This is a short story about Dean's one year deal and how it's going to end. I hope you guys will enjoy.
"Sammy," Dean said in a near whisper, choosing the correct words to say to his younger brother. "Stop beating yourself up, okay? This isn't your fault that things have to come to this. I'm sorry. I really am. But it's time. Time I have to go. Just promise me something, would 'ya? Sam, look at me. Please."
Sam lifted his blurry gaze up from the smooth carpet to meet his brother's warm eyes. "What is it?"
He sighed, his heart slowly breaking at the terrible sight in front of him. "Promise me you'll stop hunting for once. Go back to your normal life. You got that?"
"I will,"
"And one more thing?"
"Yeah?"
"I love you."
"I love you, too."
"Good-bye, baby brother." Dean's voice started quivering.
Getting up from his spot on the bed, he took one last glance at Sam, and left.
It was only a matter of seconds when more tears flooded down his already reddened cheeks. The best gift, the best gift he ever had, was his elder brother. And now he's gone. Gone like his mom, his lover, and his father. But then, Sam realized that even though everyone that was closed to him had passed away, they'll all watch over him. Through the bad times, and even the good times.
"Sam," a faint, unclear voice washed across him.
"Yeah?" He jumped in his seat, turning around to look at his beautiful new wife with her blonde hair shining under the afternoon sun. She was standing in the doorway of his room, leaning against the wall in a tee and shorts.
"Are you alright? I've been calling for you a couple times now." Lana asked, a touch of concern laced in her voice.
"Yeah, I'm alright. Just thinking." Sam explained. "What do you need?"
"Nothing. I just wanted someone to talk to." She walked over to her husband, and sat down, wrapping an arm around his waist. "Are you sure you're alright? Wait, this is about your brother, isn't it?"
He gulped, knowing this would come. "Yes, i-it's Dean."
Sam didn't dare to meet her hazel eyes. At least not now.
"Look at me, Sam."
He did, just in time to press his lips against Lana's.
"I don't think Dean would've wanted for you to be this upset over his death. And I don't think so, either."
"But-"
Before he can protest, another voice made contact to his ears. "The hot chick's right, Sammy."
Sam started looking through the room frantically to see where the source of the sound was coming from, but relaxed in time to realize that it was only his brother's spirit, reassuring him.
"Shh," Lana puts her pointer finger on Sam's lips. "Calm down."
"Whatever you say," Sam nodded, his face finally softening with a slight grin. "Now why don't we go get a cup of hot chocolate and plan our honeymoon?"
"Sounds like the perfect idea."
"I'm proud of you."

Let me know what you all thought. Thanks!
