockily with a smirk plastered over his face folding his arm's.

"You disrespect me when we arrive at Jeff's and we are going to have some serious trouble!" And with that Sam just rolled his eye's and turned his face to continue looking outside at the passing seneary, although it was all the same, Trees, mountains. . . grass.

They've been on the road for fourty minutes now, not much futher till they end up at Jeff's Lonely cabin in the middle of nowere, nothing but tree's and supernatural experiences.

It was all in slilence untill they ended up at Jeff's. . .

Don't know whose worse John or Sam. This one is all on John. They were doing fine until he butted into the boys' conversation and like Dean said assumed Sam did something wrong.

Chapter 3

John just pulled up his truck into Jeffs driveway, the cabin was pretty big considering it was the only one in this forest.It looked kinda creapy but creepier during the night, the two story cabin stood in between trees lunging over the top of the roof as if the forest was about to devour it.

It was surrounded around a small wooden fence plastered in ancient supernatural symbols to keep the evil out and the good in.There was some lighting provided by the lamps scattered around the garden and fence. at least they could see were they were going.

Dean just leaned over to have a good look at the cabin.

John looked over to Dean at least 6 inch's away from his face.

"Well this looks cosy." He spoke sacarsticly

"Yeah real cosy" He said under his breath.

"Wake yor brother up--I'll let Jeff know we're here."He got out the car and shut the door with a slam, which coursed sam to jerk awake.

Dean cursed, he knew his dad cold be a real jerk sometimes, he knew Sam was aleep but he slammed the door anyway.Dean looked over to Sam and put his hand on the younger sibling's shoulder to calm his panicked brother.

"It's okay sam"He soothed, and Sam's heart slowed down to an even pace emeidetely from the comforting touch and quickly layed down his head at the back of the seat and shut his eye's willing sleep to come to him once more.

"Oh no you dont sleepy head"Dean said and got out from the door making sure he closed the door softly making sure not alarm his younger brother.

He walked around the truck and opened the back door slowly.He bent down and shook Sam lightly until he opened his eye's fully.

"Come on Sam open thoose baby blues of yours"Dean said and eventually Sam did as he was told although he was tierd from staying up most of the night planning a day with his family which has been cancelled.

"' 'kay"Sam replied sleepily, openening his groggy eye's.

Dean smiled at him and led his brother out of the car,One arm around Sam's wais the other to shut the door behind him.

Sam stumbeled once but when the fresh air rushed towards his face, he became more alert, he blinked twice and gave a slight push at Dean in embarasement.

"I got it" Sam mumbeled, but didn't leave his big brohers side.

"Whatever" Dean replied.

"What about the bags?" Sam asked.

"Fetch um' later"

There was 2 beats and then Dean and Sam were ouside the door, they both looked at each other and Dean knocked twice.

There was an answer, and when the door opened there stood a large, tall man, with short light, brown hair with a pair of black glasses covering his green/blue eye's.

"John's boy's ?" He asked in a cheery voice.

"Yeah--I'm Dean and this--" Dean placed a hand on Sam's shoulder "--I's my small--sometime's annoying--Who reealy should be thinking less about work and more about fun--Little brother"

Sam looked at Dean with a glare and brushed Dean's hand away roughly before looking at th man at the door way.

"I'm Sam actually and this--" Sam pointed at Dean swiftly "--Is my big--cocky--ass--son of a bitch for a brother" And with that walked straight passed Dean and into the cabin and sat on the stairs.

"Owwkkaay" Replied the man "Yeah i'm Jeff" He put out his hand to shake Dean's who happily did the same.

"Sammy's a pussycat--you'll get use to it" Dean winked and walked into the cabin himself and shot a glare at Sam who looked away and pouted.

"Ya Father's in the kitchen son--" He pointed across to a door "--That way"

"Chears" Dean said humbly before grabbing Sam by the arm.

"Don't be an asswhole" Dean whispered into Sam's ear. Sam breathed out a sigh of rage but complied to dean's 'ordder'

Chapter four

The four hunters were sitting in the kitchen, Sam and John have been glaring at each other for three minutes now and noone has said a word.

The silence was getting Dean all worked up, like he was just waiting for either his Dad or Sam to kick off.

"So..."Jeff broke the silence, that was threatening to conume him,he didn't think beng with all three winchester's would be so hard to deal with, he turned to face John."My boy's should be back soon, thier just down at the libary diggin' up some information on this spirt."That's it we all can talk about the hunt...break the ice...Nice and slow

All eye's were on him then except for Sam's he was still glaring at the side of Jon's face.

"Great--When they get back we will get down to buisness--"John turned towards Dean"--You and your brother get your stuff from the truck"

"Yes sir"Dean replied.

"I am here you know"Sam muttered.

John turned towards his youngest again, all eye's were on Sam.

"And afterwards you can do 10 laps--understand me?"John said sternly

Nothing."I said do you understand me?"

"Crystal."John gave him a warning look "Sir."

Sam ot up from his chair and walked towards the door were Dean was currently leaning on.

"Come on Dean dad gave us an order--Don't want to disrespect him now do we?"Sam muttered , just out of ear shot to the other hunters.

As soon as they left the tention in the kitchen seamed to sooth.

When they heard the soft click of the front door shuting, Dean without warning slapped Sam at the back of his head causing him to turn around shooting the nasty-est glare his brother has ever seen.

"Dude what's your problem?" Sam hissed, rubbing the sore spot at the back of his head.

"Dad tells you no to do something and you go ahead and dont--do take pleasure in seeing dad so mad?"Dean spat.

"Well if he stops treating us like we're some sort soilders and actually be a father"

Dean took a threatening step towards Sam who didn't even flinch.

"Dad does his best--and if you just follow his or--"

"We're not here to just follow his danm orders Dean" Sam raised his voice.

Dean just couldn't be assed woth argueing any more so he just walked straight passed Sam and to the truck to do as his father had told him to, cause' dean is a good son.

"And don't screw up this hunt!" Dean hissed harshly, before unloading his and his dad's duffels from the truck's boot.

Okay that actually hurt, did his own brother say he was a screw up? Well to hell it felt like it.

Sam unloaded his own duffel bag and made it back into the cabin following behind Dean.

He vowed to himself, he was going to do anything he can to not screw it up not for his dad but for his brother.

Chapter five

Dean, John and Jeff we're sitting in the kitchen once again talking about the new hunt, after Dean and Sam orted out thier room that they had to share.Sam was still up there reading his book that he's alreadt read 4 times, he really wants a new one for his birthday.

"So Dean your dad tells me you been looking forward to this hunt?" Jeff took a long sip of his coffee facing the young hunter.

"Yes sir, but my brother isn't"

"Oh?"

"Yeah he's allways on about being 'normal'" Dean mocked at the word normal.

"Yea, and sometimes he can be a real pain in the ass" John sighed deaply

"Their not all the same though" Jeff stated.

"Wish they were" John mumbeled. "When's your boys gunna be back?"

They heard a car pull up outside, then there was heards of laughter.

"There here" Jeff said, he looked over to Dean who had a big smile on his face.

The firt boy was the tallest, around the same height as Dean, with short blonde hair, spiked with gell and blue eyes. he was wearing navy blue jeans with a rip on the left knee and long sleeved AC/DC top, with a jacket to match.

The shortest one, prabably about two inches taller than Sam had short brown hair with a side fringe which had a blonde stripe seaping into it, big brown eyes and was wearing grey joggers, and T-shirt with a wolf on it.

Finaly the last, he was two inches taller than his second brother, hi whole hair was eamingky long but it was spiked like a hedgehog , except for his fring which layed looely over his dark blue eye's, his checked shirt matched his Jeans.

"Hey--" he put out his hand towards Dean "--im Todd"

Dean took it, and thought woah these guys rock.

"Dean." Dean nodded.

"Cool--This--" He pointed to his smallest sibling "--is greg"

"W'Sup" He waved his hand to Dean.

"And thats rico" He pointed to younger brother who was currently in the fridge, Todd coughed loaudly, causing Rico to bump his head on the shelf of the fridge, which luckly had nothing but a block of cheese on it.

"Sorry dude" Rico said and rubbed his head, everyone snickered even the eldest hnters.

"Dude you only just had a breakfast" Greg said.

"Yeah well i'm hungry" replied Rico, grabbing a plate of apple pe "Mmm--love me some apple pie"

"Dude high five" Dean said, they clapped hands together.

"See Dean likes apple pie" Greg said smugly

"Whatever dude" Todd said

"Your brother always like this?" Dean asked Todd.

"Yeah, I gotta tell you thouh after he's eatin' anything he stinks--if you know what I mean" He grined evily

"Hey I heard that"

"Boy's"Jeff pipped up "This Mr.Winchester, Dean and Sam's father"

"Sir" All three said on courus.

"Boy's" John replied simpley with a small smile.

"Wait--man who the hell is Sam?" Rico asked, earning a warning look from his father.

"Sorry sir" Rico said curtely.

"He's my little brother" Dean said before adding "Danm right annoying one too"

"Aw, greg's our baby brother" Todd said

"Shut up" Greg grumbeled

"Sill the baby"Todd said quitely with a hug4e grin on is face.

"Todd you better shut up befor I lame your ass" Greg hissed

"Touchy"

"Dude i'm sixteen"

"Boy's thats enough"Jeff said "So what we dealing with?"

"Huh?" Rico said, Todd stood on Rico's foot who yelpled in suprise.

"Well you know when greg said it was a spirit--It's not" Todd flinched

"What the hell is it then?" Jeff demanded

"Well,"Greg started of", it's complicated"

"What do you mean complicated?" John asked

"It is a spirit---"

" You just said it wasn't---"

"--But--its no ordinary one"

"How old is Sam?" Rico asked out of the blue

"He's 13--see he's a baby--younger than you Greg" Dean snickered

"We might have a prolem" Greg spoke up.

"What do you mean?" John asked coususly

"The spirits are attracted to the youngest out of the group of people that enter the asylum--We did some research--"Greg dug into his back pack and pulled out a stack of papers, he plced them on the table were his fter and John sat and picked up the first sheet"--Ruby, 14 years old entered the abarndend asylum and never came out again after her 16 year old brother, Jacob mckrieal and girlfriend sally rogers murderd her--both suspects were uncinsiuss and Ruby was dead , when the state police found them in boiler room--Ruby was brutilzed to death"

There was long pause when everyone jut thinking when someone decided to speak up.

"We will discuss this later" John said tey all nodded.

"Hey dad do reckon Sammy should take a look at them--Looks like you need a little help" Dean asked whilst getting of his chair.

His dad gave him a... ' you really think he will' Look.

"Nah, your right--" Dean said and went to the door before his dad cold go on "--cominto meat my bro'?" Dean asked the three young hunters, who raced over to Dean to leave the eldest hunters studing.
